WWETB manages and coordinates all statutory apprenticeship programmes in Waterford and Wexford. We encourage and promote focused initiatives for the development of people in employment through the SOLAS Skills to Advance Training Initiative and the Skills to Work Programmes. BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT • Stakeholder Engagement • Company Training Needs Analysis • Promotion of training programmes • Team of Six Senior Training Advisors • Employers /Employees funded professional development certified training programmes • Probe Benchmarking (fully funded business diagnostic tool) • Probe Accredited Partner • Team of Probe licensed Facilitators • Promotion of Lifelong learning • SME Management Development Programmes i.e. (Step up and Grow Project) • Development of transversal skills through Industry funded certified training. • Registration to E-college training provision • Sectoral Business Initiatives /briefings • Working in partnership with other organisations i.e., South East regional skills forum, DSP, Chamber of commerce, Local Employment offices, Institutes of Technologies etc. • NZEB Promotion (nearly zero energy buildings) • Research and Development with industry on certified programme development SKILLS FOR WORK • Provides training in literacy, numeracy, and communications to low skilled employees. • Client referrals to WWETB Adult literacy Service • Programmes suited to work patterns.
