Concordia University of Edmonton is located on Indigenous lands within Treaty No. 6 territory and the homeland of the Métis Nation (District 9). The North Saskatchewan River has been a significant place for the niitsitapi (Blackfoot), denesųłiné (Dene), nakoda isga (Nakoda Sioux), nehiyawak (Cree), nahkawininiwak (Saulteaux), and otipemisiwak (Métis) since time immemorial. We honour and respect the agreements made by our ancestors to live in good relations for as long as the sun shines, the grass grows, and the river flows.

Concordia University of Edmonton was

Welcome to CUE!

Different. born to be

We pride ourselves on offering an education that has high-impact opportunities, tailored pathways, and meaningful, one-on-one relationships. Here at CUE, everyone sees you as a person first and a student second. Within our small but mighty campus, we ensure every student is recognized, supported, and celebrated through mentorship, tailored educational guidance, and a rich and welcoming campus community. Our campus fosters strong relationships, acceptance, and belonging. Here, connections endure long past your days as a student. As you embark on your post-secondary adventure, know that we are here to help and support you every step of the way. We look forward to seeing YOU at CUE!

TIM LOREMAN, PHD, PRESIDENT AND VICE-CHANCELLOR

Here at CUE,

we offer degrees, programs, majors, and minors that match your interests and passions. You have the ability to choose classes that are outside of your faculty. You can learn Greek mythology on Monday before heading to the chemistry lab on Tuesday.

Whether you go big or small, arts or science, global or local, there is no one-size-fits-all learning path for CUE students!

From Fine Arts to Psychology, CUE offers a range of courses and majors for your three- or four-year arts degree. A Bachelor of Arts (BA) is the most versatile degree, laying the foundation for hundreds of possible careers, and providing you the skills to be an informed citizen of the world. With your CUE arts degree, you’ll be ready for a career in business, government, recreation, tech, non-profit, or legal services.

With a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from CUE you will develop disciplinespecific skills and knowledge, as well as transferable skills like teamwork, patience, and communication that are valuable no matter your career path.

With your BSc, you could choose a career in areas like IT, health care, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, food production, environmental protection, energy, or manufacturing.

Management

Every business and industry needs strong independent thinkers with managerial decision-making abilities. With a Bachelor Management degree from CUE, you’ll have the skills to adapt and thrive in virtually any sector—from non-profits and start-ups to government and Fortune 500 companies.

Many management graduates go on to earn professional designations such as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

Others begin careers in finance, marketing, human resources, or other professional roles in the private and public sector.

Some follow their entrepreneurial spirit and launch their own businesses.

Education

CUE’s Bachelor of Education after-degree program prepares you for certification as a teacher in Alberta. As the province continues to grow, so too does the demand for teachers. Our graduates have the highest placement rates for teachers in the province–92% are employed within three months of graduating. Our graduates have great careers in teaching and many go on to pursue further graduate programs to become principals, superintendents, and educational leaders. Beyond teaching, you will learn skills in instruction, planning, program implementation, and leadership that are transferable to other professions.

CUE Your Adventure

Dual Degrees

Can’t decide on just one program?

CUE offers dual degrees to launch your career in exciting ways. Our dual degrees include a Bachelor of Management and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, or receive two Bachelor of Management degrees, one from CUE and one from the Beijing Foreign Studies University in China.

University Learning Outside the Box

At CUE, many pathways are open to help you discover your passion and purpose. We offer a wide range of faculties and programs, providing you with the flexibility to explore courses and choose a minor outside of your registered faculty.

CUE has a program for you!

3-year and 4-year degrees

Our three-year degrees are fully accredited and can be used to enter the workforce, after degree programs, such as our Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Environmental Health, and even some graduate programs (like law). A four-year degree includes an additional year of advanced coursework, offering greater depth and specialization in your field. This degree type typically meets the requirements for most graduate and professional programs.

What is the difference

between a 3-year and a 4-year degree?

A three-year degree with a concentration is a recognized credential in Canada aimed at preparing you for after-degree programs such as our Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Environmental Health, as well as entry-level jobs that require a university education. This degree can also be used to enter some graduate programs.

The four-year degree offers a comprehensive and flexible education. It helps students develop, understand, and communicate knowledge, think critically, and build on these skills. It also prepares them for most graduate programs.

Make your time count

At CUE, you can accelerate your education in unique ways. With a three-year degree in Science or Arts and the after-degree in Education or Environmental Health, you could walk away with two degrees in just five years.

What Will it Cost?

Estimated expenses for domestic undergraduate students are based on an 8-month study period (Fall & Winter) with 5 courses in each semester. Additional fees may apply based on the specific courses you register for, such as science labs and private music lessons.

Check out the breakdown of these costs online:

“How will I pay for my university education?”

University Entrance

* Cost for domestic undergraduate arts, science, management programs. Does not include afterdegree programs or CSA health, dental, legal, or virtual care fees.

+ CUE’s residency fees for double occupancy to single occupancy.

º Based on the Canada Student Loan living allowances for single students who do and do not pay rent.

Check out the breakdown of these costs online at CONCORDIA.AB.CA/TUITION-FEES

By attending university, you’re investing in your future. And we know this comes with a price tag. There are numerous financial resources to make your university education dreams come true. CUE disburses over $2.4M in scholarships and bursaries annually

CUE the future

The future is taking shape at CUE. With a bold vision that redefines what a small university can do, CUE is expanding its campus.

Braaksma Hall, our newest and most advanced academic building, embodies the next chapter in CUE’s evolution. Opened in Fall 2024, the 5770 m² facility houses cutting-edge classrooms, labs, and lecture theatres. From the vibrant, light-filled atrium to the tiered gathering spaces and quiet study nooks, Braaksma is both architecturally striking and environmentally sustainable. This building is one of the most thermally efficient glass-walled buildings in North America. Featuring the first installation of Vacuum Insulated Glass—a system 50% more efficient than standard triple glazing—Braaksma Hall’s smart design reduces carbon emissions by 155 tons annually.

Made possible by a record-breaking gift from the Braaksma family, this building reflects CUE’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and student success.

And there’s more to come. As CUE continues to grow, we’re building for the students who will shape what comes next.
