PUBLISHER’S LETTER

POWER OF THE SPIRIT I

am very excited to share our June issue of Conscious Community Magazine with you. In this issue, you will find articles about consciousness, spirituality, health, gardening, and astrology. I hope that everyone will find something in it that touches their lives. Every human being has a body, mind, and spirit—and this is who we are. We are spiritual beings experiencing life on the Earth. Our spirit is infinite and never dies, and our spirit’s energy is unconditional love. This is why we feel wonderful when we are in love. We have a lot of energy, we are happy…everything happens as we wish. Our spirit through our thought manifests everything we want. We just need to connect with our spirit every day in silence, ask questions, and witness what happens.

KATARZYNA (KASIA) SZUMAL

If you are not receiving what you desire, it is possible that there is a blockage in a form of trauma or a spell, in which case you may be feeling fear or anxiety; experiencing insomnia, allergies, or psycical problems; having accidents, money problems, or life partner issues; or lacking passion and/or energy in the body. You stop loving yourself, and you feel disconnected from yourself and/or the world. Those blockages are signs from your spirit that there is something in your unconscious mind that needs your attention. If you are feeling any of those symptoms, please consider past life regression hypnosis with any of the healers and practitioners in our Business Directory to find and release the cause of your problems. You are here to enjoy, life not suffer.

PUBLISHER

Our spirit can heal immediately. When I do past life regression hypnosis, I get in touch with a client’s spirit and uncover the root of the problem. In most cases, the spirit is not conscious what is happening to him/her, and hypnosis helps to analyze what those blockages are doing to the spirit, the body, and, ultimately, his/her life. These blockages can be released from the body. After a session, clients start feeling more energic, and their minds are clear. There is peace in the body and physical problems begin to disappear. Long-awaited pregnancies happen, and allergies dissipate. You may call these miracles, but they are not. When spirit is conscious, you can heal yourself immediately. You are part of God, and you have infinite energy to use in this lifetime for your dreams or healing. To learn about how to heal yourself, read Jakeb Brock’s article, Healing Through Consciousness. Also, in this issue, we explore the Divine Masculine. In the previous issue, I focused on the Divine Feminine in my letter, Sacred Feminine. You can read this article on our website by visiting, https://consciouscommunitymagazine. com/publishers-letter-the-sacred-feminine. And, in this issue, Scott Hilburn writes about Divine Masculinity in his article, The Rise of Divine Masculine. Scott shares: “Most men were shown and taught unhealthy masculine habits. We were taught that it’s weak to cry, show emotion, or be vulnerable…and that we need to bury our pain, pretend everything is okay, and force things to work. We were taught to be passive, not speak up, and be overly self-conscious, etc. Some men were taught to force; some were taught to suppress. Neither of these is the solution.” Coming soon, Scott is hosting a men’s retreat Rise Up Divine Masculine Immersion from July 8-11 in Austin, TX. [COMMUNITY Q&A]

ASK ALECIA by Alecia Rice

Q: I started a new venture and am hurt

that I don’t seem to get any support from my closest friends and family. How do I deal with my disappointment? — Feeling Unsupported A: Dear Feeling Unsupported, Since the pandemic, a lot of people have ventured out in new ways. So I’ve heard from many people who feel the same way. Most of the time, the disappointment is birthed from our expectation of how things should be contrasted against the reality of how they are. Whether they deserve it or not, the resulting feelings are easily projected onto other people. We may expect our friends and family to provide love, support, and assistance when we’re venturing into something new, but that expectation can often lead to disappointment. Lack of support and assistance from those closest to us is not unusual. I’ve learned in business groups that it is far more common than most of us realize. Sometimes, the expected support may even be replaced by criticism or a complete lack of acknowledgment as to what we’re doing. This can pour salt into the wounds when we’re already feeling vulnerable. While we have no control over who chooses to support us, we do have complete control over how we choose to view and process how we feel about those who don’t show up the way we expect them to. One of the most important things we can do is to quit thinking what others “should” do according to our standards. We can do this for our benefit and peace of mind. We have no control over what others do and

our expectation that they show up in a certain way only hurts us when they don’t. We can temper such disappointment by learning not to expect in the first place. This takes conscious practice working within oneself.

A better approach “would be to

communicate our needs clearly by giving various concrete examples of how people can provide support.”

It’s important to try our best to de-personalize the circumstances and to try to understand what might lie behind the lack of action. Sometimes our new ventures or seeing us in new roles makes others uncomfortable. On occasion, people don’t agree with—or understand—what we’re doing. This may cause them to question, criticize, or remain mute. Our growth looks and feels strange compared to how they’re accustomed to seeing us. They may be envious or jealous because we’re stepping out in a way that they’ve wanted to but haven’t yet. If people aren’t interested in what we’re doing, we may not feel supported. All of these human feelings are valid, yet they can also be hurtful—especially to somone who has stepped into vulnerability by doing something new and was hoping to be surrounded

by palpable love and support. This experience can help to build confidence, yet we alone are responsible for building that confidence. It’s an inside job. In our vulnerability, we can try to voice our disappointment, but that can be difficult when we’re already feeling fragile and unseen. A better approach would be to communicate our needs clearly by giving various concrete examples of how people can provide support. If their physical help, kind words of encouragement, or digital support (by “liking” and “sharing” social media posts) fulfills those needs, tell them. If we need to know that they’ll be there when we’re seeking their advice or expertise to help us blossom, speak up and let them know. Helping them understand how they can support you in ways that are comfortable and convenient for them may be helpful. Meanwhile, support yourself by acknowledging any sadness you feel due to your unmet needs and seek the root of that sadness. Don’t sweep your feelings under the rug, feel them. Figure out if you need to speak up, especially if there’s a pattern of disappointment, mistrust, or betrayal. You may need to set boundaries to halt the pattern of pain. Figure out other avenues that can ease your disappointment in the lack of support by connecting with people who aren’t as close to you or hiring others to fill in gaps. Disappointments often accumulate— which can cause us to overreact to lesser ones, especially if there’s a buildup of resentment or letdowns in the relationship. Learning to deal with minor disappointments with self-talk may help us regulate future disappointments. Also, reframing refocuses us in directions that we have more control over. HEALING THROUGH CONSCIOUSNES by Jakeb Brock

