Concordia University of Edmonton is located on Indigenous lands and territories now called Treaty No. 6 territory and the homeland of the Métis Nation (District 9). The North Saskatchewan River has been a significant place for the niitsitapi (Blackfoot), denesųłiné (Dene), nakoda isga (Nakoda Sioux), nehiyawak (Cree), nahkawininiwak (Saulteaux), and otipemisiwak (Métis) since time immemorial. We honour and respect the agreements made by our ancestors to live in good relations for as long as the sun shines, the grass grows, and the river flows.
Here at CUE, we pride ourselves on offering an education that has high-impact opportunities, tailored pathways, and meaningful, one-on-one relationships. Here at CUE, everyone sees you as a person first and a student second. Within our small but mighty campus, we ensure every student is recognized, supported, and celebrated through mentorship, tailored educational guidance, and a rich and welcoming campus community. Our campus fosters strong relationships, acceptance, and belonging. Here, connections endure long past your days as a student. As you embark on your post-secondary adventure, know that we are here to help and support you every step of the way. We look forward to seeing YOU at CUE!

CUE offers three-year and four-year degrees within the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Arts. A three-year degree provides you with employment opportunities or preparation for after-degree programs such as our Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Environmental Health. The four-year degree provides you with a comprehensive, flexible education to help you develop, understand, and communicate knowledge. A four-year degree is required for most graduate programs.
At CUE, you can accelerate your education in unique ways. With a three year degree in Science or Arts and the after-degree in Education or Environmental Health, you could walk away with two degrees in just five years.
A three-year degree with a concentration is a recognized credential in Canada aimed at preparing you for after-degree programs such as our Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Environmental Health, as well as entry-level jobs that require a university education.
The four-year degree provides students with a comprehensive, flexible education that allows them to develop, understand and communicate knowledge, to think critically, and to build on these abilities. In addition, the four-year degree fully prepares students for most graduate programs.
CUE’s research ecosystem supports researchers, scholars, and artists to advance their respective fields. Through our BMO-Centre for Applied Research and Innovation (BMO-CIAR), we partner with industry and community organizations to support applied research to find practical solutions to existing problems.
The McNeil Centre for Applied Renewable Energy (McNeil C.A.R.E.) at CUE brings together a community of experts and enthusiasts interested in balanced energy systems, with a focus on new energy applications.
CUE offers both undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to immerse themselves in research opportunities and real-life experiences, with one-on-one mentoring by their professor. From fine arts to the natural sciences, we have it all.
Our students gain the hands-on skills they need to be successful through their future studies and careers.
CONCORDIA.AB.CA/RESEARCH
At CUE, we offer opportunities to apply your learning in real-world scenarios. Through our partnerships with business and industry, many of our programs offer work-integrated learning opportunities. Many CUE students go on to accept full-time positions after their placement is complete.
Showcase your research at CARIC (left). Each year, students have the opportunity to showcase their research at the CUE Annual Research and Innovation Conference (CARIC) and network with students, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals.
At CUE, undergraduate students have opportunities to work side-by-side with CUE’s academic researchers. Most post-secondary institutions reserve research only for graduate students, but at CUE, you could work with researchers like Dr. Jenna Congdon who studies ostriches and seals to understand how their brains work.
we offer degrees, programs, majors and minors that match your interests and passions. You have the ability to choose classes that are outside of your faculty. You can learn Greek mythology on Monday before heading to the chemistry lab on Tuesday.
Whether you go big or small, arts or science, global or local, there is no one-size-fits-all learning path for CUE students!
From Fine Arts to Psychology, CUE, offers a range of courses and majors for your three or four year Arts Degree. A Bachelor of Arts (BA) is one of the most versatile degrees, laying the foundation for hundreds of possible careers.
With your CUE Arts degree you’ll be ready for a career in business, government, recreation, tech, non-profit, or legal services.
With a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from CUE, you will develop disciplinespecific skills and knowledge, as well as transferable skills like teamwork, patience, and communication that are valuable no matter your career path.
With your BSc, you could choose a career in areas like IT, health care, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, food production, environmental protection, energy, or manufacturing.
Every business and industry needs strong independent thinkers with managerial decision-making abilities. With a Management Degree from CUE, you’ll have the skills to adapt and thrive in virtually any sector—from non-profits and start-ups, to government and Fortune 500 companies.
Many CUE business graduates pursue careers in the banking and financial sectors, consultancy, human resources, and marketing, while others have followed their entrepreneurial spirit and launched their own venture.
