Real estate, properties, home renovation, new builds, soft furnishings, designer vs architects, stylist, modern furniture vs vintage, off the plan, stone textures and paint colour palettes – these are just some of the absolute obsessions we all have on The Beaches. So much so we’re proud to present our brand new magazine, Beaches PROPERTY.

Teaming up with the experts at Upstate Real Estate, I caught up with Peter Mosedale, Director In Charge of Upstate, to get the wrap on what to expect in the market this Winter.

Our Winter focus is getting your property to market right now. Stock on The Beaches is low and demand is high, so maximising the outcome for vendors is all in the timing and our top priority.

The three hottest suburbs on The Beaches right now are Freshwater, Collaroy and Dee Why, which might be surprising but there are lots of off-the-plan opportunities.

Our best-selling developments this season are Hamptons by Rose in Dee Why and Bathers in Collaroy. Hamptons is enjoying the most momentum and selling well to first homeowners, investors and downsizers. Bathers is our premium development and focused on the downsizer market.

In a world where trades people are hard to nail down, our exceptional Upstate Concierge Service is a winner. We have key relationships with trades, and we manage over 2000 properties which affords us great pricing. Our Concierge Service will come into your home without the industrial blindness, propose value ads and maximise sale potentials. Your options are to take it up, do it yourself, get one of your mates to do it or don’t bother, but it’s nice to have options. We do this for people in Singapore, Western Australia or St Ives. They might not even see the property, and we can get in and do all the hard work for them. This reduces days on the market and increases competition and sales price.

Over the next 34 pages in collaboration with Upstate, we are proud to bring you all things property across The Beaches and beyond. Get inspiration for your new kitchen, soft furnishings for your latest home project, find a tiling specialist and work out what natives to plant in your garden.

I hope you enjoy reading this new magazine as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it. Happy Winter and may your property journey be a good one!

5 WAYS TO PREPARE YOUR HOME ... TO SELL FOR MORE

Thinking about updating the façade of your home, popping in a new bathroom vanity or a maybe a new kitchen before sale? Upstate Property Concierge is a personalised service that coordinates everything for you. No job is too big or too small. Whether it’s simple paint touch ups or a full renovation, the team will work seamlessly to help you manage the entire process, take away the stress and give you peace of mind.

To help you get started with preparing your home for sale, the Concierge team have prepared the following five tips:

START WITH A DEEP CLEAN

As obvious as it sounds, this is the best place to start. Give all the windows a clean to make them sparkle. Steam cleaning carpets and polishing floors will help the home feel fresh. A house wash will remove cobwebs, eliminate grime build up and a pressure clean of hard surfaces can make a big difference.

DECLUTTER TO CREATE SPACE

A cluttered house can make a home appear cramped, and that’s the last thing we want buyers thinking. Remove anything extra to the garage or storage so buyers can see the space not the stuff.

GIVE THE GARDEN SOME LOVE

Outdoor spaces are just as important as indoor spaces. Trim shrubs and bushes, mulch garden beds, weed and mow lawns and remove any dead or excessive pot plants. Winter can take a toll on the lawns and gardens so be sure to tend to these so they can look their best when ready to sell.

Speak to your local Upstate team today, and they’ll show you the possibilities that are earning excellent results.

upstate.com.au

REPAIR AND RENOVATE

Winter is a great time to get those much-needed repairs and renovations done before you sell. Buyers love a home that feels fresh and well-maintained because its less work for them when they become the new owners. Work through all the odd jobs on your list, think about a fresh coat of paint, new carpet or simply upgrade the lighting.

GET YOUR HOME PROFESSIONALLY STYLED

We want to create a connection from the moment buyers view your property. A beautifully styled home will maximise the appeal and attract as many buyers as possible. We use styling to create an emotional connection to your property, it allows the potential buyer to imagine themselves living in the space. Reach out to the Property Concierge team who can arrange this for you.

If you are looking to sell and get the best price, you’re welcome to use our complimentary Property Concierge services. Please get in touch with us today to arrange a meeting with our team.

Renovations Redefining

In a landscape of uncertainty and constant change, reliable builders are more important than ever. Beaches Group, an innovative development company, is redefining residential development and renovations. Beaches COVERED. sat down with Director, Tim Robinson, to discuss how they are revolutionising the industry. From their comprehensive project management services to their seamless integration of landscaping, Beaches Group is setting new standards for quality and reliability. Read on to discover how they are transforming the building industry.