We human beings have been given a very great gift. Through our spiritual consciousness, we’ve each been given the ability to self-heal. And this healing is integral, complete, and so thorough that it transcends all of our previous notions of what it means to be healthy. It restores our soul, makes us whole and clean psychically, and brings perfect functionability to our bodies. Poignantly, few of us are even aware that we have this capability, and even fewer of us have learned the intricacies of how it operates and how to release it. But this does not change the fact that we have it. Learning how it works is not as difficult as we tend to believe. Not only do we have this wonderful gift, but we all are also capable of implementing it once we learn a few basic healing principles. 8

| CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY MAGAZINE JUNE 2021

The benefits of this knowledge, should it become mainstream, would be truly astounding—it would bring about a complete reordering of human society. Just imagine the majority of the people living on earth no longer needing to turn to existing institutions for their healthcare. Imagine empty hospitals, doctors with only one or two patients each day, pharmacies with shelves overflowing with unused stock, etc. Imagine the economic impact—no more astronomical doctor and hospital bills, no more outrageously priced pharmaceuticals, no more rising insurance premiums, no more need to take unpaid sick leave from our jobs, etc., etc., etc. How then does it work? How does our spiritual consciousness become our healer? To answer these questions we must begin

with a deeper understanding of what exactly this faculty of spiritual consciousness within us is and where it comes from. Human spiritual consciousness is, in fact, not human at all. It is Spirit, and that means it is Divine—this is what Jesus meant when he said, “The kingdom of heaven is within you” (Luke 17:21). It is a little slice of heaven planted within us; but its figurative size is little only because of our ignorance and neglect. It is as big as God because God is indivisible. Any slice of God is as big as the whole, just as a ray of sunlight is a part of the sun or a wave that washes ashore is a part of the ocean. Therefore, the little faculty of spiritual consciousness within us is actually as big as the entire universe and is revealed as such according to our degree of spiritual realization. As a part of God, our spiritual consciousness is also perfect. It is the part of us that is the perfection of being. It needs nothing, as it is already complete and whole. It’s not subject to death or decay; it is eternal. This is who we are at our core essence. It’s only our lack of realization that obscures this amazing truth. Most people are completely unaware of this, and many of those who are aware fail to fully utilize the benefits of this endowment. The pressures of life in this world cause us to rely on just about every other aspect of our human makeup before we even think to look to our spiritual core. That’s why we all need to gain a better understanding of how we are made.

We each have this divine pearl within us, and it is powerful, perfect, and eternal. As human beings, this is what sets us apart from all other creatures. It is our greatest gift, but it is totally up to us as to whether or not we choose to utilize this gift and benefit from it. This is the key to successful living—not the success that the world calls success, but rather, the success that has real lasting value. It ought not to surprise us that those among us who are happiest, healthiest, and most free have become that way through the rightful appropriation of this gift. Healing is directly connected to the use of this gift. That is why we all have the ability to self-heal. Like all other purely spiritual pursuits, healing operates according to immutable scientific principles or laws. These laws are woven into the very fabric of our universe. They have been in place since the beginning of time. They have never been altered, removed, or disabled. They are as predictable as the changing of the seasons. So when we approach healing as an aspect of universal law, we can be assured that we are standing on very solid ground. The healing principle is not difficult to grasp. It’s simply that we human beings were created perfect and have the perfection of being as our natural state. Contrastingly, disease, death, decay, and dysfunction are aberrations that have come into play through the belief in imperfection and the fear that we’re on our own when it comes to dealing with such devastating demonstrations. This belief in our imperfection might not be so problematic if it were merely a mental idea. But, what has happened to us is that this belief has seeped down into the

collective and become fixed. So, disease, death, decay, and dysfunction have been seemingly irreversible aspects of the human experience throughout this age. Besides the obvious dualistic differences between these two beliefs, there’s also an important experiential distinction. Perfection is a law of our universe—a law that can never be changed or removed. But, imperfection is a strictly human concept—a mere belief that has no basis in law or reality. Therefore, the healing principle based on our created perfection is much more substantial and enduring than the human belief in our imperfection. All we need to do is recognize this truth and let it sink down into our consciousness until it becomes fixed therein. As we do this, the belief in our imperfection will simply dissolve. The fact that it involves our consciousness takes this practice beyond the realm of mental affirmation. In other words, the power to heal is dependent on two things: knowing the truth of how we were made and letting that truth gain a firm foothold in consciousness. When these two ingredients have been activated, all we have to do is sit quietly, relax, and consciously bring them to mind. Many people who have undertaken the practice of meditation can attest to its inherent healing power. They may not have originally turned to meditation with healing as their primary motivation, nonetheless, healing takes place. Without being aware of it, they have, through practicing mindfulness, been applying the healing principle of our created perfection to their life situation. Simply by giving their divine spiritual, consciousness full authority over their earthly life situation, healing kicked in. As long as we are moving in the authority of our spiritual consciousness, we’re abiding in or accessing the perfection of being. Then when we add conscious intent and awareness to the mix, we’ll find that we can heal at will. This healing principle is the true basis for all forms of nonmedical self-healing. Though some may have learned and had some success with other healing methods, their success has come from inadvertently putting the principle of our created perfection into effect. This is also the reason that some who have learned and practiced certain methods haven’t had much success. These have focused exclusively on methodologies and have sidestepped the universal law of healing. Without at least touching upon the principle, methodologies alone do nothing. The same principle also applies when attempting to heal others, but this arena can be a little more difficult to navigate. To heal others, we must be well-grounded in this principle; we must have integrated it into our consciousness so fully that we never doubt it and never waver. Self-healing is a good starting place for us. We will most certainly begin to see results in our lives. Healing others is a different kind of gift. It is the gift of master consciousness. Healing others integrally can’t happen without the healer being grounded in the truth of this principle beyond all doubt. It only happens when the spiritual consciousness of the healer is fully imbued with this truth. This is how all of the great spiritual 10

| CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY MAGAZINE JUNE 2021

masters healed others. It was not by them doing anything to the one in need of healing. Rather, it was simply by being themselves and standing in the authority of their fully imbued state of consciousness. But while you and I may not yet be of this advanced master consciousness, we can still practice self-healing with remarkable success. Of course the degree of this success depends on how immune to doubt and wavering we are. If our adherence to the healing principle hasn’t yet become entrenched in our consciousness, or if it’s weak due to our unbelief, the results of our efforts may be hit-or-miss or a little slow. But as our faith grows stronger, our self-healing initiative is sure to blossom. As a practical example, let’s say that you’ve caught a cold. Through the authority of your consciousness and adhering to the principle of your created perfection, you have the capability to make that cold disappear almost instantaneously. So, you sit quietly, establish your spiritual Presence, bring to mind the truth about your created perfection, yet nothing happens. You still feel all the cold symptoms you did prior to sitting. What went wrong in this scenario? In all likelihood, the culprit is unbelief. In other words, though you brought to mind the truth concerning your created perfection, you didn’t really believe it. This kind of unbelief comes into play when we have not yet established the truth in consciousness but rather embraced it only with intellect. What is the solution? Simply stay with it. We must continue to abide in the truth until it sinks down into our consciousness. This is generally a gradual outworking; our ability to self-heal may also display gradual progress. In other words, we may not at first be able to cure a cold instantaneously. Perhaps, the best we can do will be to make a cold go away quicker than it normally would. Instead of lasting a week, the cold might only last four days. Then the next time we catch a cold it might only last two days. Eventually, not only will our colds be curable, they will cease to happen. We’ll no longer catch colds because we’ve grown so strong in the truth of our created perfection, that this state of consciousness acts as a shield of immunity—not only against colds but even against more serious afflictions. Ultimately, we won’t need to practice self-healing at all. There will come a point in our spiritual consciousness development, wherein we’re already whole and integrally healed. When this state of holistic perfection is fully realized, it never leaves us. From that time on, we’ll no longer be susceptible to disease or dysfunction. Even death will cease to be a power over us. True, we may at some point depart from this earthly plane, but it will not be through death’s door in the traditional sense. It will be through an act of our own consciousness—a graceful and easy transition from the earthly plane back to the plane of the Divine. Divine Masculine Immersion Men’s Retreat

