Navidad Latina

Our goal in this edition is to help you celebrate these special holidays, not only with creativity, hope, joy and care, but also to virtually embrace our community, connecting us emotionally with the rich cultural traditions of our past, and offering hope and love to those in need in the present.

Since this hard time started, I have dedicated my time to this personal project related to my profession. Creating the first interactive magazine for the Latino community in Winnipeg, to give hope to people in their isolation and help prevent the spread of this virus in our community. I try to do my part as a communicator and hope that this can reach all the people in my community. My work is not only as a graphic designer; as an editor I also collect all the information and communicate with my collaborators virtually, trying to follow the protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic. Every day I have seen that many people have been affected by these difficult times. The priority of the Magazine is to work to preserve the safety of the community, with less physical interaction but with hope, information, culture and a space to show us as a strong Latino community in Winnipeg.

Merry Christmas Latino Community! May the magic of these “Holidays of Hope" enlighten us and help us to give our best in 2021.