Hi Tim, tell us a bit about yourself. How did you get into this industry?

Growing up watching Backyard Blitz has a lot to answer for! I have always been passionate about design and build. From a young age, I spent weekends working on projects with my builder grandfather, igniting my interest in the industry and helping around the house with ongoing landscaping projects. After travelling for a year, I returned home in 2002 to pursue a career in Landscaping and Horticulture. Over the years, I acquired qualifications in Carpentry, Building, Project Management, and a Bachelor of Design and Technology.

TIM ROBINSON, BEACHES GROUP DIRECTOR

"Beaches Group have great attention to detail and are good communicators. I have been very impressed with Tim and his team would have no hesitations in recommending their services to others."

B. CHANT, SEAFORTH

What sets Beaches Group apart from other builders?

We stand out by offering a comprehensive package that combines expertise in building, landscaping, design, and project management. Unlike specialised contractors, we integrate landscaping from the start, resulting in superior planning and coordination. By working with our design team, clients enjoy a streamlined experience with a single company, ensuring clear communication, consistent quality, and efficient coordination.

How important is landscaping to the overall integrity of a development?

Landscaping plays a vital role in the overall integrity of a development. Having started in landscaping, I ensure that it is not left second place and holds equal importance to the build as a whole. It enhances the overall visual appeal of a property, being one of the first things you see when approaching a house. Outdoor living is not something new, but rather something that has been reinvented in recent years. The connection between indoor and outdoor spaces contributes to the beauty, character and sense of functional integration allowing landscaping and the built environment to seamlessly integrate. Moreover, these exceptional spaces within our home directly impacts our wellbeing.

How can you help clients with no experience in property development during the planning stage?

We understand the overwhelming nature of navigating the planning stages, especially for inexperienced clients. Our project management service provides comprehensive assistance and support throughout this crucial phase. Additionally, our skilled designers create 3D interior layouts and landscape plans, helping clients visualise their project and make informed choices.

Renovating is a costly exercise. Is an architect an integral part of the process?

When planning a major building project, the first step is to hire an architect. However, it’s equally important to engage a comprehensive construction company. While architects can bring your vision to life and guide you through the approvals process, not all small to medium projects require their services. At Beaches Group, we collaborate with many architects to introduce landscaping concepts and plans. The major benefit of engaging a comprehensive design and build company is the ability to have everything handled by a single organisation. Our design work is undertaken with a construction background, which ensures that every aspect of the building process is considered. This thoughtful design approach includes overcoming structural hurdles and mitigating common design issues such as stormwater management.

continue

“We engaged Beaches Group to do an extensive renovation to our home in Palm Beach. Tim and his team were highly professional, creative and hard working throughout the whole build. We were impressed with Tim's excellent communication skills, practical and creative ideas and attention to detail. Tim maintained this from start to finish along with quality workmanship which we really appreciated."

What trends are you seeing in residential development and renovations?

Layers and natural materials. Creating a harmonious blend of materials is an essential aspect of any building project. Thoughtful planning is crucial to ensure that layers of materials complement each other and align with current design trends. The effective use of natural materials is a key factor in achieving exceptional results. However, without

thorough foresight, you risk ending up with a mismatched mess. That’s why it’s paramount to conceptualise the planning stage early on and work with a skilled operator who can guide you through the process.

How important is the facade of a property?

The façade of a property greatly adds to its value. First impressions last, and high-quality material choices

should always be considered for the front of your home. Careful consideration should be given when addressing street appeal while also maintaining privacy, considering locality, aspect and architectural concept.

What is your favourite part of the job? Witnessing the total transformation of a home and garden package is one of the greatest joys. Building strong relationships with clients is paramount

to our success, as it allows us to deeply understand preconceptions and align throughout the design and construction journey. Our high client satisfaction is a testament to the hard work and commitment we put into our projects.

What are the common pitfalls during a build and how can you avoid them?

One common issue in the construction industry is opting for quick and cheap options that compromise long-term durability. At Beaches Group, we prioritise high-quality finishes that withstand the test of time. We ensure the use of appropriate materials and best practices to achieve aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound results.

Proper planning and consideration of groundworks and drainage are also crucial to avoid long-term property issues.

