James Raymond Hays, born October 5, 1930 in Keota, Oklahoma, passed away on May 20, 2012 at Odyssey Hospice. James was a resident of Winkelman for 40 years and worked as an electrician for Kennecott and Asarco for 29 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fannie Maude Hays and Noah Baxter Hays; and brothers, Thomas and Bobby.
Surviving him are his wife, Joyce Hays; children, Jimmy, Ron, Debbie, Patsy, Gary, Janice, Roy and Cheryl; sister, Lucy Bradford; 16 grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren with one more on the way. There will be a memorial at Best Mortuary, 9380 West Peoria, Phoenix, on Friday, May 25, from 9-11 a.m. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at the National
Veterans’ Cemetery, 101 Freeway in Cave Creek.

Letter to the Editor: Costs shifted to Sheriff without funding by Supervisors Editor: It’s a clear political attack for the board of supervisors (Peter Rios and David Snider) to say the Sheriff’s budget is not balanced, when they sign a contract with the unions after my budget is fixed and then don’t provide me with the $547,100 they agreed to. Where does that money come from when we are budgeted for gas for our vehicles at $1.78 per gallon, yet the price of fuel has doubled? In past years, the unpredictable rise in fuel costs were covered, but now the
supervisor want to take full political advantage in this election year. Instead of funding the increased fuel charges like they have in past budget years to ensure our deputies continue to respond to emergencies and detention officers transport prisoners, their high paid county manager ($179,000 salary) says “pay for it out of your budget.” They want me to leave critical deputy and detention officer positions unfilled, which compromises our public safety. The county also changed
budget procedures this year for all departments, where budget costs and funding was transferred for employee related expenses (ERE’s) such as FICA, retirement contributions, over time and workers compensation. The estimates by the Supervisors and their staff were significantly off and millions in funding were shorted to the Sheriff’s Office. The county later agreed to pay for some shortages in retirement contributions, employee related expenses and over $850,000 for workers
compensation. The county signed a legal contract (two sheriffs prior to me) with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (ICE) for nearly 500 beds in our Jail and they have yet to hire the 51 additional detention officers that are required by this contract. The Sheriff’s Office is still required to staff our Jail according to the specifications of this contract, as well as transport detainees to medical appointments and court hearings. Accident claims the life of young driver A single vehicle rollover early Saturday morning has claimed the life of a 16-year-old driver. On May 19, just before 1 a.m., deputies were called to Freeman Road, approximately 1.5 miles from Camino Rio near San Pedro and Highway 77 in Dudleyville. According to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, a 16-year-old female
passenger called 911 after the vehicle she was riding in lost control and rolled. A second female passenger was pinned under the vehicle after the rollover. When deputies arrived, the 16-year-old female driver was unresponsive. The driver, identified as Adriana Cruz, a sophomore at Hayden High School, was transported to Northwest Hospital in Oro Valley
where she was pronounced deceased at 1:05 a.m. The two other passengers were transported to area hospitals where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries. According to PCSO Public Information Officer Elias Johnson, the exact cause of the crash is unknown, but speed is likely a contributing factor in the accident. The accident is
still under investigation. This week a large number of teens are expected to be on the road as four high schools in Eastern Pinal County and Southern Gila County are set for graduation. “My heart goes out to the family of Adriana Cruz,” said Sheriff Paul Babeu. “To see such a life cut short is devastating for everyone involved.”