THE RISE OF DIVINE MASCULINE Article and photos by Scott Hilburn On a beautiful fall day, I was struck by lightning. My wife and I just finished the closing ceremony to a retreat we held on our land in Austin, TX. As I stood by the firepit for a moment of decompression. Seemingly out of nowhere, I was hit by an incredible force. It wasn’t an actual bolt of lightning, yet it was comparable. It was a vision that emerged into my consciousness. The vision was so full of light; I felt it in my entire being. My whole body vibrated with energy and my head radiated with intensity. My breath deepened and my body filled with awe and delight. I knew without a doubt I was in the presence of the Divine. This vision showed me a culmination of memories. I saw all the ways I’ve applied myself spiritually and developmentally. I saw all the many meditations, techniques, and yoga that I had practiced over the past decade. I saw my physical body strengthening and my emotional intelligence increasing. These memories began to collide with the men’s work in which I’ve recently engaged. Like 12

Lighting the Firewalk

a slideshow in my mind, I saw all the circles in which I have sat with other men. I could barely keep up with the memories. That’s when it truly hit me. I saw a coalescence of all the many years of service, dedication, learning, and practice come together to create a brand-new mission inside my heart. The vision was vast yet so simple: I was to devote myself to the creation of men’s retreats. I recognized it as a true soul desire, and immediately, I went to work on that vision. It has since come to form an entity of its own in a very quick amount of time. I call it the Divine Masculine Immersion, and it’s rapidly changing people’s lives. It’s humbling and empowering to witness.

From an early age, men are often taught about manhood from a limited and physically-oriented perspective. Simply put: don’t cry, just fix it, puff up, be the provider. These seem to be the loudest messages we receive. I feel that men in our society are aching to expand, and this is what I teach in my immersions. When teaching men about our Divine nature, I often use the Yin-Yang symbol. The circle represents Divinity which is split in two: Masculine and Feminine. Each one has the other within it, symbolized by the little dot of the opposite color within each side. We all have Masculine and Feminine within us. Ideally, we are able to use both of these expressions to serve ourselves and the world. Both qualities are equally Scott Hilburn important and do not exist without the other. As we embrace the healthiest version of our dominant quality, we have the ability to more fully receive the other quality. So this means as men embrace their Divine Masculine Energy, they now can receive and understand the Divine Feminine within them and around them more readily. The same is true for the Divine Feminine, as those with that dominant quality deeply align with it, they will now be able to better understand and receive the Divine Masculine within them and around them. When balanced, this leads to the ability to consciously toggle between the two energies as needed. This is so needed in the world, in leadership positions, and especially within relationships between two people. The Divine Masculine is Spiritual Warrior. The Divine Feminine is Spiritual Scholar. The Divine Masculine is described in the Akashic Records as a lightning bolt of awareness, consciousness of movement, and creative and aggressive energy. It is activating, moving, goal-oriented, task-oriented, activity-oriented, heeding, enlivening, and strengthening. The Divine Feminine is described as all that is receiving, nurturing, receptive, understanding, compassionate, empathetic, softening, loosening, relaxing, and harmonious. We need both to manifest! The Divine Masculine pursues, initiates, and manifests, while the Divine Feminine receives, nurtures, and develops. I’ve learned it this way: the Masculine is the riverbank that holds structure and space, and the Feminine is the powerful water and energy that flows through. The river does not exist without the banks (i.e. structure) or without the flowing energy of water. I believe many of the world’s problems today are due to the overuse of Masculine Energy that has become less Divine and more toxic. This shows in extreme usage of resources to achieve goals that are not in service to the greater good. This, in turn, suppresses Feminine Energy. The rise of the Feminine is extremely important in this regard. The Feminine has a great ability to receive from the Divine, operate from intuition, and update, change, and evolve—even in the middle or last stages of creative manifestation. The world needs balanced leadership

that embraces both masculine and feminine qualities, so we have direction, forward motion, and achievement, while also having the ability to receive new inspiration, nurturing and updates. We need men to realize the Divine Feminine so that men can create, lead, and serve from that place, rather than egoic identities that may be self-serving. We are here to evolve, awaken and realize who we truly are and to create on this earth with the consciousness of that, the Divine. The Rise of the Feminine is a much-needed movement on this Earth, as energies have been out of balance in this world for quite some time. This is one part of the process that must occur to save this planet and will enable us to go from surviving to thriving. When a pendulum is so far swung to one side, it almost always has to swing to the other side to create balance. The rise of the Feminine is healing to the world. While the Feminine finds its voice and freedom, it awakens the world out of toxic its masculinity. However, the cause and effect of the rise of the Feminine is a sudden need for the evolution of the Masculine. Sometimes humanity throws the baby out with the bathwater. Just because Toxic Masculine (an unhealthy use of masculine energy that isn’t serving the greater good of all) has been a major influence in the world and the world’s Divine Masculine Immersion problems, doesn’t mean that we need eliminate Masculine Energy or suppress it. Rather, we need to evolve the Masculine Energy into Divine Masculine or Healthy Masculine energy. What will serve this world the most is the unification of Healthy and Divine Feminine and Masculine working together to be whole to create the world we desire. We can’t abolish men or masculine energy—as everything designed in this creation we call the Universe serves a grand purpose…just all aspects of a forest serve the whole. We need men and the Masculine Presence in this world to lift and evolve the world to its highest expression, highest purpose, and highest use of its energy—the Divine Masculine Energy. When this happens, we’ll use our masculine energy to create good for all concerned,