Going over budget seems to be an inevitable part of the process. How do you help clients manage this? Our projects operate on “cost plus” contracts, ensuring transparency and fair arrangements. Clients only pay for completed work, with agreed-upon rates and margins. For this type of arrangement, a trusting relationship between contractor and client is paramount. To maintain transparency, we utilise project management software to track expenses, provide budget updates, and communicate timelines.

reports and documentation allow clients to assess costs, progress, and make informed decisions.

Beaches Group specialises in blending building, landscaping, and design to create dream spaces for clients planning home renovations, renovations coupled with landscaping, or smaller outdoor space projects. Their commitment to delivering a premium service within the residential building sector drives them to provide precise, timely, and efficient work. HOME IS WHERE

Hygge IS

When you think of the cosiest spot in your home, what image comes to mind? For many of us, it might be the kitchen. And for good reason; it’s where we gather with family and friends to share a meal.

For local Danish kitchen designers John and Helle Olsen, owners of Collaroy Kitchen Centre, creating a kitchen that’s not only sophisticated but also warm and inviting have been their life’s work. Beaches COVERED. sat down with these Hygge experts to get their top tips for creating a kitchen that will make everyone want to spend more time there.

Hygge (pronouced hoo-ga), a warm and comforting feeling, has been a part of Scandinavian culture since the 1800s. Today, it's a global phenomenon, and Nordic-style homes are known for incorporating it. Don't forget that the kitchen is another crucial space in your home that deserves to be cosy and warm, in addition to the rest of the home.

A HYGGEINSPIRED COLOUR PALETTE

To create a hygge-inspired kitchen with a Scandinavian design aesthetic, embrace simplicity with minimal use of colour and neutrals. Emphasise light and airiness with varying shades of white and

grey. Then enhance the cosy feeling by adding pops of warm colour throughout. When incorporating colour trends in your hygge kitchen, focus on warm and inviting hues to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Whether you choose warm neutrals, soft greens, rich blues, or warm metallics, these shades can help you transform your kitchen into a cosy and welcoming retreat.

SET THE MOOD IN YOUR HOME HUB

Add some ambience to your kitchen with lighting upgrades. Install dimmer switches to overhead lights and set the mood for a refreshing atmosphere. Or, streamline your life by incorporating an integrated lighting system within your cabinetry. For an added touch of elegance, include under-bench lights. These integrated lights will brighten up your space and add a touch of style to your kitchen oasis. It’s amazing how much lighting can transform your kitchen into a stylish and functional space.

SIMPLICITY IS KEY

When creating a kitchen, embrace simplicity. A cluttered space is not functional and will only cause stress,

so focus on getting rid of items that don't bring you joy. Creating a hygge atmosphere requires decluttering your kitchen and making sure everything has a designated home. Clever storage options like integrated cupboards can be incredibly helpful in hiding bulky appliances and maintaining a streamlined look. When every item has a designated home, your minimalist aesthetic will come together effortlessly! Bespoke kitchens offer a variety of storage solutions to make it easy for you to create your own sense of hygge in the heart of your home.

INCORPORATING NATURAL ELEMENTS

To create a warm, inviting kitchen that is hygge, it's important to integrate natural elements such as timber and plants. Adding timber features to light cabinetry or incorporating streamlined Nordic-style Teak Stools can add texture and warmth to the space. Integrating plants into your kitchen decor is another effective way to create a relaxing atmosphere. Thriving greenery on wooden shelves can add to the soft and gentle ambience that hygge requires, transforming your kitchen into a natural oasis. Some excellent plant options for a hygge kitchen include Spathiphyllum (Peace Lily), Schefflera (Umbrella Plant), Phalaenopsis (Orchid), Sansevieria (Mother-in-law's tongue), and ferns. And don't forget some potted herbs like Basil, Parsley, and Coriander as well.

For over 25 years, John and Helle have designed kitchens that accentuate the spirit of Hygge – family and togetherness. Their expert team can help you build an intimate atmosphere in any space, bringing their Danish design sensibility to every project. Visit their showroom today. •

Michelle Begley is a Director of nuevue, a window furnishings company on the Northern Beaches that delivers high quality products and an impressive end-to-end service. In a catch up with Beaches COVERED. she recalls playing in her grandmother’s retail studio with in-house workroom in Bondi and how these profound childhood memories shaped her life forever.

With a legacy spanning three generations, nuevue has been crafting premium window treatments and luxury soft furnishings, including indoor and outdoor solutions since 2007.

