ith school back in session, a busy work schedule and all the intricacies involved with parenting, finding a tutor to fit your child’s diverse needs can be difficult and time consuming. Even still, if you value your child’s education, it’s a step that simply can’t be overlooked. To begin your search, you should first determine the type of tutor you want—private, online, or a tutoring center. Many tutoring centers teach children in small groups, so it’s important to understand how much attention your child needs before making a decision. Also, try to find a tutor whose personality and teaching methods mesh well with your child’s. Of course, cost is a major issue. Most tutors charge anywhere from $20-$160 per hour, however there are cheaper alterna32

Ask your child’s school about special programs that may be available or ask your friends and family about trustworthy college students in the area who may be willing to volunteer or tutor at a discounted price.