sacrifice ways of being that no longer serve the whole, align the self with the highest self, bring healing, and serve all creation. In this important time of the rise of the Feminine and monumental change, many men are confused, ashamed, fearful, overly sensitive, suppressed, living in hidden pain, lost, or overly exerting masculine energy. For the most part, men have not had ideal role models or examples of Divine Masculine or Healthy Masculine. Most men were shown and taught unhealthy masculine habits. We were taught that it’s weak to cry, show emotion, or be vulnerable… and that we need to bury our pain, pretend everything is okay, and force things to work. We were taught to be passive, not speak up, and be overly self-conscious, etc. Some men were taught to force; some were taught to suppress. Neither of these is the solution. As a masculine presence in a man’s body, I have had to put in a lot effort to update old patterns and create new patterns from which my mind can operate. Men and masculine identifiers in this current state of the world must learn to fully embrace the Divine Masculine Energy in service to the world, the Feminine, themselves, and all creation. While doing so, they will more greatly be fulfilled and more greatly harmonize with the Feminine. When we embrace our main quality, we are afforded the opportunity to readily experience the Feminine quality within our self more readily. So, by men stepping away to do men’s work, we are not only serving men, we are serving women, children, all people, and the world. I have found from practicing and leading men’s work, that I have embraced my Divine Masculine and my Divine Feminine. I honor, respect, and utilize both qualities regularly in my life and leadership. So far, at men’s retreats, I have seen men become truly vulnerable…some, for the first time, acknowledging the pain they’ve been carrying. I have seen 50-old-year men heal wounds from their childhood and open their heart more than they ever have before to experience the love that is always here for them. I saw an 18-year-old who was lost and questioning whether or not to stay alive, find a deep sense of purpose and self-value that caused him to be radiant and change his trajectory of life. I have seen brothers who have not truly experienced the Divine Connection or their power testify that now they have found one or the other (or both), and state that the discovery has directly influenced their relationships, family, career, and daily life. I am truly honored to hold space for men to heal, feel, and become more real, as well as to connect with their Higher Self, mission and purpose, and Greater Divinity. It is medicine and healing in itself to experience brotherhood, a container of men all dedicated or desiring to be better men. Men learn to be vulnerable, feel received and heard, open up in greater ways than ever before; they learn to look fellow men in the eyes, to hug and embrace other men. We go through several initiations to challenge ourselves, train ourselves to become comfortable outside of our comfort zones, and learn to embrace challenges as opportunities. We are in a special time where people are awakening to a greater purpose and greater possibilities. Men are discovering that they are powerful individuals. We are just in a space and utilizing tools to realize that power. Now we can harness that power to have a greater influence and presence in this world. This Divine Masculine shows up: • When we listen to those who need to be heard. • When we love and embrace the Feminine when it needs to feel its pain. • When we speak up when something needs to be spoken. • When we remain calm, respond more, and react less. • When we embrace challenges as opportunities rather than complain about them. • When we open our hearts and give love. • When we are more compassionate and less judgmental. • When we have the courage and strength to pursue our soul’s mission. When we have a greater connection to the Divine, Great Spirit, Universe, God, or whatever you choose to call the source of all creation that is only found within; when discovered within ourselves, we will see it is omnipresent. Half of the world’s population is men. The time is now for men to arise and invoke the change— to rise into our healthy power, so we can use our presence to serve the world, the Feminine and all. Men who are divinely aligned can break the cycle of toxic masculinity and set an example for generations to come. There is no more time to wait; the only time is now. If not us, who? I encourage all men and women to explore men’s circles, women’s circles, or immersive retreats. Whether you are new to this work or experienced in personal and spiritual growth practices, the sacred containers of men’s and women’s work will add value to your life. [ ORGANIC GARDENING]

GARDEN KEEPERS by Sue Odland As summer temperatures rise bountiful gardens bloom, garden pests do too. Keep your garden safe from chemicals this season by using the wisdom of Mother Nature to provide effective, natural pest control. Using a combination of the following strategies will provide your plants with well-rounded protection against unwelcome garden visitors this year.

CLAIM THE SPACE Strong garden borders keep vegetables in and unwanted guests out. Create a defined edge around the garden perimeter for easier mowing and to provide a solid barrier against creeping weeds. Use logs, bricks, rocks, or edging material, either found or purchased, to create the border. The addition of simple, inexpensive fencing like chicken wire or small foldable fences will provide extra protection from inquisitive pets and local wildlife.

GOOD NEIGHBORS Planting vegetables that complement each other produces healthier plants, better yields, and a strong defense against garden bugs and pests. However, some plants do not grow well with others. Before planting, check the In-Depth Companion Planting Guide at motherearthnews.com to ensure the pairing of friends, not foes.

A few examples of friendly pairings include: Beans with potatoes, carrots with leeks; dill with cabbage or cucumbers; spinach with radishes; tomato with basil; onions and garlic with tomatoes, broccoli, peppers, cucumbers, spinach or strawberries. However, do not plant onions and garlic with beans, peas, sage, or asparagus, as the onions and garlic will inhibit the other plants’ growth.

RARE FINDS Stop the war on weeds. Chemical-free lawns and gardens abound with nutritious and delicious edible delicacies including: dandelions, chickweed, purslane, lamb’s quarters, clover, Creeping Charlie, wild violets, and many more. Eat them raw, steamed, or sautéed. Savor them in salads, juices, casseroles, or teas. These earth treats pack a tremendous amount of vitamins, nutrition, and health benefits. Search online for helpful identifying photos, nutritional facts, and recipes.

THE STRENGTH OF BLOOMS Adding specific flowers to the garden will create an attractive garden defense. Certain strong floral scents repel harmful beetles, aphids, fleas, moths, and other plant-damaging insects. The blooms will also supply vital nutrition for bees, butterflies, and local wildlife. Proven varieties include: marigolds, chrysanthemums, lavender, nasturtiums andpetunias. Visit growveg.com/guides/flowers-for-vegetable-gardens to learn more about the specific qualities of each beneficial bloom.

WINGED DEFENDERS Beneficial insects are an excellent form of organic pest control. These favorable garden protectors search out and eliminate harmful bugs from your flowers and vegetables. They can be purchased at

local garden and feed stores, or ordered online. To learn more about these remarkable garden defenders, explore planetnatural.com, or gardeninsects.com. Popular species of beneficial insects include:

Ladybugs – these attractive garden visitors control aphids (tiny white flies that attack tomatoes). Purchase them in bulk. Release them into your garden in early evening to allow time for them to find food and water.

Praying Mantis – this carnivorous insect reduces bug populations naturally and helps maintain a healthy ecological balance in the garden. Purchase the praying mantises as eggs; and place in the garden or around the yard. The eggs will hatch after 4-6 weeks of warm weather, producing hundreds of small protectors ready to patrol the garden.

Beneficial Nematodes – these tiny microscopic roundworms can destroy over 200 species of harmful insects, including caterpillars, grubs, Japanese beetles, and other unwelcome in-ground insects. Add beneficial nematodes to the garden in the evening by mixing them with water, then spray or sprinkle them onto areas with noticeable or suspected insect infestation.

