Interview with Ms. Linh Vice-Principal of Student Life
Impact: Please tell us about yourself.
I am a Vietnamese American who grew up in Southern California. After completing my bachelor’s degrees in both Education and Theology at Loyola University New Orleans, I went on to earn a master’s in Educational Leadership, including a principal internship at Concordia Shanghai in 2012.
In my younger years, I loved outdoor camping, gymnastics, and volleyball. These days, I find joy in quieter moments—a long, relaxing massage or watching the sunrise by the beach.
My Catholic upbringing has always been a guiding force in my life, shaping the values I live by and the way I teach. Faith continues to anchor me today. My husband and I attend mass together regularly, and we share a deep commitment to giving back through community service. For me, faith is not just personal—it’s about living with purpose and extending compassion outward.
Impact: Why did you choose Thailand for your international career and what do you enjoy most about living here?
I like to say that I didn’t choose Thailand—Thailand chose me. Back in 2003, Ruamrudee International School in Bangkok recruited me to revive its religion program. From that moment on, I fell in love with the country and have made it my home for the past 22 years. The only time I stepped away was for a four-year teaching opportunity in China, during a period of political unrest in Thailand. Otherwise, this country, its culture, and its people have been an enduring part of both my personal and professional journey.
Impact: How has being at Concordian made you a better person and a better teacher?
Concordian’s mission has inspired me to be more intentional in how I live out integrity and compassion, qualities I hope to model for my students every day. Being part of a community of dedicated professionals who truly value education constantly motivates me to be a better educator.
I am also grateful for the trust and freedom Concordian has given me to explore and implement new strategies in the math program. That flexibility not only allowed me to strengthen the

curriculum but also encouraged me to grow as an educator. In many ways, Concordian has shaped me into a more reflective teacher and a more compassionate person.
Impact: Please share more about your role as Vice-Principal of Student Life.
In my role as Vice-Principal of Student Life, I have the privilege of focusing on the parts of school that bring joy, connection, and balance to our students’ lives. Beyond academics, I help oversee programs like community engagement, student government, bonding trips, and student-led clubs. These activities give students a chance to discover who they are outside of the classroom.
What I love most is seeing students step into leadership roles or discover a passion they never knew they had. Whether it’s helping others through a service project, planning a school event, or simply learning to work as a team on a bonding trip, these experiences shape their confidence and character. My hope is that when students look back on their time at Concordian, they will not only remember what they learned in class, but also the friendships, the experiences, and the lessons in resilience and empathy that came from these non-academic moments.
