The Kitchen Sink Book Club

Wednesday, October 22 | 5:30-7:00 pm Wednesday, November 19 | 5:30-7:00 pm

Our October book will be The Secrets She Keeps by Michael Robotham, a dark, perfect, and twisted page-turner so full of surprises, you’ll find it impossible to put down. The lives of two women, Megan and Agatha, become dangerously entangled in the most spellbinding and intimate of ways, until their secrets are exposed by one shocking act that cannot be undone.

For November, we will read and discuss The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters. A four-year-old Mi’kmaq girl goes missing from the blueberry fields of Maine, sparking a mystery that will haunt the survivors, unravel a family, and remain unsolved for nearly fifty years.

NOTE: Our November meeting will occur on Wednesday, November 19, due to the Thanksgiving holiday

Meet the Crew: Erin, Circulation Desk Clerk

Meet our friendly desk clerk Erin, originally from Turtle Creek, who has been checking out your books for about two and a half years. In her life outside of the library, Erin is busy cheering on and shuttling her daughters Morgan (age 10) and Molly (age 8) to their various activities, along with her husband Nick. Erin enjoys musical theater and being a Girl Scout leader.

As a mom, Erin recommends these picture books: There’s a Monster at the End of This Book, Don’t Let a Unicorn Wear a Tutu, Cookiesaurus Rex, and Never Let a Unicorn Scribble.

Down time might find Erin catching one of her favorite movies: The Birdcage, Troop Beverly Hills, Connie & Carla, and Zoolander. Favorite books include Divine Rivals, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Anxious People, The Book Thief, Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, and The House in the Cerulean Sea

Erin admires Audrey Hepburn, Michelle Obama, and her mom, Debbie Flaherty. T.J. Klune would be the one author she would enjoy meeting if given the opportunity. When she’s traveling in other cities, Erin likes to visit their libraries.

The next time you are in the library, be sure to say to hello to Erin. She’ll be happy to give you a great book recommendation, too!
