Elmer, the much-loved storybook character created by Devon-born author and artist David McKee, will be a colourful addition to the streets of Plymouth in 2019. Forty unique elephant sculptures will form a trail in locations across the city - all designed to highlight the work of St Luke’s Hospice. Elmer’s Big Parade was formally launched on March 21 when a special Emer designed by popular local artist Brian Pollard took pride of place. • Full story on page 6
