Course Rigor
Come prepared to work during each class period. This course will be taught in a “workshop” environment. The instructional framework of thought is that of an executive work environment. Take this class if you want to be challenged and accountable, as you will be in an executive setting. You will have to process much information quickly, work on a team, have thoughtful and challenging conversations, and create quality deliverables that matter. You will have time during each class to meet with your Project Team. Please use this time wisely. This course is rigorous & FUN!!!!

The Objective of this Course
To enhance each student’s understanding and awareness of Global Marketing concepts through a series of lectures, discussions, cases, articles, and a group project.

Shared Expectations
Expectations for Faculty: Faculty will treat their obligations for classes like any serious professional engagement. That includes:
1. Being prepared for class.
2. We provide sufficient information and materials to enable students to prepare for class.
3. I am displaying appropriate courtesy to all involved in the class sessions.
4. Supplying timely information about student performance on projects, assignments, and examinations; and providing constructive feedback to students concerning their performance.
5. Having FUN challenging yourself as well as engaging students to think critically about the concepts of the course!!!
Expectations for Students: Students will treat their classroom obligations like a professional engagement. That includes:
1. Preparing for class discussions.
2. Arriving on time and actively engaging in course activities.
3. Treating others as you would want to be treated. Challenge the concept, not the person.
4. Silencing cell phones.
5. Having FUN learning about Global Marketing.
Academic Honesty
All student work should be original. Any academic dishonesty will be reported to the Dean’s Office and may result in probation, suspension, or dismissal.

Assignments and Exams
Cases, Articles, & Participation – 100 Points
Country Culture Presentation – 40 Points
Glocal Digital Launch Plan – 100 Points
Total Points: 240 Points
(If Requested) Extra Credit: +10 Points if you submit a 2–3-minute video presentation of your Digital Launch Plan in addition to your written PowerPoint.
Cases, Articles, & Participation – 100 Points
You must complete a 2–3-page Case Write-Up in preparation for each case discussion. Your participation in class discussions is expected and required. Please come prepared to share your thoughts during each class period. You will be called on to share your thoughts.
Country Culture Presentation – 40 Points
Presentation request: TAKE US TO YOUR COUNTRY. Get local! Help your classmates experience the culture of your country and understand how similar products are being marketed and utilized.
Glocal Digital Launch Plan – 100 Points
Your written digital launch plan should include a ONE-PAGE EXECUTIVE SUMMARY addressed to the company's owner and a PowerPoint presentation detailing the launch plan. See more detail in the assignment description.
Schedule Changes: The instructor reserves the right to modify any material in the syllabus and method of class instruction (Classroom/Webinar) with notice given to course participants. Each student must obtain all handouts, announcements, and schedule changes.
