Developing Confidence in Dating & Life! Many people find it hard when they have to start dating again, or are dating for the first time. But why? Is it low confidence? Are you emotionally available? An increase in anxiety surrounding the topic of dating will often ensue. A good starting point is to get clear about what it is that you want, and stop sending yourself mixed messages. 18 As a Sports Massage therapist, I find it very rewarding when I see a client, who walked into my treatment room with tension and pain, leave feeling happier and more comfortable. As the therapist, I have to earn the trust and respect of my client, show that I am confident with the chosen path of treatment and prove myself with positive results. I have been fully qualified at Level 4 for a year now, although I have been practising at Level 3 for 2 years. Hands-on experience begins pretty much immediately at the start of your course in Sports Massage and brings confidence to both touch and decision making. As with many professions, you can’t just qualify and get on with it. Most insurance companies require you to gain Continued Professional Development points every year, as part of their terms and conditions. The potential for development is vast. I always know that there are many deeper layers and dimensions to the subject I am reading about. Being a Sports Massage Therapist is a very humbling occupation. The most important part of a sports massage session is communication between the client and therapist. The more information a therapist receives about the injury or issue, the better informed decisions are on what treatment will be most effective. Before treatment, an assessment should be carried out and some basic information discussed; background information on the client; levels of daily activity; occupation; any previous injuries or surgery; current medical health; allergies and finally, why have they come for a sports massage? After an informative chat comes a physical assessment. This pinpoints the problem areas, so treatment is accurate and effective. It is likely to involve physical interaction to test range of motion, strength of muscles, stability or mobility of joints, and pain levels. All this information contributes to the treatment plan.

We will be offering two sessions each Wednesday, from 4.00 to 5.10 and from 5.20 to 6.30 in classroom 147. We have had twenty years experience preparing students for the grammar school system. Every aspect of the revised process is covered. Students are given a thorough understanding of verbal reasoning, multiple choice comprehension, non-verbal reasoning and mathematics. During the programme each student follows a carefully constructed course that emphasises individual needs; there is no group work. Each child has their own programme to follow. Activity sheets are brought home which enable parents to assess the rate of progress being made. Over time, your child’s speed, confidence and competence will be greatly improved. The course director, Roger, has been teaching for more than 35 years and was a local primary head teacher for 10 years.
