The more points you scored in Nationals the more entries you will have in the prize draw
You do not need to be a Cossie Club member to attend. All CSFC members and guests welcome. Why not come early and take advantage of the great food on offer at the Cossie Club.
Important Note: if you intend to have a meal before the meeting it would pay to book to avoid disappointment as the restaurant is very popular and often full.

We are a family friendly West coast club based in Waiuku, just south of Auckland. With around 1000 members, trailer boats make up the majority of our fleet. Celebrating fishing of all kinds, from the humble Gurnard to the mighty Broadbill. Club waters span from Raglan north head to Kaipara south head and include the Manukau harbour and Waikato river.
They have a reputation for good quality workmanship, honesty and reliability. The onsite technicians are experts in Mercury, Etech, Evinrude & Johnson servicing and repairs as well as Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda. They can also fit new or used outboard engines and do trailer repairs, springs, winches and rollers.

This will be taking place during the school holidays again this year, from the 13th to the 27th of April. Our family day competition is timed to be on the last day of the youth nationals, the 27th of April. Any junior who enters the family day competition will also get free entry into the youth nationals.
Youth Nationals Briefing will be on the 10th April, 6pm at the Cossie Club. There will be Burnsco Edge fishing tackle giveaways for entrants at the briefing.
It’s been a busy month for competitions at Counties. We started the month with the Fish N Chicks and then the next week it was the Counties Classic. While the weather on the West Coast did not allow any game fishing at the Fish N Chicks the harbour was pretty good -although there did seem to be more than a few small snapper around gobbling up peoples bait. The weather was not perfect for the classic, but the coast was fishable for the three days of the competition and there were an amazing number of tagged marlin. Both competitions ran extremely well, so a big thank you to everybody involved in organising and running these events for Counties. A huge amount of work goes in to making events like this happen, much of it unseen, so well done to everyone.
We’re delighted to have Burnsco Marine as one of our sponsors for the family day competition, alongside FMG Insurance and Coastal Acres Escape. If you need some tackle for the family day competition, or the youth nationals, why not drop in to see Kat, Nick and the team. They will be able to sort you out with everything you need.
Newsletters, back to January 2018, are available online here. They have been uploaded in higher resolution then the old pdf versions were emailed out in, so the pictures especially should be better quality.
We’re always looking for items to include, so if you have a fishing report, some photos, or just a good story to tell please drop me an email on kevin@nzsteele.com
Our two main competitions have just been, and we would like to thank all the sponsors, without whom it would not be possible to run these events. There are obviously the main sponsors for each event, whose names you see across the back of the stage at the event, but there are dozens of smaller sponsors all doing their part to help us make the events happen and ensuring that there are great prizes to be won. So here are the people who sponsored Fish N Chicks or the Counties Classic, please support them whenever you can.