“My late grandmother, Diana, was an industry leader for over 30 years,” says the nuevue Director, and local Mum-of-three, Michelle Begley.

“My Father, Jonathan, worked alongside her. He’s now coming up to 42 years in the industry. When I was a child, my weekends and holidays were spent immersed in fabrics, trims, curtain hardware and lending a hand for onsite installations.

“My earliest memories are of making up curtain tracks with my father and laying out fabrics on the work benches with the tailors and seamstresses. I was like a kid in a candy store; everything was exciting.”

Following university, Michelle worked as a primary school teacher before making

her way back to the industry where her family’s business began. Originally based out of a double lock up garage, it was the quest for more space and business expansion that brought her northside.

“We started our business in Bellevue Hill, which is where the spelling of nuevue is inspired from. When the business required a bigger premises, we got our passports and moved across the bridge,” she laughs.

Now, nestled in the industrial heart of Cromer, nuevue is a cherished lifestyle business that loves helping their clients bring their dreams to life, tailoring their vast array of functional and aesthetic desires.

“Window and soft furnishings can make a huge difference to the look and feel of your home,” explains Michelle. “And the thing is, leaving it to the last minute can sometimes lead to a compromise in the desired outcome.”

The dedicated team at nuevue work closely with architects, builders and decorators, offering the full end-to-end service from initial design to installing, which guarantees stunning aesthetics, accuracy and flawless execution.

“We can offer a lot more to our clients when we come in at the beginning of the process,” explains Michelle.

“For instance for motorised products, we can talk directly to the electrician, and there are a lot more possibilities to create something special. Everything is thought out well and the pieces of the puzzle click together beautifully on final installation day.”

Michelle takes pride in cultivating strong and meaningful relationships with her clients and admits there’s something special about being involved from the beginning to the end.

“Sometimes we arrive onsite when there aren’t even walls in place. Fast forward and we are there to put on the finishing touches at that moment when it all comes together. We love sharing that with our clients.”

nuevue window and soft furnishings feature in homes across the Eastern Suburbs, North Shore and the Northern Beaches, as well as the Inner West, Central Coast and Southern Highlands.

“To explore our full range, we invite people to drop into our NEW showroom in Cromer. It’s a wonderful space for our clients and decorators to see, touch, feel and experience our products. Having our clients as part of the creating and designing process is important to us and here we can explore all the possibilities,” adds Michelle. “If it’s not possible to come into the showroom, we also do onsite consultations where we bring our mobile showroom to you!” •

Styling Styling with Soul with

Visionary Interior Designer and Founder of Inside Out Real Estate Styling, Rosie Zofrea, has redefined the world of design with her signature style, consistently transforming spaces into works of art. Her latest masterpiece, La Villa, is a sophisticated and versatile space that can be hired for any occasion that calls for an exquisite setting.

Hi Rosie. You are the midas of interiors, everything you touch turns to gold! Were you born with impeccable taste or is it a skill that you have learnt?

I've been a creative person for as long as I can remember. My rich heritage, combined with my experiences and the people I've met over the years have helped shape my ever-evolving style. I've spent the past 20 years in real estate and design and have completed a Real Estate diploma, an Interior Design Certificate at CATC, and specialised training in Home Staging and decluttering. In 2015, I brought together my love for real estate and interiors by starting Inside Out Real Estate Styling.

We love your quote, "I may look normal, but in my head, I'm redecorating every property I see." Can you share your mental styling process? When I'm designing a space, my mind becomes a whirlwind of activity as I measure the area and contemplate its ideal style. It's not just about aesthetics; it's about creating an emotional connection with those who enter the space and evoking a specific feeling within them.

"I want to revamp my home." What steps are involved in the ‘make-over’ process? I'll begin with an on-site meeting at your home to discuss your preferences and assess the space. Next, I'll create a Pinterest board that captures the overall style and aesthetic. Finally, I'll present a detailed vision board showcasing proposed items for each room, bringing the transformation to life.

La Villa, your stunning and versatile styling studio, exudes Mediterranean sophistication. How can people make the most of this space?

It's very versatile. We've created a space that's perfect for artists and their work, employers wanting to meet with their teams, or groups of people who want to take a unique photo. We have options for creatives looking for a backdrop for their latest photoshoot, plus all the furniture and homewares you need to create the perfect scene.

