BIOGRAPHY:

Nicholas Gledhill is a Grand Junction native and has served as the horn instructor at Colorado Mesa University since 2021. Since his start, the horn studio has nearly tripled in size and continues to show growth. Prior to his return to Colorado, Dr. Gledhill was an instructional assistant at the University of Alabama. He is co-principal horn of the Grand Junction Symphony orchestra, and previously held the position of 3rd horn with the Starkville Symphony in Starkville, Mississippi. In addition to his performing and teaching duties with CMU and the GJSO, he also is the middle school band director at Holy Family Catholic School in Grand Junction. Dr. Gledhill spends his summers as Program Coordinator at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan, a multi-faceted summer camp and music festival for middle and high schoolers, college students, and adult amateurs. While there, he acts as Assistant Principal Horn for the Blue Lake Festival Orchestra and Band. Dr. Gledhill holds degrees from The University of Alabama (DMA), Colorado State University (MM), and Colorado Mesa University (BM).
