JLMC’s Women Making a Difference Community Volunteer Award Winner Announced The 2019 Women Making A Difference luncheon was a resounding success with more than 170 gathered at The Navesink Country Club to celebrate the endeavors of the outstanding women volunteers representing 15 organizations. The sixth annual Junior League of Monmouth County Women Making A Difference Community Volunteer Award winner is Elga Chen-Hill from Fulfill. A grant of $1000 was awarded to Fulfill in honor of her contributions to the community. Elga has been, and continues to be, a tremendous asset to Fulfill assisting in multiple roles and selflessly distributing food with the Fulfill mobile pantry throughout the year. The nominees represented the spirit of volunteerism across Monmouth County: Christine Linton – A Need We Feed, Inc; Rosalind Silletto – Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey; Terri Adelstein – Coastal Habitat for Humanity; Tiffany Senft – Family & Children’s Services; Lauren Holman – HFA CPA’s “HFA Cares”; Amy Broza – Holiday Express; Rebecca Donington – Horizons; Merilee Celestino - Mary’s Place by the Sea; Lynn Reich – Monmouth County Arts Council; Mary Logan (Molly) Foard – Monmouth Day Care Cente; Kathy Jones– Monmouth County Historical Association; Roshan Quigley – The Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide; Liv Peter – Trigger House; and Carolyn DeSena – WEforum. Clean Ocean Action Draws Thousands to the Beaches Nearly 6,000 volunteers gathered on October 26 for NJ's largest volunteer environmental event.
