We are committed to artistic excellence and ensuring a future for live, symphonic music. Your Colorado Symphony performs more than 150 concerts annually at Boettcher Concert Hall in downtown Denver and across Colorado. Home to eighty full-time musicians representing more than a dozen nations, we regularly welcome celebrated artists from the world of symphonic music and beyond. Every season, we serve more than 230,000 people from all walks of life, performing a range of musical styles, from traditional to contemporary. Recognized as an incubator of innovation, creativity, and excellence, your Colorado Symphony continually expands its reach through education, outreach, and performance.

GET INVOLVED Our Board of Trustees are asked not only to be advocates and supporters of the Colorado Symphony and its mission, but also asked to support the financial workings of the organization. The current Board of Trustees are tasked with contributing, directly or indirectly, $15,000 or more, each annually to the organization.

There are also positions available on Board Committees for community leaders that wish to provide their time and expertise.

BOARD COMMITTEES ■ Advancement comprised of Board and community committee members. Ensures philanthropic support for the Colorado Symphony’s mission by introducing new patrons and engaging existing supporters with the Symphony’s case for support.

■ Artistic Oversees all determinations and actions regarding the choice of programming, repertory, and related matters. Compromises of 9-Musician Trustees, 1-Trustee, CEO, and Music Director.

E N D O W M E N T All contributions to our Endowment at the Symphony Fund received prior to June 30, 2020 will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $25 million! Endowing chairs in support of musicians and Symphony artistic leadership is a great way to take advantage of this timelimited match and make a transformational impact.

I R A Are you 70.5 years or older? You can take advantage of this simple way to give and receive tax benefits in return. You may give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to the Colorado Symphony without having to pay income tax on the gift.

THE HORACE TUREMAN LEGACY SOCIETY The Horace Tureman Legacy Society was established to recognize the exceptional group of individuals who have pledged future support for the Colorado Symphony through their wills or other planned gifts.

Horace Elder Tureman was conductor of Denver’s Civic Symphony Orchestra, which became the Denver Symphony Orchestra – the predecessor of the Colorado Symphony. Tureman, who studied with Debussy, led the orchestra from 1922-1944, playing a formative role in establishing the cultural scene present today across Colorado. Members of the Horace Tureman Society receive special recognition and the opportunity to become involved in the ongoing life of the Colorado Symphony through special events.

When you include the Colorado Symphony Association or The Symphony Fund in your will, we appreciate receiving notice of your decision. This provides us with the opportunity to acknowledge your bequest intention and invite you to join the Horace Tureman Legacy Society so that you can enjoy its lifetime membership benefits. If desired, Colorado Symphony representatives are available to meet with you and your advisors to assist in your charitable gift planning goals. All inquiries will be held in strict confidence.