GARDEN FOLK WISDOM Use these time-tested tips to deter garden pests:

Slugs – There are numerous natural methods to eliminate this notorious garden pest including; beer traps, seaweed mulch, copper borders, and protective aluminum foil shields. Search for natural slug control online to learn more about these easy DIY techniques.

Flying insects – Make a simple insecticidal soap to eliminate aphids and other soft-bodied insects from garden and household plants. Add 2 tbsp. of dishwashing soap to 1 gallon of water. Pour into a spray bottle; and spray entire plant, soaking both sides of the leaf and stem. Wait 2-3 days, repeat as needed.

Birds – Protect ripe berries from birds by placing floating row covers over the plants and bushes.

Squirrels – Add an artificial owl near tomatoes to protect ripening fruits from squirrels. The owl is a natural predator of squirrels, rabbits, and other small animals. This season try simple, natural solutions from Mother Nature to bring peace to your garden space. Sue Odland is a freelance writer and Midwestern gardener. WWW.CONSCIOUSCOMMUNITYMAGAZINE.COM

TAP INTO TRANSFORMATIVE POWER Available to You by Carl Greer PhD, PsyD Many people put aside their dreams and instead set new priorities that are out of sync with their authentic selves; they do this to be practical and gain approval from others. In midlife or during crises, such as health problems, the loss of a job or loved one, the end of a marriage and so on, we often will awaken to how much we have restricted ourselves and compromised our values. Exploring themes of authenticity and transformation can make us feel frightened as we face truths about ourselves that we have tried to ignore. Yet, these themes can also lead us to breakthroughs and positive changes. I was able to reclaim my mythopoetic self—my spiritual nature— and gain greater satisfaction as a result of doing inner work. I saw how I had repressed my desire to explore the realm of psychology and how the mind works. By tapping into the 16

| CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY MAGAZINE JUNE 2021

transformative power available to me, I became able to live more authentically. If you are thinking about making changes in your life, you might want to reflect on the compromises that you have made. You can start by working with your unconscious and what it knows, making it conscious so that you can be honest with yourself about choices you have made and why. This work can be unsettling yet rewarding. Doing dreamwork, Jungian sand tray work, or taking shamanic journeys that allow you to access your unconscious and its beneficial insights and energies, can bring answers to questions such as: • What compromises have I made that I regret? • What are my deepest desires?

• How could I live more authentically, in sync with those desires? • What do I need to let go of? • What do I need to bring in? I once undertook a shamanic journey to engage the energy of a jaguar, an archetypal energy that Andean shamans recognize as a powerful ally for transformation. A shaman I know who was doing the work with me, entered “non-ordinary” reality, and as everyday awareness gave way, I entered a realm beyond the limitations of my senses. In my hand was a jaguar stone that the shaman had given me—a stone said to hold jaguar energy and carved with the face of this feline that roams the rainforest. Suddenly, the stone began to pulse and throb as if it were breathing.

transformative power available to you and the insights available in your unconscious. “It’s alive! It’s alive!” I shouted to the shaman. “Feed it! Feed it! Before it feeds on you!” he exclaimed. Quickly he pressed my bottle filled with Florida water (used for blessings, ceremonies, and cleansings) into my other hand. “Feed it! Hurry!” he cried. Knowing what he meant, I took some of the liquid into my mouth and sprayed it out in a mist toward the jaguar before it could devour me. Instinctively, I knew the beast hungered for me as I had hungered for its essence—the alchemical potential I had yearned for as far back as I could remember. I waited, transfixed. Had my offering been accepted? Then the jaguar’s threat lifted like a fog and floated away into the night air. I felt the wet stone in my palm, sinister no more yet still alive, warm and breathing. My heart still pounded, but I realized the danger had passed. Feed it. So simple. My soul had craved nourishment, yet I had denied it again and again in the interests of practicality. Life was hard work and responsibility, not a poem or a mystery—that’s what I’d learned from my family and the Midwestern culture in which I’d been raised. Conforming to these values, I suppressed my yearnings for many years. My experience with the shaman and the jaguar did not just offer me the insight to feed my soul before my longing for nourishment ate away at me, (making me even more restless and perhaps even causing me to develop an illness or disease); I believe this experience also offered me the elixir of jaguar energy. This energy fueled changes I made in my everyday life—changes that set me on a new, rewarding path to becoming a shamanic practitioner, integrating shamanism into my everyday life and work, and eventually, becoming an author and philanthropist. As an ally to me, the Jaguar has helped me to change the story of my life to be more satisfying, but it took quieting the activity of my conscious mind and engaging my unconscious to access this source of transformative power. What might you be able to change in your life if you were to tap into your unconscious and explore the wisdom and energies for change? Presently, you might be underestimating the

Healing Messages by Laura Aversano

I was born in a lineage of seers and what I call “spiritwalkers.” Transcending time and space while interacting within the spirit world and unconscious states of humanity seemed like my birthright from the moment I came into this world. When I was little, I would play in the alcove atop my bedroom closet. I often used to think that I was dreaming while awake since I would see and speak with people that no one else in the house seemed to notice. Alternate realities, various lifetimes, and prior incarnations became my vocabulary, my blueprint, as a young child. I remember telling my mom about my special friends who would visit and play with me. By the time I was six or seven, I had developed a keen interest in the afterlife and in souls who could speak and connect with us from beyond the veil. I remembered lives I’d lived before. I told my mom how I’d died in some of them and persevered in others. Names from history crossed my lips when I was still learning how to read. My curiosity about ESP was strong, and I hungered to know more about crossing the veil, traveling in time, and moving to and from dimensions. I became fascinated with mysticism even though I didn’t refer to it in the 18

| CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY MAGAZINE JUNE 2021

appropriate vernacular. I was raised Catholic and was very keen on understanding the healing abilities of Christ and the Saints. I thought my interests were the same as my friends, but I realized very quickly in second grade when I began speaking of such things, that perhaps I should keep quiet. My mother became my guide in this world. She held space for my growing abilities, sometimes conscious and sometimes not. She later shared stories with me about how she would protect me from spirits that she felt came to bring harm to one so innocent and young. My mother was raised in Sicily. Her maiden name translated from Latin means “one star.” She was also born a vessel for healing through her ability to see beyond the present. As a young child, she would awaken in the middle of the night to see the Holy Mother standing at the foot of her bed. Most of the time she thought she was dreaming. Her visitations became my visitations. She remembers traversing the streets of Sicily praying, and sometimes, people would follow. There is even a story that