He added, “I would like to remind our teens to take extra care when out with friends and family during the graduation week. Attend your sober graduation night festivities to ensure this happy celebration is the beginning of much success in life and doesn’t end in tragedy.” In honor of Adriana Cruz, the Sophomore Class of Hayden High School has
established a memorial account, the Adriana Cruz Memorial Fund, at Bank of the West, for anyone wishing to help her family. A memorial t-shirt sale will also take place. Safe Journey House seeking volunteers By John Hernandez The Safe Journey House is an advocacy and intervention center for victims of abuse. The center, located in San Manuel, has been open for eight months and has served and interacted with 57 women, children and men. Advocates have connected clients with social and legal services and helped them to regain self esteem and freedom from
abuse. In addition to advocating for and helping victims, Safe Journey House educates the community about domestic violence. Their work is badly needed in the Tri-Community and surrounding areas in Eastern Pinal County. It takes many good people to provide help and services to victims of domestic violence. Unfortunately the Safe Journey House
needs help! Volunteer assistants are badly needed. The system set up by the Safe Journey House relies on trained advocates speaking with clients and helping them find solutions to change their abusive environment or break away from it. Even though the operations center in San Manuel has provided a safe and secure environment, the center has
an absolute rule that no advocate will be in the center alone. Advocates are currently providing five days of coverage Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. however, they often have difficulty scheduling assistants and providing support for the advocates. I would like to welcome Apache Junction resident Clark Smithson to the Board of Supervisors as the new representative from District two. Mr. Smithson replaces Bryan Martyn who resigned to accept the State Parks Director position. I wish my friend and colleague Director Martyn all the luck in the world at his new job. Even though we are members of different parties, I valued his point of view when it came to issues facing the county. I also value his friendship. Bryan Martyn entered the Board of Supervisors a political novice, but exited as a veteran policy-maker. Supervisor Clarkson was chosen from a field of 12 applicants for the job. There were some very good candidates who stepped up to apply for this seven month term on the board. The new District two Supervisor brings a wealth of experience to the
position having been a city manager in three California communities, as well as serving as a member of the Apache Junction City Council. I look forward to working with him for the remainder of this term. For those residents living on the eastern side of Pinal County, you may see a lot more semi-truck traffic in the coming months. We understand from BHPBilliton that they will be trucking concentrate from the Pinto Valley facility to the former SMARRCO storage facility. From there the concentrate will be shipped by rail to a port in Guaymas, Mexico for export. While this may be an inconvenience for some drivers, I am confident that this will help to keep the copper industry busy by keeping jobs here and exporting our goods abroad. Letter to the Editor: Fiscal year coming to a close, Rios reports Residents of District One: It seems that things seem to slow down during the summer months, but here in Pinal County the summer means we are heading into a busy time of the year. Our 2011-2012 fiscal year comes to end in the beginning of July. We are in the process of developing a new budget for 2012-2013. I can tell you now the county will not raise the tax rate for this fiscal year. As a matter of fact we may reduce it by 10 or 20 cents per hundred dollar assessed valuation. I can also tell you the budget looks to be a little lower than last years budget of $357 million. We are continually looking for ways to save money, and yet be able to provide the services that our residents need. In this economy, it has been quite a balancing act. I hope to provide county employees a one time, one percent pay increase for next fiscal year. An issue that has worked in our favor this year has been that the Arizona Legislature has not asked the counties to help balance their budget. Last year Pinal County, along with four other counties, was asked to cut a check for $2.6 million to help the state. Another issue that was hanging over our heads for the past few years was a plan by the legislature to transfer inmates from the state penal system, with one year left on their sentence, to county jails. This plan would have cost the counties millions to pick up these prisoners. Not only that but placing convicted felons in jail with inmates who are convicted of lesser offenses would have been problematic. I am glad that this plan was repealed by this years legislature.