It's a secret haven, a place to escape to, enjoy an expresso and be inspired to rethink any interior space. Plus, my team and I are on hand to seek expertise.

How does home styling increase property value when selling? Have you ever changed someone's mind to sell? A well-styled property can increase sales prices by 10%. In the digital age, creating a strong online visual impression is crucial to attract more buyers. Styling adds personality and helps buyers visualise living in the space. Our team loves bringing properties to life and building relationships with clients. I've often heard clients say, "I don't want to move out now, the property looks amazing." We’re devoted to adding soul and personality to every home we style. We want you to walk into a home, not just a house. After all, home isn't a place; it's a feeling. And we know the right styling solutions maximises the property’s appeal and ultimately it's value.

Rosie, it's been great to hear about your styling and studio business. How can people get in touch with you? It's been a pleasure chatting with you too! 5Natives to plant this Winter!

Want to get your hands grubby in the garden this Winter? Marina Grassecker, Managing Director at Harvest Native Nursery in Terrey Hills , shares her smart tips and the five best plants you may wish to invest in this season.

Myth buster!

Many people think plants should not be planted in Winter. Wrong!

“Plants are just like humans,” says Marina Grassecker from Harvest Native Nursery in Terrey Hills .

“We, and they, need warmth, shelter, food and lots of love! They also take time to adjust to their new surroundings. When the weather warms up, the soil is already warming up and plants will be ready to take advantage of this and start growing. Remember, native leaf mulch acts as a blanket and will help keep the soil warm in Winter while also keeping weeds down.”

Marina says Winter is a great time to pull out pesky weeds, by the roots or use a natural herbicide to eradicate them.

“If you don’t have time to get rid of the seed heads before they mature to stop them spreading, you can pick them off the stems, mow or whipper snip.”

Native plants prefer pruning in Autumn or Spring as the cold can damage new shoots in Winter. There are lots of beautiful native plants to consider planting this season – here are Marina's top five!

Isopogon Anethifolius

ISOPOGON ANETHIFOLIUS is a beautiful shrub that can grow up to 2-metres tall and has soft, feathery leaves. But what makes it truly unique are the yellow, rounded flower heads that are sure to catch your eye. They're so interesting and add such a pop of colour to any garden. If you're looking for a stunning shrub to add to your collection, Isopogon anethifolius is definitely worth considering.

Grevillea Rosmarinifolia

BANKSIA ERICIFOLIA is an amazing plant that usually grows to about 3-metres high and wide, and it's super bushy! What's even better is that it attracts a lot of birds with its beautiful orange, red, and golden-coloured brushes that bloom most of the year. This versatile plant can tolerate most soils, but it does prefer some moisture during drought times. So, if you're looking for a plant that's not only beautiful but also bird-friendly, Banksia ericifolia is definitely worth considering!

HAKEA DACTYLOIDES is a beautiful addition that can add a touch of magic to your garden. Its small flowers attract an enormous amount of interest from wildlife, and it can grow up to 5-metres, creating a dense, small tree - perfect for any garden!

GREVILLEA

ROSMARINIFOLIA is a dense, semi-prickly shrub that grows up to 2-metres and flowers most of the year. It's a great plant that is food and habitat for the small birds such as wrens and finches and also for bees and butterflies.

3 &

Stylidium Graminifolium

STYLIDIUM GRAMINIFOLIUM is a little native perennial herb that's a treasure to have in your garden! It's an amazing attractor for butterflies and bees, making your garden come to life with their presence.

WHAT ABOUT INSECTS?

If insects are damaging your plants, my best tip is to let them eat and let them live! Butterflies grow from caterpillars, and spiders, wasps and flies, rely on your plants to feed on, build nests with and generally have a good life by pollinating plants. Birds feed on these critters too. There is a massive decline in the insect population so we need to let birds eat insects instead of getting rid of them.

Keep in mind, when caterpillars demolish a plant, the butterflies and moths you see are a result of you letting them munch on your garden – it’s the best café in the insect world! If your garden has lots of insects feeding on the plants, it’s part of the ecosystem and ecosystems need animalia to thrive. •

Saving the Daintree One Scoop at a Time

Ben & Jerry's Manly has teamed up with HalfCut, a global movement dedicated to rainforest conservation, to help raise awareness and funds that will conserve the Daintree Rainforest in Queensland for it’s traditional owners, Eastern Kuku Yalanji people. Since August of last year, this Scoop Shop has raised over $12,000. You too can help to conserving a portion of the rich biodiversity in the world’s oldest rainforest.

