As an active outdoor brand, we have always created versatile products to fit a wide audience – from people wanting to freshen up their urban wardrobe, to hardcore snowsports athletes. Jacob is a freestyle skier from Stockholm, but early on plied his trade on the slopes of à re, the inspiration for our black elevation print. Jacob lives for the outdoors and spends his winters finding new lines in the mountains, spends his summers chasing the surf in his van.
KJERSTI BUAAS Kjersti Buaas is a professional snowboarder and four-time Olympian, from Trondheim, Norway. Kjersti is not only an influential member of the WearColour family, with her own three-layer jacket (KJ Jacket), but also an inspirational with; she has a positive and calm attitude and really is a figure for many people to look up to.
18 22 ED LEIGH Ed Leigh is a man of many talents, including air guitar. For many, especially in the UK, he is the voice of snowsports, but for us, he is an inspiration. Ed and his family live incredibly active lifestyles; from the mountains to the forests, they never rest and take everything in their stride.

Mario Kaeppeli lives for the mountains! Mario leads by example and his canvas is the mountains. He spends his days in the mountains; a snowboard pro and mountaneer guide, and is always on the snow, whether grooming the park or taking a splitboard to the top of an unridden peak. His love and foremost respect for mother nature is refreshing.

SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH DESIGN As a brand that wants to see snow every winter, sustainability is our goal. We focus on sustainable fabrics and production methods. Our designs are simple and maximise the effective use of our fabrics to minimise waste. We create garments that are durable, easy to repair, free from toxic chemicals, and incorporate the use of recycled fabrics.
COLOUR PALETTE ADVENTURE The shades and colours of nature around us are not only motivating and the backdrop of our playground, but also are a great source of inspiration. MONOCHROME Tonal colours with bright pops create an exciting palette. Cracking ice, almost black in its blue nuance to lush green hues of the forest just as the sun rises. Misty mountain mornings with the sun rising over the horizon creating a greyscale that pops with a glowing orange. Vibrant red and orange shades of the last light on the mountainside to the shades of purple from early mornings over a secluded mountain range. RETRO FLASHBACK The 80s and 90s are continuing to influence our TV screens and fashion scene. Bright and bold colours, graphical blocks, cuts, and details create a flash from the past of the glam and fun of the 80s.

GET TO KNOW JACOB WESTER WHAT INSPIRES YOU? It depends on what I am doing. If I’m skiing, I get most of my inspiration just from looking at mountains. I never get tired of it, looking at possible and impossible lines, thinking about how the snow would feel under my feet, how steep it is, what to do if I would arrive at a dead-end, and all these things. It’s a constant puzzle I’m trying to solve. And there’s nothing like skiing down something you have set your eyes on, and realizing that you did a good job of evaluating it. That’s when I feel truly powerful and get reminded why I’m doing these things. Outside of skiing, music is a constant source of inspiration. I am very lyrics-driven, emotionally rich lyrics especially. When a song puts words on a subtle feeling, something I had thought of but didn’t know how to approach it, I start smiling instantly, and that’s when my brain really starts working. Life without poetry would not be worth living. WHAT MOTIVATES YOU? Mostly self-improvement. Every day in the mountains or in the surf I am driven by a constant urge to become better than the day before. It could mean another 100 meters of climbing, a grab tweaked in a new way or another second spent inside of a barreling wave. I never want to stop learning new things, even in the areas I am the best at. WHAT ARE THE TOP 3 THINGS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST? In no particular order: Ski or surf under the Northern lights. Shape my own surfboard and catch a 10 second tube. Living in a house at the foot of the mountains by the coast with my girlfriend and a dog for at least one year without traveling.

I want the illustration on my signature wear to represent nature & adventure, as this is a big part of my life and whom I am. I worked with the whistler based artist Kate Zessel and picked Lofoten Islands up in Northern Norway to be my inspiration. The intention of the words is to remind ourselves to channel the PRSNT moment, the only moment that actually exists.

GET TO KNOW KJERSTI BUAAS WHAT INSPIRES YOU? I am fascinated by small children because they are naturally very curious, playful and free. They are masters of letting them selfs be totally immersed in the present moment. To get lost and fascinated by the simple things. Nature is another constant inspiration to me. If I am seeking answers to something, I swear I can always find it in the natural world. Nature helps me understand the difference between emotional and spiritual happiness and that the latter, who comes from within, is accessible to me at all times. When I go on a run in the forest, a ride in the trees or a swim in the ocean, I feel the most connected to myself and everything around me. WHAT MOTIVATES YOU? That I know nothing but everything! WHAT ARE THE TOP 3 THINGS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST? Buy a piece of land so I can practice growing my own food and live more sustainable. Dive deeper into the world of meditation and become a certified meditation guide. Write a book or create a film project focusing on the environment, health and how we can all be a part of the solution.

Seeing beautiful mountains! i think i could go on and on on my splitboard and just being stoked on looking at the mountains and thinking about how to ride down or climbing up. I also love seeing my kids learn, some of my best days on the mountain have been watching my kids progress, their trust, determination and joy is so infectious. Do YOU HAVE A MOTTO OR MANTRA YOU LIVE AFTER? ‘It’s not going to suck itself ’, it’s a crude way of saying somebodies got to do it and if no one else is going to then I’ll do it.
