Welcome, everyone, to Concordia’s 2025 Homecoming!
We’ve been looking forward with excitement to this weekend, and we’re so glad you’re here. Congratulations to our reunion classes, and thank you for your devotion to this amazing place.
Now in my third Homecoming as president (still not a big enough number to claim I know what I’m doing at these rodeos), Kelly and I are deeply grateful to be part of the Concordia community. Over the past couple of years, we’ve had the chance to meet so many of you and hear how your time here shaped your life, your work, and your sense of purpose. That, of course, is what this place is all about — helping students find meaning and direction so they can live out Concordia’s mission to influence the affairs of the world with thoughtfulness, faith, and love of neighbor.
Homecoming is a chance to see that mission in action — alumni reconnecting, faculty and staff welcoming you back, students full of energy and promise, and all of us gathering as one Cobber community. Whether you’re attending the football game, taking in a concert, or simply walking around this beautiful campus, I hope you take time to soak it all in.
Cobbers like you make this place what it is. Thank you for being here and for carrying Concordia’s mission with you into the world. I hope this Homecoming is full of joy, renewal, and new memories.
Soli Deo Gloria,
President Colin C. Irvine
Welcome from Homecoming Chair
Hello Cobbers! The Homecoming Committee and I are delighted to welcome you all back to campus for this year’s Homecoming festivities.
Homecoming is one of the most exciting times to be on campus. It’s a time when Cobbers from all over can come together and celebrate their Cobber pride during longstanding traditions and events such as the parade, football game, the alumni breakfast, and more!
This year’s Homecoming theme is “There’s No Place Like Homecoming” to illustrate that no matter where life might take you, there’s a path that leads back home to Concordia!
Soli Deo Gloria,
Eden Weinhandl ’27 2025 Homecoming Chair

Beginning in 2022, the Rourke began working with painter, art restorer, and Concordia alumnus Mark Larson to restore the piece. Members of the Concordia College Art Department worked with the Rourke during the summer of 2025 to bring this important piece of college history back to campus for display.
