Columbus Recreation and Parks offer a variety of opportunities for employment in the following sections: Community Centers, Community Relations, Fiscal, Golf, Human Resources, Outdoor Recreation, Parks, Planning and Design, Recreation, Rental Services, Sports and Special Events. These opportunities are full-time and part-time, and some can even serve as seasonal jobs for youth.
This comprehensive workforce development program for youth ages 14-23 provides paid practical work experience, training and career pathways with the City of Columbus and local business community. In addition to gaining real-life job experience, you’ll participate in training around resumé writing, interviewing, cultural awareness,
leadership, personal branding, financial literacy and more. Because work and life affect each other, coaches provide service linkage and coaching as needed to help families. You’ll leave the program prepared to get, keep and excel in the workplace! The program is open to youth/families who live in the City of Columbus or pay Columbus taxes.
Apply online to the Recreation Parks Aide position in February 2025; interviews begin in March 2025.