my mother appeared to have died. She collapsed with no apparent heartbeat and was prepared in burial clothes and placed in the middle of her childhood home for visitors to come and pay their respects. Some time had passed, and she awoke as people were praying over her body to the shock of onlookers and family. Stories like this run in my family. Mysterious illnesses brought on by spiritual manifestations— many of which have physically impacted me, at various points in my life. Thus, my path seemed to be destined for me as a space-holder in my lineage. One who would continue where my ancestors left off. I have spent many years through both traditional academic settings along with mystical encounters trying to understand the dynamics of good and evil in both this world and beyond the veil. What I have come to realize, is the ability for me to hold space in any realm affords me the blessing of Presence—the blessing of the Divine. Holding space has become a discipline for me and my writing. And that is what I hope to achieve when you read my words. The ability to hold space in both the darkness and the light for us to heal individually and collectively. The following affirmations, prayers and messages are selected from my book, Affirmations of the Light in Times of Darkness: • The sun never realized the light of its own being until it paused one day to see all that had blossomed in its path. • There are days that I want to be a solitary raindrop amidst the impending storm whose power and might lie within its intrepid stillness. • Your path has been witnessed already by those who have met God. • Honor the unknown. • Your life needs you. • An act of mercy can humble any darkness. • Piece by piece, you gather yourself gently until your life story becomes one that you are no longer afraid to tell. • We may not always get the chance to write our own story, but we have the power to choose how to tell it. • There will come a time when you lose interest in telling your story from that familiar wounded place. You will lose interest in those perceptions which keep you shackled from living an authentic life. You will lose interest in repeating words that dampen your spirit and continue to hold you accountable for pain that no longer serves you. • There will come a time when your spirit wants to soar with reckless abandon in the creation of a new story. The images might be the same, the words might be familiar. The wound will still be present. Your story will become more powerful than the wound because you have finally allowed it to be. The images and words will finally be given the space to find sanctity so that your story is not only birthed anew but made holy for all eternity.

• A story once told is never forgotten. • Even when the mind forgets, the wind remembers, the stars reminisce, the moon smiles, and the heavens share your story with all creation. • Be at ease with what you think is lost, for all your memories are held by the holiest of friends above. • Your story will always be sacred. • Your footprints will tell the truth of your story long after you are gone even when the words you speak in this lifetime cannot. • If you can’t change your story, change how you see yourself in it. VEGGIE GRILLING by Betsy Bruns

I’ve never had much of a green thumb—more like a brown one. Although it’s my mission to inspire others to eat more plants, I’m much more comfortable in the kitchen than in the garden. This year, a friend planted a small garden for my husband and me. Perhaps now I’ll grow a green thumb. We’ve been able to harvest kale and are anxiously waiting for the brussels sprouts, tomatoes, and zucchini to come in. We are also back to grilling more often. For some reason, we abandoned our grill for a time, but we’re back to firing it up regularly now, and I look forward to grilling our harvests from our little garden one day soon. The truth is most of us are not grilling enough vegetables. Throwing veggies on the barbie is one of the best ways to cook them. The high, dry heat means less cooking time, and less nutrients lost in water, preserving more of the good stuff that makes them so healthy. Grilled vegetables, unlike meat, don’t become toxic from the 20

| CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY MAGAZINE JUNE 2021

cooking process. When meat is grilled, a chemical reaction occurs and heterocyclic amines (HCAs) are released. HCAs form when amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein, sugars, and creatine (substances found in muscle) react at high temperatures. When we eat meat cooked at high temperatures, this chemical reaction can cause mutation in our DNA and can increase the risk of cancer. This chemical reaction does not occur when grilling fruits and vegetables. Not only can we cook plants on the grill without concern about carcinogens, but also grilling is a healthier way to cook veggies as most of the vitamins and nutrients are preserved in the cooking process. Many kinds of vegetables can be cooked on the grill. For a general rule of thumb, the lower the water content, the better. Plants can be cooked directly on the grill, in a basket, or on a grill mat. They are delicious plain, without seasonings or sauces. If “sauce is boss” for you, skip the oily marinades. Oils are not needed for flavor or nutrition, and they add unnecessary, unhealthy fats.

My go-to marinade is smoky and light, using ingredients you probably have in your pantry. However, you can use your favorite recipe, grab a store-bought brand, or opt for simple seasonings and spices.

EASY SMOKY MARINADE Marinade time: 1-3 hours Whisk together: ¼ cup apple cider vinegar ½ cup low sodium vegetable broth ¼ cup aquafaba (juice from a can of chickpeas) 2 tablespoons tamari, liquid aminos, or low sodium soy sauce Liquid smoke to taste (optional) ½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon smoked paprika Pepper to taste Guide for veggie grilling: Preheat clean grill to medium-high heat. Lightly coat the rack with cooking spray, unless using grill mat or basket. If desired, you can lightly coat your veggies with cooking spray, too. Now, throw them on the heat and listen for the sizzle when the veggies hit the grate. Don’t move them for three to four minutes, or half of the cooking time, to get good marks and that signature grilled flavor. Asparagus: Trim away the bottom inch. Grill time: 3-4 minutes. Peppers: Seed and cut into quarters. Grill time: 8-9 minutes. Onion: Peel and quarter. Grill time: 8-9 minutes. Eggplant, squash, and zucchini: Cut lengthwise into long strips, about one-quarter inch thick. Grill time: 7-8 minutes. Portobello mushrooms: Remove dirt and stem. Grill 3-4 minutes on each side.

4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted Butter-flavored vegetable oil cooking spray (to taste) ½ cup good quality balsamic vinegar 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon almond extract Fresh mint sprigs (to garnish) Heat gas grill to medium-high. Coat peach halves with cooking spray (use about two sprays per peach half). Place peaches cut side down on the grill and grill for about four to five minutes per side, until grill marks appear and peaches are slightly softened. While peaches are grilling, prepare the glaze. Add vinegar to a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Boil vinegar until it is reduced by half and looks thick. Add sugar, lemon juice, and almond extract. Remove peaches from the grill and place cut side up on a dessert dish. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and garnish with a mint sprig. If not, try this delicious dessert recipe from the Physicians Committee. It’s doctor-approved.

COSMIC DAILY WEATHER June 2021 by Bernadette Evans

Overview This June, a lot is going on in the skies. On June 10, we have a Solar Eclipse and a New Moon in the sign of Gemini, which makes for an extra kick! This eclipse highlights communication and the need to express yourself. Also, Mercury is still retrograde until June 22. Even after it turns direct, it still needs a week or so to get up to speed. The second of the Saturn Uranus’ square is exact on June 14. The first one was exact on Feb. 17, and the last square will be on Dec. 24. This square is about old thinking versus new thinking/innovations. It’s about old ways, old structures and old institutions breaking down, or at least, having one heck of a shake-up! The days have been getting longer here in the northern hemisphere, culminating with the Summer Solstice on June 20. In the Southern hemisphere, it’s the opposite. The days are getting shorter heralding the Winter Solstice. Whatever hemisphere you live in, notice the amount of light and how it affects you internally. Does it invigorate you, or does it make you want to go inward? The Moon takes about 28 days to complete its orbit through the twelve signs, staying approximately two and a half days in each sign. When we say the Moon is Void of Course (VoC), it means the Moon makes no more major aspects to other planets before it leaves the sign it’s in. At these times, it can be difficult to get focused and accomplish a task. You may want to relax, meditate, or do something where your focus is turned inward. Don’t try and get a new project off the ground when the moon is void. If you want to find out more about the Void of Course Moon, check out moontracks.com.

