Empty Bowls 2024
Our student-run Service Board hosted its annual Empty Bowls/Soup for Shelter event in December and raised just under $7,000 to benefit the Westerville Habitat Partnership! Included with each $20 ticket to the event was a bottomless bowl of soup, crackers, cookies and a drink along with a choice of a handmade bowl from Academy’s ceramics students. Special thanks to the Westerville Senior Center for hosting this year, North High Brewery for donating the soup and our SAGE dining service for providing cookies. Also, shoutouts to Christy Bening, Charity White, all the members of our Service Board and bowl-a-thon participants who helped make this event a success!

Fall, Winter and Spring Concerts
Renovations to Schoedinger Theatre at Columbus Academy were completed in the fall of 2019 after the initial plan to update the facility was announced in September 2018 by Head of School Melissa Soderberg.
Schoedinger Theatre now features a balcony which helped increase overall seating capacity to around 550 (about 100 more seats than the original theatre), all new seats throughout, and improved lighting and sound, complete with acoustical panels.