Items for this report are submitted by the Hayden Police Department and reflect information available at the time of the report. May 14 Alex Paul Valdez was arrested on a warrant out Hayden Magistrate Court and was also cited for aggravated domestic violence. He was transported to Globe and booked into the Gila County Jail. Report of an eviction dispute was taken on the 400 block of Velasco. A black pit bull puppy was found and returned to the owner. Agency assist with
Kearny Police Department. Extra patrol was requested in the area of 700 block of N. San Pedro. May 15 A person was reported ill at a residence on 2nd St. in Winkelman. It was determined that an elderly male had had surgery earlier in the day and was still bleeding. Kearny Ambulance responded and transported him to Oro Valley. May 16 Report of a possible intruder on the 200 block of Mt. View. There was no forced entry and no obvious clues were found. A collision on Highway 77 was reported. On response it was found to be a single vehicle accident with one occupant. The scene was secured and then turned over to D.P.S. Criminal damage was reported on the 600 block in Hayden. A window glass on the backdoor had been broken out. Victim stated that at the time it did not appear that anything was missing from the residence. May 17 It was reported that a female at the Hayden
Senior Center had fainted. She was transported to the helipad at ASARCO and airlifted to Northwest Medical Center in Oro Valley. A report of domestic violence was taken on the 500 block of 5th. Suspect was gone on arrival of officers. May 18 A report was investigated of people entering abandoned buildings on Hayden St. A previous victim of criminal damage reported the theft of rifle from the residential location. The initial report was changed from criminal damage to burglary. Victim of domestic violence assault came to police station to drop charges. A possible past burglary, occurring approximately May 9 was reported at a residence in the 100 block of 1st St. in Hayden. Several items were found missing. A written warning for speed was issued. Brian Morrison was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs
and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to Globe and booked into Gila County Jail. May 19 Report of a citizen following a white pick-up truck into Hayden from Kearny and was concerned that the driver was possibly impaired. Report of a white truck in the wash east of Lower Road. The truck was located with the windows down and the keys still in the ignition. Paul E. Marler, was arrested on a warrant out of Hayden Magistrate Court for driving on a suspended license and failure to show insurance. He was transported to Globe and booked into Gila County Jail. May 20 While on patrol in Winkelman an officer could hear metal being pounded near Mile Post 135.5 on Highway 177. Upon contact, two subjects were scrapping an old school bus. After investigation it was found that the subjects had permission. A report was received of

By Officer Hatch It’s that time of year for summer vacations as school is let out for summer break. Congratulations to graduates of Ray High School and Hayden High School class of 2012! The Town of Kearny Police Department would like to remind its citizens that even though school may not be in session for the next few months, curfew times for any person under the age of 18 are still in effect. No person under the age of 18 shall be upon any street, alley or public place in the town between the
hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless accompanied by a parent, guardian, adult relative or an adult friend approved by a parent or guardian. On Fridays and Saturdays, the time is extended to 11:30 p.m. for persons aged 15, 16 and 17. No parent or guardian shall permit a person under the age of 18 to be upon any street, alley or public place in the town between those hours. A person under the age of 18 may attend employment or urgent business during those hours so long as that person does not loiter, linger or ride aimlessly about the town and the urgent business is transacted as speedily as possible. Compiled by Mila Lira Copper prices reflected a 20 cent drop per pound at end of trading on Monday May 21, 2012 Copper was being sold at $3.50 a pound. In a mining report two weeks ago Copper it was reported that the mineral was being sold at $3.70 a pound Excelsior Continues to Advance Towards PreFeasibility Study at Gunnison Excelsior Mining Corp. provided an update on its on-going 2012 drilling program at the Gunnison Copper Project, located in southern Arizona. The program is designed to acquire geological, metallurgical and hydrological data with the aim of completing a Pre-Feasibility Study on Gunnison by the end of 2012. “We’re pleased with the progress of our 2012 program,” stated Stephen Twyerould, President and CEO of Excelsior. “The program has been designed to advance the project in a number of areas and the timely acquisition of this data will enable us to achieve our goal of completing the Gunnison