The times below are listed in Central Daylight Time (CDT).

Tuesday, June 1 When the Moon conjoins Jupiter, you could be trying to do too much. You’re over-extending yourself, doing a little bit here and a little bit there, and you’re not getting a whole lot accomplished. You’re spinning your wheels and not getting any traction at all. Take a breath. You need to find balance. Try focusing on one area at a time. Complete it, check it off, and then move on. Moon VoC at 1:14 a.m. until 4:07 a.m. when it enters the sign of Pisces.

Wednesday, June 2 Emotions may be heightened while the Moon cozies up to Neptune. It’s not exact until late tonight, but those of you who are sensitive could be feeling it. There are five planets in water signs, which suggests you might be feeling everything. Try to keep one foot firmly planted on terra firma, so you don’t float off into the ethers. Be careful of taking substances, it could be too much for your system right now. Feel into the energy and flow with it. It’s ever-moving and changing, so follow the flow of the water. You could be feeling generous and able to lend a helping hand to others. We’re all connected and everyone needs help at some point. Venus enters the sign of Cancer at 8:19 a.m.

Thursday, June 3 You may need some time alone to figure out your next steps. What direction do you want to go in 24

life? When you have an idea of what you want, it’s easier to set out on the path. The Sun-Saturn trine underscores putting in the work (gladly) which makes it easier to deal with your responsibilities. Self-discipline is your friend; you’re able to understand what you need to do and have no problem focusing on the task, whatever it may be, to get you to the finish line. Venus trines Jupiter, emphasizing the desire to connect with your friends. You feel benevolent and generous and want to spend time with the ones you love. You also want to have fun! You may be tempted to do too much, so use your intuition to see if this is a good idea. Moon VoC at 6:10 a.m. until 12:59 p.m. when it enters the sign of Aries.

have dissipated. You may want to have a nap or treat yourself to a cookie. Do something nice and comforting for yourself.

The Moon-Mars sextile is a soft sort of energy— like that of your favorite aunt or uncle who encouraged you and supported you in everything you tried/did. Follow that with the Moon-Jupiter square in the late afternoon, which is another benevolent energy. There is the potential for overextending yourself, overdoing. You’re on the move and may optimistically think you can do more than you possibly can. Moon VoC from 10:07 a.m. until 1:47 p.m. when it enters the sign of Gemini.

The Sun square Neptune is exact tonight. You might feel like you’re going in circles and not sure which direction to take. All of this could feel exhausting. This is not the time to begin a new venture. If you’re overly idealistic about certain aspects of it and it doesn’t materialize, you could become depressed. A shadow side of the Sun-Neptune square is deception. This could be either you deceiving yourself or another. Or you could be naïve and taken in by a smooth talker. One good use of this energy is to be creative. So play with words, clay, music, paints, tarot cards…whatever you feel called to. Moon VoC at 6:16 a.m. until 1:22 p.m. when it enters the sign of Leo.

Tuesday, June 8

When the Moon sextiles the Sun…you could be feeling enthusiastic and eager; your inner world and outer world are more in sync. You have the opportunity to make waves in the world. Whether it’s at work or in a relationship, enthusiasm coupled with confidence is attractive. It’s easier to communicate with others.

You probably feel like you’re putting the pieces of a puzzle together. When the Moon trines Saturn, you feel like you’re able to get your ideas across. There’s a sense of security knowing your feelings and ideas are all coming together. You’re a creator plucking concepts out of thin air and making magic.

Saturday, June 5 When Mercury squares Neptune, confusion, misunderstandings, deception, and illusion are all possibilities. What aren’t you seeing? You could be getting mixed signals from someone or sending out mixed signals; either one is a recipe for misunderstandings and proverbial crossed wires. Communicate as clearly as possible to avoid any mix-ups. Add the Mars-Pluto opposition to the mix, and it’s a busy day! It could feel like someone is trying to control you or a situation. You may have been experiencing this for a few days now. Encounters may be high octane. Try to walk away from anything that looks explosive. Your response could transform the situation. Moon VoC at 5:47 p.m.

The New Moon Solar Eclipse is at 5:53 a.m. at 19 degrees of Gemini. This Solar Eclipse brings in the energy of Mercury and Neptune. Your feelings and how you go out into the world are in harmony. What do you need to express? Do you feel you’re being heard? You could be beginning a new project or starting a new phase of a relationship. Either way, you’re in love with an idealized version of it. You may want to wait until the fog lifts and you can see both situations and relationships more clearly before you make any big moves. There’s something new starting that could have to do with communicating. It may take a while to get off the ground and running. Moon VoC at 12:38 p.m. and void the rest of the day.

Sunday, June 6

Friday, June 11

Can you feel the homey energy? The Moon is making a lovely sextile to Venus, and they’re in mutual reception. This means that there’s a supportive vibe. Is there someone with whom you would love to snuggle up or connect? Is that someone yourself? This time could also be about making your space more inviting. What would feel nurturing to you? Feel into the day and follow where the road takes you. Moon enters the sign of Taurus at 12:46 a.m.

The Moon moves into the sign of Cancer, breathing a sigh of relief as it settles in for a retreat. You may feel the need for an escape from the world and your troubles. Your moods could be fluctuating, and you don’t know if you’re coming or going. Early in the morning, the Moon made a trine with Jupiter, exaggerating your emotions two-fold. Feelings are close to the surface. You could burst into tears, or just as easily, you could burst into gales of laughter! Mars enters the sign of Leo at 8:34 a.m. Moon enters the sign of Cancer at 2:23 a.m.

Monday, June 7 The Moon’s in earthy, sensual Taurus. You could still be feeling the residual effects of the MoonUranus conjunction, which was in the wee hours, giving you a sense of something feeling off or like you have an itch that needs scratching. The Moon also squared Saturn in the early hours, which could leave a feeling of disconnect and discontent. If you are feeling a little depressed or just “off,” know that by the afternoon all this energy will

Thursday, June 10

Saturday, June 12 Feelings of nurturing and protectiveness may bubble up to the surface with the Cancer Moon. If you sense that someone may feel hurt or is being treated unkindly by another, you’re quick to put a stop to it. The mama or papa bear in you won’t stand for it. You’ve got the inner strength to handle whatever comes your way.

