Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or Diwali, this time of year always feels a little brighter, especially if you've got a loving pet, by your side. They say that behind every great human is a great partner. We say that behind every great human is a great pet.
Pets help us live in the moment, they offer as a bond like no other, and ground us like only nature can. Our dogs come into our lives to love us, to heal us, to challenge us, and if we're lucky, to change us. For many of us, our dogs are our passion. For some of us, our dogs are our purpose.
Last month, we had the pleasure of meeting one great dog, behind one great man: Bobby Costner, the dog of the legendary filmmaker and musician, Kevin Costner. But this issue is not about Kevin Costner, it's about his one year old, one hundred pound, English Boxhead Lab who's charm is sweeping the nation. From his big cameo on Jimmy Fallon earlier this year, to his appearances on Kevin's instagram, Bobby seems to have a voice that speaks to others, and a face that made us want to dress him up for the holidays. And, we're so glad that Kevin let us!
In this issue, we take you behind the scenes of our unforgettable beach day with Bobby, and give you a glimpse of the secret life of celebrity pets.
If you got a new pet this year, we wish you a happy new chapter. And, if you lost one this year, know that you have new angels surrounding you, and new beginnings waiting for you, somewhere on the horizon!

Move over celebrities—there’s a new breed of stars in town, and they’re furry, fabulous, and living the high life! We’re talking about celebrity pets, of course! These pampered pooches and highsociety felines aren’t just tail-wagging companions; they’ve become social media icons, fashionistas, and even influencers in their own right. And in some cases, they're inspiring their humans to join pet-related causes, and even launch their own pet-inspired brands!
In recent years, pet culture has evolved from simple companionship to a fullblown phenomenon. Celebrities have played a major role in this shift. Paris Hilton and her dogs. Taylor Swift and her cats. It's almost impossible to imagine these stars without their trusted companions.
Paris Hilton's pups have their own doggie mansion which features two stories, a balcony, air conditioning, and beautiful views of LA.
Taylor Swift is a notorious cat lady with three cats Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button, who often travel with her, and even join her on tour!
Benjamin Button; her blue-eyed ragdoll cat, got photographed on Swift's shoulders for her iconic cover shoot as Time’s Person of the Year.
Demi Moore and Pilaf, Chris Evans and Dodger, Amanda Seyfried and Finn... These are just some of Hollywood's most adorable pairings between humans and their best friend.
Demi Moore's pocket-size Chihuahua, Pilaf got lots of media attention after being photographed in her hand at NYFW, earlier this year. Since then, the adorable pup appeared on Saturday Night Live, Cannes Film Festival, and The Drew Barrymore Show. Pilaf was also featured in Vogue magazine for their digital "The Dogue Days of Summer" campaign. Pilaf who shares her life with Moore and eight other dogs, has her own Instagram page @pilaf.littlemouse.
Chris Evans adopted his dog, Dodger from a shelter in Savannah during the filming of his movie "Gifted". Today, Evans is a famous dog dad who's partnered with a dog food company called "Jinx" to promote healthy dog nutrition.
Amanda Seyfried has a soul dog by the name of Finn; an Australian Shepherd that she met on the set of her first TV show. Seyfried said that Finn was the best decision that she's ever made, and that he helped her navigate Hollywood. Today, Finn enjoys a quiet life with Seyfried and her 34 other pets, in their farm in Upstate New York. Seyfried understands the incredible bond we share with our pets and the value that they bring to our lives, which is why she's partnered with Synchrony's CareCredit insurance to help pet owners pay for pet care and get insurance reimbursements, in times of need.
Pets have long held a special place in our hearts, and in recent years, they’ve become a major source of inspiration for some of the world’s most iconic celebrity brands. These pet-inspired ventures not only celebrate our four-legged friends but also tap into a lucrative market of pet lovers who want to pamper their pets with the best of the best. Some of the most popular dog-inspired celebrity brands include Kaley Cuoco's "Oh Norman!", Katherine Heigl's "Badlands Ranch", Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's "Kismet", Snoop Dog's "Doggie Dogs" pet collection and Dolly Parton's "Doggy Parton" pet collection, just to name a few. Jennifer Aniston wrote a children's book this year, inspired by her dog Clyde, called "Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life".
Whether it’s through partnerships, collaborations, limited-edition lines, or full-scale pet brands, these stars are proving that pets are not just part of our lives— they’re part of our lifestyle!