HalfCut is an organisation that aims to protect crucial and endangered biodiversity in the fight for climate justice, all while supporting the Traditional Owners of the land by handing over management and healing of Country.

Last year, the team at the Manly Scoop Shop held a variety of fundraising initiatives, including Round-Up Donations, where customers could choose to round up their purchases to donate the difference.

The store also offered Coconut Bowls paired with delicious scoops of ice cream, providing a unique and ecofriendly ice cream experience. Raffles were organised, offering incredible hampers with prizes donated by local businesses in Manly while the "Guess how many lollies are in the Lolly Jar" competition added an element of fun.

Ben & Jerry's Manly even organised a breakfast event with local community members to raise donations while the dedicated staff members also contributed their own personal donations to showcase their commitment to making a difference in their community.

As Ben and Jerry's Manly enters their third year of involvement and partnership with HalfCut, they strive to surpass the achievements of the previous year, making an even greater impact.

"It's not every day that you see your local ice cream shop saving endangered rainforests," says Alyssa Reynolds, Store Manager. "It's a good time to get down, grab a scoop and play a part in ensuring a safe future for all species on Earth," adds Hayley Economos, Social Mission Lead.

In March, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released a report revealing the severe and widespread impacts of climate change. To avoid a catastrophic future, stronger climate action is needed. While many countries are accelerating their transition to clean technologies, Australia currently ranks among the bottom 10 nations for action on climate change.

Across the world, governments and businesses are racing to Net Zero and accelerating the transition to clean technologies by establishing strong targets and policies that drive investment. Australia needs a strong 2035 target – a floor of 75 by 35 –to stay in the race.

URGENT CLIMATE ACTION

The latest IPCC report underscores the urgent need for action. Human induced climate change is causing dangerous disruptions worldwide, affecting billions of lives. The report warns that without substantial reductions, global warming could start tipping over 1.5 degrees by as early as 2027. To mitigate these risks, rapid and deep cuts in greenhouse gas emission are crucial.

THE GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE

Governments around the world are responding to the climate crisis by setting ambitious targets like the UK’s 78% reduction by 2035, incentives to accelerate transition through the US’s Inflation Reduction Act, Germany’s Net Zero target by 2045 (80% by 2040) and

Steps towards Zali Stegg A SUSTAINABLE

enhancing the competitiveness of Europe’s Net Zero industry through the EU’s Green Deal.

To meet the Paris Agreement goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees and emerge as a leader in climate action, Australia needs to match our International peers and accelerate emissions reduction.

75% EMISSIONS REDUCTION BY 2035

To turn our performance around and set Australia up as a renewable superpower, we need a strong, achievable target. This is why I am calling for a commitment to a 75% emissions reduction target by 2035.

In late May, my ‘75 by 35’ campaign was officially launched, aiming to mobilise public pressure on the Australian Government to take on this more ambitious target. Australia’s current commitment to 43% by 2030 is not sufficient to meet the Paris objectives.

This is not an unrealistic target. Tasmania is committed to Net Zero by 2030, Victoria 75-80% by 2035 and NSW is also committed to 70% by 2035. With the states and the business sector leading the way, the Federal Government must join their efforts and commit to a more ambitious target for the entire country.

We already have the solutions to fix this, but we need the political will and investment to do it now, and to accelerate this change.

Collaboration among all levels of government will enable Australia to work collectively toward a common target and ambition. A strong commitment to 75% by 2035 with clear sector roadmaps and targets has the power to supercharge our economy as it will give business and the International investment community the confidence to invest in Australia.

ACTIONS NEEDED

While there is much to do at the national level, as individuals we can also make significant contributions to emissions reduction. Installing rooftop solar, switching to renewable energy providers and replacing gas stoves with induction cooktops are some actions that can be taken. Moreover, transitioning to electric heaters and hot water systems can save over $1,800 per year.

In workplaces, choosing LED lightbulbs, implementing energy efficient heating, ventilation, green superfunds as default employee superannuation funds and opting for sustainable suppliers can all make a substantial impact.

Let us work together to create a sustainable future for Australia and the planet.

To learn more about how this can be achieved, download some simple steps and visit climateactnow.com.au. •