When Saturn squares Uranus, it brings tensions to the surface. You can feel like you’re in a pressure cooker. Ask yourself if there’s something you’re holding onto that’s keeping you from moving forward. Do you want to keep fighting for something that may not even resonate or be true for you anymore? It’s past its expiration date. Let go of what doesn’t serve you anymore or adjust it somehow. It’s not easy to release ideas, relationships, or anything when you’re invested. Saturn is saying that it’s time. It’s not “doom and gloom;” it’s just time to move on.

Tuesday, June 15 In the morning, pay attention to any synchronicities. The Moon-Sun sextile could bring opportunities. Then when the moon is void in the afternoon, finish up any projects that you’ve already begun. The energy of the Mars-Jupiter quincunx is waning. If you felt you were acting but yet had to continually adjust. Or, that something worked for a bit, then you had to adjust, work again…you get the picture…that energy should be lessening. Moon VoC at 12:27 p.m. until 10:02 p.m. when it enters the sign of Virgo.

Wednesday, June 16 You’re in the mood for something different, thrilling and off the beaten path. When the Moon trines Uranus, you crave excitement and the exotic. You may have an unusual encounter with someone who has insights to share that are helpful. Something you’re doing may get recognition.

Thursday, June 17 The Sun quincunx Pluto could bring up problems with control, power struggles, or manipulation, resulting in disagreements. Sounds like fun, right? All of these issues may be handled if you’re in touch with your surroundings and your intuition. Having a little time to yourself to tune in and gather your thoughts could make or break the situation. It’s a chance to see if you want to manage things differently this time around. Growth is not always comfortable, but if you want WWW.CONSCIOUSCOMMUNITYMAGAZINE.COM

to keep moving forward on your journey, it’s on the map. Moon VoC at 10:54 p.m.

Friday, June 18 You bring passion and playfulness to any area, whether you’re working or hanging out with a friend. Getting along with others, while working toward a common goal is easier when the Moon sextiles Mars. Camaraderie makes the partnership fun. If you’re working on your own, the energy is also good for completing projects. You know what needs to be done and are happy to do the work. Moon enters the sign of Libra at 3:54 a.m.

Saturday, June 19 When the Moon squares Venus, you could be going over your finances and making sure everything is in order. You want a comfortable home, a place you can call your sanctuary. It’s important to you that your home is welcoming and cozy, a place that’s tastefully decorated. Getting together with friends and having fun conversations could be on the table. There’s the potential for indulging a little too much with food or drink. You could find yourself going down memory lane, reminiscing about past days and loves. Go ahead and take a detour, but don’t settle in for too long. Be present.

Sunday, June 20 Happy Father’s Day! The Sun enters the sign of Cancer at 10:32 p.m. So, Happy Birthday to all my Cancer friends! In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s the Summer Solstice; it’s the longest day of the year! You could feel energetic and have a spring in your step when the Moon trines Jupiter. You’re generous and want to share what you have with others. A heads up, the Moon squares Mars in the late afternoon so there is the possibility of saying something you shouldn’t. Be mindful of your words. Jupiter retrogrades at 10:06 a.m. Moon VoC at 5:52 a.m. until 6:58 a.m. when it enters the sign of Scorpio.

Monday, June 21 There’s a grand water trine with the Moon in Scorpio, Venus in Cancer and Neptune in Pisces. The Sun having moved yesterday into Cancer and Jupiter in Pisces means half of the planets are in water signs. You could be swimming in a sea of emotions as your psychic antennae picks up the frequencies from all around. This can become overwhelming. It’s good to be compassionate, but it’s exhausting if you don’t have some boundaries in place. This dreamy energy can be great if you need to tap into your imagination for work or play. It’s all flow, so you may not get a lot done. You could be like a cat basking in a sunbeam, soaking it all in.

and the know-how—to express yourself. Neptune retrogrades at 2:21 p.m.

Saturday, June 26 Early in the morning, the Moon conjoined Pluto, followed by the Moon-Venus opposition. All this shines the spotlight on relationships, hinting at feelings rising to the surface. Be open to discussions with your partner. What do you want? Be honest with yourself and others about what you need. Then when the Moon moves into Aquarius, it encourages you to get together with a friend for coffee. Check up on them, see how they’re doing, and enjoy each other’s company. Venus enters the sign of Leo at 11:27 p.m. Moon VoC at 7:49 a.m. until 9:09 a.m. when it enters the sign of Aquarius.

When the Moon quincunxes the Sun, you may feel you’re compromising to appease someone in authority. Or you’re trying to settle a dispute within. Your heart and head each have their agenda and are trying to work together, but sometimes it’s tricky. That being said, the Moon-Jupiter square is fairly optimistic; it will all work out in the end. While the Moon-Mars trine has confidence enough for everyone. Mercury stations direct at 5:00 p.m. Moon VoC at 1:43 a.m. until 7:55 a.m. when it enters the sign of Sagittarius.

Sunday, June 27

Wednesday, June 23

The Moon is void of course in Aquarius until early afternoon. The focus is on partnerships and friendships. It’s not a time to begin anything new but to keep working with someone towards a common goal. When the Moon conjoins Jupiter, you’re feeling quite optimistic and generous. Enjoy it. Moon enters the sign of Pisces at 12:51 p.m.

The Sun and Jupiter are in a lovely trine. When these two get together, it may bring good luck. Trust that everything is flowing to you and that you are looked after. Follow your gut and do what instinctually feels right. Open the door when opportunity knocks. Now, let’s talk about the Venus-Pluto opposition. It may bring some added intensity to your relationships. Underlying issues may rise to the surface; they may be small but irritating. One of you could be trying to exert control over the other. However, this energy will play out—stay open-minded and have honest discussions about how you both feel. It could transform your relationship and make it even stronger. Moon VoC at 9:09 p.m.

Thursday, June 24

Expressing your thoughts and feelings is a little easier when the Moon trines Mercury. There’s a desire to share your ideas, and if it helps someone else, that’s all the better. An idea starts as a seed, but when it’s nurtured it can grow bigger and stronger. Just as important, open your heart and mind to hear what others have to say. Moon VoC at 2:08 p.m.

Monday, June 28

Tuesday, June 29 You’re in the mood to shake things up when the Moon sextiles Uranus. You crave excitement and adventure. You may need a change of scenery. Go for a drive in a new area or explore a park to which you’ve never visited. The Moon-Mercury square could mean that you blurt out whatever you’re feeling or that someone else is telling you how they feel. These two aspects can feel excitable and electric, so follow the energy and see where it takes you.

The Moon enters the sign of Capricorn at 8:05 a.m. with the Full Moon happening at 1:40 p.m. at three degrees of Capricorn. The Full Moon is highlighting your status and your career; you’re being recognized for your achievements. Jupiter is sextile the Moon; this is a time to follow your dreams, your passions in your work, and your home life. Now is the time to release what doesn’t nourish you and make space for the people and circumstances that encourage you and have your back.