Pre-Feasibility Study by year’s end.” 2012 Work Program Details Metallurgy The metallurgical component of three holes, totaling 3,178 feet (968.7 meters) has been completed with samples sent to Metcon Research of Tucson, AZ for analysis. This analysis will involve running in-situ recovery simulation tests, conducted to support previous results indicating favorable metallurgical conditions. Resource Defintion and Upgrade The geological component of the program, designed to upgrade and expand the existing mineral resource, is approximately 50% complete with the first set of assay results expected by June. Approximately 19 holes, totaling 24,000 feet (7,316 meters) are planned for this phase of the program with a new resource estimate anticipated for later in the year. Hydrology Drilling has begun on the hydrological test holes, which constitute the third and final component of this year’s drilling. Up
to 10 hydrological test wells are planned with the goal of producing an initial hydrological model. Monitoring and observation wells will also be added later this year. Data collected from these wells will be required for the permitting process as the project continues to advance. The Pre-Feasibility Study is scheduled for completion in December. This key study will provide wellfield design parameters, annual copper production rates and a new financial model. Redhawk Reports 175% Increase in Resources at Copper Creek to 7.75 Billion Pounds Copper and 150 Million Pounds Molybdenum Redhawk Resources, Inc. has received the preliminary results of an updated independent NI 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate for its Copper Creek property, located in Pinal County, Arizona. The new estimate at a 0.2% CuEq cutoff has increased the total pounds of copper to 4.45 billion pounds in the combined measured and indicated categories contained in 502 million tons grading 0.49 CuEq and 3.30 billion pounds in the inferred category, contained in 481 million tons grading 0.38% CuEq. This represents an increase of more than 175% from the September 2008 independent NI 43101 resource estimates. A NI 43-101 technical report will be completed within 45 days and filed with SEDAR. Ray graduate named Chief Nursing Officer at CVRMC RoseAnn Garcia, RN, BAS, M. ADM., accepted the position of Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center (CVRMC) and began her duties on May 7, 2012. Garcia served as the Corporate Compliance Officer and Director of Case Management, Utilization Review and Social Services while employed by CVRMC since June of 2007. “RoseAnn has demonstrated the knowledge, leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and insure excellent patient care,” states Neal Jensen CEO. “Her ability to work with physicians and medical professionals will help CVRMC reach its poten-
tial as being the provider of choice in our service region.” A 1980 graduate of Ray High School, Garcia graduated with Distinction with a Master’s of Administration from Northern Arizona University in 2010. In July of 2008, she participated in, and conducted, the first research project focused on health behaviors related to water and sanitation among the Maasai tribe of Kuku Group Ranch in Kenya, Africa. The results of this project were presented to the Kenya Ministry of Health for review and implementation. Other valuable experiences include 10 years at Tucson Medical Center
where she held positions as an ER nurse, Emergency Department Manager, and Director of Patient Care Services. Through her affiliation with TMC, she participated in a nursing leadership exchange program with faculty from the Universidad Autonoma to review and compare quality programs in rural clinics as well as large urban government-run hospitals in Mexico City and Toluca, Mexico. In 2006, Ms. Garcia was an instructor for nursing and paramedic students using internationally recognized standards related to emergency triage guidelines and processes in mass casualty and catastrophic incidents at Cruz Roja
Mexicana in Guadalajara, Mexico. “I am grateful for the opportunity to become a member of a team that is focused on improving the patient experience through an integrated and collaborative approach. Letter to the Editor: Dress stirs memories from long-ago time
Editor, Copper Basin News: On Thursday afternoon, May 10, Marta and I were going through and sorting out Kathi’s sewing machines, sewing fabrics, clothing patterns, knitting yarn, and other various women’s crafts that she had been very passionate about. On opening one file drawer in the storage shed on the back porch, and
removing filed clothing patterns, I found a white dress. When I unfolded it, I realized that it was Kathi’s wedding dress that she had made with a new sewing machine that I had purchased for her before we got married. I had intense conflicting emotions of both sadness and joy. I had not seen the dress for nearly 45 years – had no idea that it even existed. Amazingly, it was

exactly a month until it would have been our 45th anniversary. The dress had delicate, long, laced sleeves; the neckline was very conservative and modest. The dress also included a
train that she had sewed, too. I soon had the dress on a hangar and displayed in the hallway. It reminds me of the wonderful marriage that we had. I had been moved to give Kathi’s sewing, knitting
and craft supplies to a stranger who Marta and I had met that morning in the Hand Me Up Shop. She had in her hand Mother’s pretty, colorful porcelain tea kettle that prompted our conversation.
