MAMMOTH-HAYDEN SOFTBALL LEAGUE The Mammoth-Hayden Softball League is looking for coaches, umpires and people playing summer ball. Phone Albert at 471-3117 or Angel at 429-2958. KEARNY LITTLE LEAGUE REGISTRATION Kearny Little League Registration is being held every Monday, through March 3, from 3 pm - 5 pm at the Kearny Little League Concession Stand, for boys and girls, ages 4 -12. Cost of registration, per child, for T-Ball and Coach Pitch is $35 and for Minors, Majors and Softball is $45. For each additional child, $5 is taken off the fees. No late registrations will be accepted. PIONEER DAYS T-SHIRT PRE-SALES Pioneer Days T-Shirt pre-sales have begun with a deadline of March 14. The shirts cost $12 up to XL, or $1 more for each additional X. Anyone wishing to purchase an ad on the t-shirts can do so for $40. Drop by the Copper Basin Chamber office for pre-sales. KEARNY ROTARY PIONEER DAYS Kearny Rotary Members are busy selling Kearny Rotary Pioneer Days Beef Raffle tickets. First place is a half of beef. second and third places are ¼ sides of beef each. The drawing will be held on Saturday, March 22, at the Rotary Steak Cookout hosted by the GKI. Winner need not be present. Tickets may be purchased from any Rotary member or at the GKI.

QUILT SHOW Come to the Queen Valley Scrap Rats 12th Annual Quilt Show on Saturday, March 1, from 9:30 am - 4 pm at the Queen Valley Recreational Hall. Admission is free for those under 12 and $2, otherwise. Featured quilter is June McMillian. The Quilt Boutique Shop will be open. VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT Rally at Volleyball on Saturday, March 1 at Hayden Junior High, 824 Thorne Ave. in Winkelman. Up to eight players are allowed per Co-Ed team. The fee is $10 per player. Proceeds will go to the Pinal County Cinderella Delegation to attend the State Finals in Tucson, in June.

MEAT CANNING DEMONSTRATION Want to learn to can your own meat? Have questions about canning? We have the answers and will be having a free demonstration at the Kearny Library on March 4, 1 p.m. There will be a question and answer time while the meat is pressuring, followed by a dish made with canned meat, to sample. Meet at top of Sunrise Dr. at 5:30 p.m.; walk begins at 6 p.m. Pre-register to walk or host luminaria by calling Ariel Alonzo at 480-298-7828, Ciarra Villaverde at 480-528-8473, or Valerie Garcia at 520-689-3100. Donations are $10 - $12 for walk; $1, $5 and $10 for luminaria. Those registering the day of the walk will not receive a t-shirt. 6TH ANNUAL RHS PICNIC Spread the word: The Sixth Annual RHS Picnic is almost here. All Ray High School Alumni, Faculty, Staff, and their children or grandparents, are invited to attend on Saturday, March 22 to catch up with old classmates from noon - 5 p.m. at the PERA Club Pavilion, 1 E. EARNY ELKS LODGE # 2478 Kearny Elks Lodge # 2478 meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 7 p.m. The lounge has a new schedule of Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 5 – 8 p.m. EARNY SENIOR CITIZENS The Kearny Senior Citizen’s group meets every Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Constitution Hall. The group talks about trips to different places in Arizona as well as other subjects. A potluck dinner is held after the social hour on the last Wednesday of the month. New members are needed. Come down and join the group. T. MARY’S FOOD BANK St. Mary’s Food Bank will be in front of the Court House, on the first Friday of each month.
