Darg announced the sponsorship provided by a partner of Exploits Ministry to Sandy Shoshani, director of Be’ad Chaim, during our Watchmen convocation. At right below is a carved olive wood figurine of Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus escaping to Egypt presented to CBN Egypt’s organizer. He planned an outreach for us among the “garbage children” of Cairo, and the poor had the Gospel preached to them. It was a blessing to see these young lives in an Islamic society being taught Bible verses and songs, for many of the so-called “garbage people” are culturally Christians. Their livelihood depends on sifting through the city’s rubbish. For generations, the Christian garbage people have supported themselves by collecting trash door-to-door and recycling up to 80 percent of the waste (as compared to approximately 25 percent recycled by Western nations).

They use donkey-pulled carts to transport garbage for sorting in their neighbourhoods and homes. Our Christmas party provided gifts and Bible teaching.

The Gates Shall Not Be Shut! By Christine Darg It was no coincidence that while we were in Egypt, our mentor Reinhard Bonnke’s funeral was held. As Reinhard was promoted to glory, we sensed the awesome duty to keep carrying the Gospel torch to North Africa. Reinhard had a vision to take the Gospel from Cape Town to Cairo, and when we joined his team in the 1990s, we often spoke about the Isaiah 19 Highway and our desire to preach in Egypt, Morocco and the Maghreb. Reinhard gave us his blessing, but sadly we never held any meetings together in Egypt. Still, recently Peter and I made plans for more activities in Egypt, Lord willing. Isaiah 19:1 declares the Lord will come into Egypt on a “swift cloud.” Reinhard Bonnke is now part of the Hebrews 12: 1 “great cloud of witnesses!” At our website Exploits.TV we produced a video about our work with Reinhard, mentioning prophetic words spoken over his life and also our ministry. Reinhard often spoke about a prophecy that he would break through the iron gates of the pharoah-like spirit. That prophecy brought to mind Isaiah 45: 1-3. Would you pray these verses