Her home had burned down the previous January. I was finally learning the life lesson that God wanted me to conquer: give and it will be given to you. Oh, such joy! /s/ Roger Stern
Sea Lions Swim Team hosts first golf tourney The Sea Lions Swim Team will be hosting a benefit golf tournament on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the SaddleBrooke Ranch Golf Club (62493 E. Robson Circle, Oracle, AZ 85623 (520) 818-6403). The cost is $50 per person and includes green fees and cart. The format is fourperson scramble with check-in at 7 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Prizes will be awarded
to the first, second and third place teams and raffles will be held for additional prizes. Mulligans will be sold. This is a great chance to play 18 holes of golf at the beautiful SaddleBrooke West Golf Club and help the Sea Lions fund competitive swimming instruction for youth in our community. This Swim Team is made possible by the hard work
of dedicated volunteers and is funded solely through registration fees and donations. The Sea Lions started in 2004 with eight swimmers and are now a dominant force in the Central Arizona Swimming League, winning the League Championship the past five years. The Team now has more than 90 children every summer. Many are
new swimmers with little to no experience who get the chance to learn proper swimming fundamentals and gain skills that will stay with them the rest of their lives. Both Copper Basin area high schools will be holding graduation ceremonies this Friday, May 25. Hayden High School seniors will enter Lalo Serrano Memorial Field to the strains of “Pomp and Circumstance.” The Pledge of Allegiance will be led by Lupita Calzadillas and the Class Prayer will be offered by Yvannah Gonzales and
diplomas will be given. Ray High School will enter Dave McFee Memorial Field to “Pomp and Circumstance” played by the Bearcat Band under the direction of Phelan Bauman. The National Anthem will be sung by the Senior Choir members and the Pledge of Allegiance will be led by Jennifer Sims. The Invocation will be given by Leticia Arguello
Mary Lechuga. The Welcome Address will be by Demitria Boltarez and the Class History will be given by Yuszmi Casado and Chantel Arbizo. Class Quotes will be recided by Danielle Rios, Austin Timbush and Stephanie Chiquete followed by the Class Poem by Lupita Calzadillas, Cassie Smith and Demetria Boltarez.
Presenting the Class Song will be Thomas Cabrera, Gabriel Encinas and Derrick Benavidez. A Special Thank-you will be given by Cassie Smith. Scholarship presentations fill be next on the program followed by the Salutatory Address by Yvannah Gonzales and the Valedictory Address by Chantel Arbizo. The Class of 2012 will then be presented and

the Salutatorian address by Samantha Martinez. Dr. Robert W. Dunn, Superintendent, will then present the Class of 2012 and diplomas will be presented by members of the School Board. Hayden High By Nolberto Waddell The Hayden High School athletes had the last event of the school year on Thursday, May 17th when they were honored with a potluck banquet and awards ceremony. After the Pledge of Allegiance led by Thomas Cabrera and a welcome address by Melissa Islava, the athletes, coaches, and family of the athletes settled down for a meal before the awards ceremony began. The awards ceremony started with spirit line coach Maria Gonzales taking the podium and introducing the young girls that made up the spirit line team. Theses girls work just as hard as the athletes that take the field or court for the Lobos and they also have to keep up their grades if they wish to be on the sidelines cheering on the athletic teams. After introducing all of the spirit line participants, Maria Gonzales named Chantel Arbizo as the outstanding
member of the spirit line and awarded her with the trophy for her hard work and dedication. Lobo football coach Matthew Waddell was up next and after giving a brief synopses of the Lobos first season playing eight-man football, he asked the audience to pay attention to the number of athletes who were underclassmen the past season and that only three members of last year’s team that barely missed the play-offs will graduate. The three seniors will be missed especially the play of quarterback and linebacker Thomas Cabrera who will represent the Lobo program in a couple of all-star games this summer. After mentioning his outstanding stats that Cabrera produced during the season, Coach Waddell and his assistants awarded Thomas with the trophy as the outstanding Lobo football player. School hosts annual Lobo Athletic Banquet Gallego was next on the podium introducing the Lady Lobo volleyball team that had a good season but failed to make the state play-offs. The Lady Lobo volleyball team will miss the play of the four graduating seniors that had a lot to do with the success of the volleyball team and their play will be hard to replace but the cupboards will not be empty next year as several members of the team will return. After all the introductions were made Coach Gallego mentioned the dedication of the one senior who stood out the entire season and awarded her with the outstanding Lobo volleyball trophy. The senior was Demitria Boltarez. Coach Gallego remained at the podium this time as the head coach of the Lady