Meet Lucas. a fifteen year old Dachshund from Zaragoza, Spain, and a famous fur Swiftie, known for his amazing dog versions of Taylor Swift's music videos. And they're so good, that Lucas already had several shoutouts from T-Swift, herself! In fact, Swift once said: "I am experiencing a feeling in my heart for this dog that is usually reserved for cats" after sharing Lucas' video on TikTok!
Lucas has been a Swiftie for the past fifteen years! He is well aware that Taylor Swift is a cat lady, but that doesn't seem to stop him, one bit. In fact, his love for Taylor seems to be growing stronger with every album that she releases. We reached out to Lucas' team to get the full story and give you an inside look of this multi- talented pup star!
When did Lucas come into your life? And, when?
Lucas came into our lives on January 2, 2010, when we were almost 12 years old. We’ve grown up together and became Swifties together. Fifteen years ago, we suddenly felt the desire to get a dog, and we started trying hard to convince our parents, especially our dad who wasn't a big dog fan. Our dad finally agreed to the idea but he made it very clear that the dog had to be small, male, and short haired. Lucas fit this description perfectly! The moment he looked into our eyes, we felt that connection; like we just knew we couldn't leave him behind.
It was later that we found out that he was a Dachshund. And, from the very first day, he won all of our hearts - even our dad's! We then made an effort to learn everything we could about the breed to give him the best care possible. And, everyday, we're still learning something new!
How did Lucas become a Swiftie and when?
Lucas was adopted into a Swiftie home, and he learned to love Taylor Swift himself. It was a few months before the release of the RED album in 2012.
I am experiencing a feeling in my heart for this dog that is usually reserved for cats.
TAYLOR SWIFT
What is Lucas’ favorite Taylor Swift song?
It’s really hard for Lucas to choose just one favorite song, so we’ll let him answer with his top song from his Spotify Wrapped this year: Guilty as Sin.
What does Lucas think of Taylor Swift’s last album?
The Tortured Poets Department is exquisite from start to finish. Every single song on the album, including The Anthology is perfect, and it has been an incredible source of inspiration for us. Lucas has enjoyed filming every video for this album, and it’s been a project that allowed us to create videos we’re extremely proud of as a team.
Lucas truly shone as an actor in all of them, but one standout example is Peter. The beauty of this song is undeniable—it’s a masterpiece. It reflects the disillusionment of being let down by someone you once loved and admired, capturing the emotional pain of unmet expectations. It was especially satisfying to bring the song’s bridge to life in a video.
Although it might seem impossible to love a song even more, every time Lucas creates a video, we find ourselves even more obsessed with it.
What inspired you to recreate Taylor Swift’s videos?
Taylor’s talent, her way of storytelling through her songs, and her ability to create. When she released folklore, the theme and the world she built around that album made it impossible not to try to put images to those lyrics.
How long does it usually take you to make one video?
The direction of the videos which is when we plan the concept, usually takes us a few minutes while we listen to the part of the Taylor Swift song and reread the lyrics.
The filming depends on the video and its length. Sometimes we have to travel to a location outside the city or search for the right spots, and that's often what prevents us from finishing a video in one day. But, in general, thanks to Lucas' talent and professionalism, it usually takes us half an hour, with costume changes and all.
The editing time varies depending on the type of video and its complexity, but it usually takes us about an hour, sometimes more.
Did Lucas ever see Taylor Swift LIVE in concert?
Fortunately, Lucas had the chance to see Taylor for the first time when he was 13 at the Gillette Stadium. It was his first time joining us on a Taylor tour, and we’re sure he loved it, even though he stayed up past his bedtime! The era he paid the most attention to was Midnights, and he even participated in the ovation after Champagne Problems with his barking.
Does Lucas know that Taylor Swift is a notorious cat lady? And, how does he feel about that?
Lucas definitely believes that Taylor would change her mind after meeting him and would want to adopt him immediately (although that's not possible because he already has a family that will never let him go.) In fact, Taylor has already mentioned that she respects Lucas, which is something she usually feels for cats. So, Lucas can be sure that even though Taylor is cat lady, he definitely has a place in her heart, and that's all that matters for him.
Lucas definitely believes that Taylor would want to adopt him immediately! [upon meeting him]
Has Lucas met Taylor, in person, yet?
Unfortunately, Lucas hasn’t met her YET, but he definitely hopes to, someday! We’re sure she’d love him, and they’d share a magical moment together.
Is there anything else you’d like us to know?
Lucas is truly the greatest gift we could have ever received, and we feel so lucky to share the joy and light he brings to the world. It’s incredible to see how many people love him almost as much as we do.
Every time we travel and meet his followers, we’re amazed by the appreciation they have for him and the happiness he spreads. We’re deeply proud of our little one and grateful for the bond we share with him. Lucas has a one-of-a-kind personality, and his presence can brighten even the darkest of days. We feel so fortunate to have him as part of our family and cherish every

Bob came into Kevin's life last Christmas!
He is 1 year old, currently weighing 100 lbs.
When Bobby was smaller, he loved to sleep in the dishwasher.
His dishwasher photo premiered on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show, this past June.
Bobby is an English Boxhead Lab.
He has a pack of 12 dogs and 2 pack leaders.
His favorite snack is carrots.

