Health Insurance
Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance
Full-time employees that work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance on their first day of hire.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Columbus Academy provides an EAP that is paid 100% by the school. This service is available to all employees whether full-time or part-time. EAP offers services to promote well-being and enhance the quality of life for employees and their families.
Life/AD&D Insurance
All benefits eligible employees receive an employer paid $100,000 life insurance benefit at no cost to employees. Employees are also able to purchase voluntary supplemental life insurance.
Retirement
Retirement Benefits (TIAA)
According to the terms of their employment, employees are eligible to participate in a non-matching or matching 403(b) TIAA retirement plan.
Tuition Remission & After-School Care
Partial Tuition Remission for Children of Employees
It is Columbus Academy’s intention that qualified children of its employees should be able to attend the school without significant financial hardship to the employee.
Children’s After School Experience (CASE)
Staff members who regularly have 30-hour per week assignments are eligible for CASE until 6:00 p.m., free of charge.
Tuition Reimbursement
Columbus Academy strongly endorses the continuing education of its employees and has funds budgeted to help pay college and university tuition costs.

Professional Development Opportunities
Columbus Academy offers a variety of options that encourage participation and leadership. Employees are also encouraged to attend external opportunities and obtain certification, including but not limited to courses, conferences, seminars, professional association memberships and more.
Faculty and Staff Affinity Groups
Managed by our Office of Diversity and Community Life, CA Common Ground is an affinity space for underrepresented racial and ethnic identities fostering deeper connection and joyful camaraderie through shared experiences. Other faculty/staff organized groups include LGBTQIA and Black faculty, both of which meet on occassion for support and social gatherings.
On-Campus Benefits
Gourmet lunch is provided free of charge in our dining hall, along with free parking and access to our on-campus fitness center.