Lobo basketball program. With the majority of the ladies that played volleyball for Coach Gallego called back and introduced as members of the basketball team, Gallego again gave a brief overview of the season and the play of the Lady Lobos stating that again the Lady Lobos fell short of the power points needed for the state basketball tournament despite a winning season turned in by the Lady Lobos. Again because of her dedication, leadership and hard work on the court, Gallego named Demitria Boltarez as the outstanding Lady Lobo basketball player with the presentation of the outstanding basketball player trophy. Boy’s head basketball coach Enrique Padilla was up next and he also gave
a brief overview of the season explaining that the season did not progress as well as he wanted but that the boys gave it all they had every game despite losing some close basketball games in the last quarter of play. He mentioned that he will lose only three seniors with Matt Manriquez the only starter not coming back but said that the exciting play of the Lobos under the boards will be back. He praised the play of all the Lobo players and especially mentioned the play of Adrian Ochoa who despite his handicap played his heart out and defended the opposition’s best player usually keeping him under control and was quite a terror on the boards and for his play awarded Ochoa with the outstanding Lobo

basketball player trophy. The Lobo baseball program was up next with Head Coach Salvador Gallego introducing his assistants, Esteban Gallego and Matt Waddell. Coach Gallego gave the overview of the season mentioning that the Lobo baseball team had an outstanding season earning a spot in the state play-off tournament winning two games in the tournament before getting eliminated in the third round of the tournament by the number one ranked team in the tournament. Again, the Lobo baseball team was young with only three senior members but the three seniors will be hard to replace as all three were starters. Coach Gallego mentioned that the coaching staff had a hard time choosing the outstanding player with all
the players coming threw for the staff at one time or another but decided to award the outstanding trophy to the player that carried them deep into the state tournament with his leadership, hard work, dedication and his pitching. The trophy as the outstanding Lobo baseball player was awarded to Matthew Manriquez. Coach Gene Westrope was the last coach up representing the Lady Lobo softball program. Coach Westrope mentioned that the team could have easily given up when the Lady Lobos lost two starters with injuries and had several players playing with bothersome aches and pains. With the two starters out and several players having to play different positions because of injuries, the Lobo softball team did not give
up producing a winning season and a trip to the softball state tournament. After winning the first game of the tournament over their rivals in an exciting contest, the Lady Lobos lost their next game to get eliminated from the tournament. The Lady Lobo softball team said good-bye to the four senior players that will be hard to replace next year. Coach Westrope awarded the outstanding Lobo softball player trophy to Demitria Boltarez for her work in the pitching circle and for her dedication and hard work in not letting the softball get down on themselves with all the injuries. We have now commenced our Pre-Feasibility Study and will continue with efforts to expand our resource and move Copper Creek closer to a production decision.” Curis finalizes $40 million loan facility and copper off-take agreement with Red Kite Curis Resources announced that it has executed definitive legal agreements with RK Mine Finance Trust I (“Red Kite”) for a senior secured bridge loan facility and copper cathode sale and off-take agreement. Under the terms of the bridge loan agreement, Red Kite will provide a $40 million loan with interest payable at LIBOR plus eight percent maturing two years from the date of closing. The loan is repayable without penalty or premium at any time

Interest on the loan is payable at maturity and certain fees will be payable from the net proceeds of the loan. The parties had previously contemplated that Red Kite would have the right to convert the outstanding amount of the loan into common shares of Curis at the time prior to maturity under specified terms, but that conversion right has been removed from the final definitive terms agreed between the parties. Under the terms of the signed off-take agreement, Curis will sell to Red Kite, on a take-or-pay basis, 25 percent, or if the Extension Option is exercised, 30 percent of the Florence Copper project’s copper cathode production for the life of the project. The off-take agreement has been structured such that copper cathode produced at Florence is to be purchased by Red Kite at a price consistent with London Metal Exchange (LME) market price quotations, subject to certain discounts. “The finalization of this agreement with Red Kite is a key milestone toward delivering on the development of this world class next generation copper project with no dilution to shareholders” commented Curis President Michael McPhie. “The agreement allows us to focus on the company’s key near-term objectives
