HIGH SCHOOL

Choir Camp

Come have a great musical experience and bond with current CJA choir members! Students will spend the week honing their musical talents and working on a final performance for the last day of camp.

Freshman English Sampler

CLASS OF ‘29

June 2-6 AND June 9-13

9 -11 a.m. OR 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

(this class is a 2-week commitment offered at both times)

The purpose of this workshop is to offer incoming freshmen an introduction to English classes at Cor Jesu. Activities include acquiring reading strategies for successfully approaching various types of literature, gathering some useful grammar tips and practicing the kinds of composition and creative writing you will see as a freshman. During this class, we will also discuss the required freshman summer reading selection. Enjoy getting to know your classmates while learning and reviewing some valuable reading and writing skills.

Freshman Math Sampler

CLASS OF ‘29

June 2-6 AND June 9-13 9 - 11 a.m. OR 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

If fractions frighten you, if percents perplex you, this class is for you! This course will help you master concepts necessary for success in Algebra I. Some topics include computations with fractions, decimals, percents, applications of formulas, ratio and proportion, operations with signed numbers, one-step equations, word problems and an introduc tion to the coordinate plane. This class is designed to help you improve your pre-algebra skills with emphasis given to the skills needed for the freshman summer math packet.

Robotics

Special Note: Members of the Class of 2029 will not be able to sign up for high school summer camps until they are officially enrolled at Cor Jesu Academy and attend Freshman Registration Night.

Are you ready to unleash your creativity and build the future through robotics? Students will learn the basics of robotics from Cor Jesu Academy’s FIRST Robotics Competition Team with XRP Robots. Students will learn skills like the engineering design process, coding, critical thinking, teamwork, and marketing. No experience is needed! On the last day, students will show off their robots and new skills in a competition.

Basketball

Are you looking to hone your competitive basketball skills? This camp with coaches Andrew Althage and Mallory Ronshausen will develop skills needed to prepare you for the upcoming high school season.

Freshman Cross Country

6-8 p.m. at Cor Jesu (Monday);

6-7:30 p.m. at various parks (Tues-Fri)

Enjoy a great introduction to the sport of running for those interested in cross country or for anyone looking to improve their aerobic conditioning over the summer. In case of extreme heat, the start time will be 7 p.m.

Freshman Field Hockey

5:30-7 p.m. on CJA’s Back Field

If you are interested in playing field hockey in the fall or just want to meet some of your future classmates, this camp is for you. No experience in field hockey is necessary. The team, which has appeared in 16 Final Fours in

20 years, will give you a taste of what the CJA field hockey program is all about.

1-2:30 p.m. at Tower Tee (Monday meet in CJA’s Student Commons) You will learn the skills that have made CJA’s golf team successful. Grip, stance, swing and club selection are included in this instructional camp. The rules of the game and golf etiquette will be taught through fun drills and contests. You will need to bring at least one iron and one putter.

Learn the ins and outs of this popular sport from one of the top programs in the St. Louis area. Coach Andrew Shipp and his staff will introduce the skills of throwing, catching, scooping and protecting the ball. For those looking to try something new, this lacrosse camp is for you! Please bring a mouth guard.

Coach Rachel Brcic will introduce the incoming freshmen to the rich tradition of Cor Jesu soccer, while also preparing the program for an exciting 2026 season. Shooting, passing, game tactics and team play will be emphasized through drills and small-sided games.

Stronger U Summer Training

CLASS OF ‘29 • ‘28 • ‘27 • ‘26 5 weeks starting June 10

Mon-Thurs | 7-8:30 p.m. at CJA’s Gym

This program is for any girl, middle school-aged or enrolled at Cor Jesu, who wants to build a “Stronger U.” All daily activities will encourage building endurance, strength, balance and flexibility to help shape more well-rounded athletes. This camp will look at three categories: strength, speed and agility. Emphasis will be placed on proper technique in all movements, geared toward developing stronger athletes through core lifts, auxiliary lifts, mobility training exercises and dynamic movements.

Tennis

4-6 p.m. at Dwight Davis Tennis Center

This camp will introduce the skills of this lifetime sport to beginners, as well as fine tune the skills of the competitive players who are interested in playing in high school. Grips, forearm and backhand strokes, lob shots, and serving will be taught through personal instruction, drills, and fun, competitive games. **Please bring racquet, water and towel.

Registrations received after May 15,2025, will be charged a $25 per camp late fee. When registering online, ALL campers will be asked to complete a media release and a medical and emergency release form. Each enrichment camp will have a minimum of six students, maximum of 25, unless otherwise noted. Early registration is recommended, as class sizes are limited. Parents will receive a confirmation letter or e-mail after May 15, 2025. In the event that a class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, parents will be notified.
