The Associate Dean advises the Dean of and on faculty issues such as faculty relations, staffing needs, hiring processes,orientation, and overload management. The Associate Dean helps address student concerns and is expected to actively participate in campus activities and community functions. Minimum Qualifications: This position requires an earned doctorate and 3-5 years of higher education teaching experience in a tenure-track position. Previous experience in higher education leadership/administration as Division Coordinator, Program Chair, Director, or other administrative role is preferred. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate skill in initiating and implementing strategic planning activities in addition to excellent problemsolving, communication (verbal and written), and human relations skills. The candidate must have a student-centered philosophy and a commitment to teaching excellence and the mission of the regional campus.