of completing project permitting, engineering and the start of construction of the Phase 1 Production Test facility.” “A significant percentage of the $40million will be invested locally in Arizona and will provide the opportunity for new jobs and supplier contracts, and will further reinforce Florence Copper’s positive impact on the local economy.” Oracle Mining Intercepts 87.5 Feet of 2.3% Copper and 17.5 Feet of 5.8% Copper Oracle Mining Corp. announced assay results of a new mineralized zone from its ongoing drilling program at the Oracle Ridge Copper Mine, located in southern Arizona. Drill hole ODH-24 encountered an interval of 17.5 feet of 5.81% copper and ODH-27 encountered an interval of 26.0 feet of 3.27% copper. In addition, the Corporation believes ODH-26, with an interval of 87.5 feet of 2.32% copper, is important as it indicates a large-scale irregularity in the intrusive/ carbonate contact. Abrupt changes in the orientation of the intrusive/carbonate contact have been seen in other areas that host major skarn bed mineralization. The new target area was indicated based on mineralization that is exposed in the ramp connecting the 5900 and 6400 haulage ways. As there is no historic drilling recorded in this area, these intersections represent a new mineralized zone that is not included in the historic resource base. The following tabulates the
intervals obtained from this phase of the drilling program: The intervals were calculated using an external 1.0% copper cut-off and may include internal waste to reflect a potential mineable width. True widths of drilling done to date will need to be modeled but are estimated to be 70% to 100% of the stated interval length. Intervals labelled “includes” are higher-grade portions of the previous listed interval. The results encountered in Holes ODH-24, ODH-26 and ODH-27 continue to reinforce the Corporation’s belief that the undrilled portions of the property have significant potential to host additional +1.0% copper mineralization. These holes were drilled as part of the Corporation’s ongoing historic data base confirmation program. The successful completion of the validation drilling program will allow the Corporation to undertake a National Instrument 43101 compliant resource estimation. A total of 32 holes have been assayed and disclosed since Oracle Mining began its current drill program in early 2011. The assay results to date are consistent with historic data. The Corporation is analyzing the samples for a full suite of elements and have identified silver and gold as likely by-products that could provide additional project economic value. Oracle Mining operates a rigorous QA/QC protocol on all aspects of sampling and analytical procedure. Drill core is

We have generated a near record $12.8 million in revenue from contract Jail beds to the feds. No good deed goes unpunished by my political enemies, who have promised to raid these funds to pay for their union contract, ERE’s and increased fuel costs. I’m so proud of the men and women I lead at the Sheriff’s Office, who risk their own personal safety and lives for all of us. We run a highly disciplined operation, evidenced by faster emergency response times, obtaining national accreditation for our jail, improved training and modern equipment for our staff to perform their duties. No one can disagree with the fact that our Sheriff’s Office is providing better service than four years ago. Role: Lead Core Handler Description: Resolution Copper is seeking a Lead Core Handler. The Lead Core Handler is responsible for supervision of Core Handling crew on weekends and at other times when the Core Processing Supervisor is unavailable. Accountabilities: • Accountable to work safely at all times and to understand expectations of safety systems and procedures at Resolution Copper. The Lead Core Handler is expected to act as a leader encouraging safe behavior and work practice within the core handling team. • Responsible for the core handling team when the Core Processing Supervisor is unavailable. This responsibility includes safety expectations and overall work behavior, and may involve engaging staff to improve performance when issues are identified. • Accountable to perform core handling duties including retrieval of core from drill sites, moving core within the warehouse to help facilitate geology teams work, precisely cut core sampling, and box core for long-term storage. After boxing and sampling, core boxes will be palletized. Using forklifts these core pallets and sample crates will be stored on shelving within the department warehouse.