The Labrador Retriever is one of the most beloved a nd recognizable dog breeds in the world, known for its friendly demeano r, intelligence, and versatility. With its origins in the Newfoundland r egion of Canada, the Labrador has evolved from a working water dog into a top choice for families, service work, and sporting activities. Labradors ar e often described as the ultimate "all-purpose" breed, excelling in everythi ng from companionship to search-and-rescue operations. In this detailed desc ription, we’ll cover the breed’s history, and appearance, and care requireme nts, providing a comprehensive look at what makes the Labrador Retri ever such an exceptional and enduring breed.
Labradors are medium-to-large dogs with a well-bala nced and athletic build. Their appearance reflects their working origins, em phasizing strength, stamina, and a natural ability to swim. Males typic ally stand between 22.5 to 24.5 inches (57 to 62 cm) at the shoulder, while fe males are slightly smaller, ranging from 21.5 to 23.5 inches (55 to 60 cm). Adult male Labradors weigh between 65 to 80 pounds (29 to 36 kg), while females generally weigh between 55 to 70 pounds (25 to 32 kg.
Labradors have a short, dense, water-resistant doub le coat. The outer layer is thick, straight, and dense, while the undercoat is softer and provides insulation against cold water. This water-resistant coat reflects their heritage as working dogs who spent time in cold, wet conditi ons.
Labradors are known for their "otter tail"—a thick, muscular tail that is straight and tapers slightly toward the end. This t ail is one of the breed’s most distinctive features. It’s highly functional f or swimming, where it acts like a rudder to steer them through the water.
Labrador Retrievers are also known for their gentle , friendly, and outgoing temperament. They are widely considered one of the most sociable and easygoing dog breeds. These dogs are extremely affe ctionate, patient, and trustworthy, making them excellent companions for f amilies, children, and other pets. Labradors are incredibly people-oriente d, often forming close bonds with their humans. They are typically very we lcoming to strangers, which makes better as exceptional companions than g uard dogs. Their desire to please and be around people makes them highly tr ainable and eager to participate in different activities.
GROUP: Sporting
HEIGHT: 21.5 to 24.5 inches
WEIGHT: 55 - 80 lbs
COAT:Short, dense, waterresistance double coat
COLOR: white, black, yellow & chocolate
The Labrador Retriever's history traces back to the early 19th century in the Newfoundland region of Canada. Originally, Labradors were bred to help fishermen by retrieving nets, catching fish that escaped from lines, and assisting with pulling in the catch. They were prized for their natural swimming ability, strong work ethic, and excellent sense of smell. Labradors were initially called St. John's dogs, after the port city of St. John's in Newfoundland, but they were later refined and developed in England, where they were crossbred with other breeds, including the now-extinct St. John's dog, Newfoundland dogs, and other retrievers. This breeding helped shape the Labrador into the athletic, versatile dog we recognize today.
The breed's name, "Labrador," likely refers to the Labrador Sea, the body of water between Newfoundland and Labrador, which reflects the breed's aquatic roots.

A year ago, Magdalena, a five year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi from Illinois, and Rubble, a nine year old Australian Shepherd from Florida threw a lavish wedding for their family and friends. This year, the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary in style. Their anniversary outfits were hand sewn by Magdalena's mom, Celeste, including the pups' extravagant hats and flower headdresses.
"Our first wedding anniversary was planned a year in advance, but Hurricane Helene brought its challenges. The island where the celebration was supposed to be held was hit by the hardest devastation in the history of Tampa, Florida. But, despite the storm's destruction, what was apparent was the resilient spirit of the community, supporting each other." explained Celeste Bocade.
After several replannings, the couple ended up throwing a small party with a vintage French theme, and matching cakes baked by Sweet Dog Tampa.
Magdalena and Rubble met on Instagram and fell in love instantly. The rest is now history. Follow @magdalenacorgi and @rubsandnugs for more fur romance.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®) was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world.
Our organization was founded on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans and must be protected under the law. Headquartered in New York City, the ASPCA maintains a strong local presence, and with programs that extend our anti-cruelty mission across the country, we are recognized as a national animal welfare organization. We are a privately funded 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, and are proud to boast more than 2 million supporters across the country. The ASPCA’s mission is “to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.”
"Helping vulnerable animals and keeping pets in safe and loving homes requires a commitment from all of us—advocates, pet owners, shelters, leaders, and entire communities. When we work together under a common cause, we’re both saving lives and elevating our society and its laws to ensure cruelty victims and other at-risk animals receive the protection and care they deserve."
