MUSIC
Develop your skills in choral, vocal, orchestral, band & keyboard music, and lay the groundwork for careers in studio teaching, performance, music therapy, arts administration, and ensemble playing. No audition required.
PHILOSOPHY
Hone your ability to think beyond the ordinary, develop & refine exceptional reasoning and critical thinking skills, and effectively communicate complex ideas through the study of knowledge, truth, ethics, and the nature of existence.
POLITICAL ECONOMY
Study the interaction of politics and economics to analyze the major domestic and international challenges facing Canada and the world today. Excellent training for careers in politics, law, business, and the notfor-profit sector.
PSYCHOLOGY
Delve into the human mind and its relation to learning, behavior, personality, and memory as you develop your research, communication and analytical assessment skills.
PSYCHOLOGY (APPLIED EMPHASIS)
Get practical, applied, and research experience in the field by working at a community agency or organization over the course of your final year. Note: First year psychology students cannot apply for the Applied Emphasis program, but can plan their course sequence accordingly.
RELIGIOUS STUDIES
Take a deeper look at the human condition, examine the meaning of life through the lens of significant eras & cultures, and understand how religion has altered societies & civilizations.
SOCIOLOGY
Gain the skills to critically understand one’s own social location, how social forces shape our lives, and the sources & consequences of inequality.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for admission, applicants must present a minimum admission average of 60% with a passing grade in each of the the following high school course requirements:
English Language Arts 30-1
Four subjects from Group A, B, C, D*
Note: In order to maximize future program and course choices, applicants are encouraged to present a broad range of subjects across Groups A, B, and C.
*Applicants should keep in mind that their chosen program including major, minor, or concentration may contain courses for which there are specific grade 12 prerequisites that must be met in addition to the subjects used for admission.
