OVE R VIE W The Vilnius Convention Bureau is proud to present the 6th edition of CONVENE – Baltic Sea Region Exhibition for Meetings, Events and Incentives. CONVENE is a hosted buyer led event which showcases the Baltic Sea region and gathers the meetings industry profession under one roof. The event will take place on 14 – 15 February 2018 at the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre LITEXPO in Vilnius. CONVENE has become a significant meetings industry marketplace and meetings place for the countries of the Baltic and is designed to accelerate the meetings industry business development of the region. CONVENE creates a high quality standard and creating a boutique environment for business, networking and education. CONVENE 2018 will host 165+ pre-qualified international hosted buyers, who plan and organize meetings and events of all types. More than 80 exhibitors (hotels, agencies, convention bureau, conference centers, specialized service providers) will present their services from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Russia, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. Exhibitor registration will be open on 1 May 2017. Hosted buyers registration will be open on1 September 2017. All applications will undergo a stringent pre-qualification process. Hosted buyers will be selected primarily from European associations, corporations and agencies. One-on-one meetings between exhibitors and buyers will be prescheduled before the event using a bespoke online diary system. The online diary system will open on 3 January 2018. The event incorporates a key educational programme and networking events. Familiarization tours for the hosted buyers will be organized in Lithuania, as well as other countries of the Baltic Sea region including Latvia, Finland and Estonia. The fifth CONVENE was held at the beginning of February in 2017 and was again heralded a huge success, winning praise from the media, hosted buyers, visitors and exhibitors alike. 87 exhibitors showcased there meeting products and services. The hosted buyer programme accommodated 167 qualified buyers from throughout Europe and some from longer haul destinations. Overall more than 800 participants including exhibitors attended the show. More than 3500 one-to- one meetings were pre-scheduled before the exhibition and this number exceeded during the event.
Convene is the best organised event I ever participated. Last (2016) it was already excellent, and this is continued. Congratulation to the organisers and the whole staff! B U YER S A N D VIS ITOR S The Hosted Buyer Programme CONVENE features a fully Hosted Buyer Programme which guarantees the attendance of qualified association, corporate and agency buyers from throughout Europe, including Russia. Delegates on the Hosted Buyer Programme must demonstrate a history or real interest in placing meetings in the countries of the Baltic, undertake at least 10 pre-scheduled appointments per day and attend the official business networking events. Once buyers are recruited and qualified, CONVENE will host them at the event by taking care of their flights and accommodation, ground transfers and hospitality during their stay in Vilnius.
Visitors In addition to Hosted Buyers who will attend the exhibition, ‘Trade’ Visitors will also attend. Visitors are comprised of meetings and events professionals and many other professionals who plan, influence and appoint the selection of meeting destinations, venues, hotels and the range of meeting services. The Visitors category will also include decision makers from governmental institutions as well as from non-governmental organizations, universities and other types of organisation.

CONVENE is a non-profit event which is only made possible with a support from the state and the Vilnius’ industry partners, so Exhibitors are offered a very special participation fee:
- Early Bird rate 2145 EUR (until 1 July 2017)
