WELCOME

to the 2024-2025

performing arts season at Colorado Mesa University.

This is a special season at CMU. With the opening of the state-of-the-art Asteria Theatre, we usher in a new era of arts, culture and entertainment.

This project involved more than 900 construction workers and depended on the support of hundreds of donors and supporters. The Asteria Theatre is like nothing else on the West Slope and establishes Grand Junction as a regional cultural destination. We look forward to not only continuing to celebrate emerging talent in our students but also bringing world-class professional entertainment to the region — from theatre and comedians to civic dialogue and musical acts of all genres.

The word Asteria is Greek for the stars. For millennia the stars have united humanity in wonder and awe. But we need not always look up to the sky for inspiration. At CMU, the Asteria Theatre brings the stars to the stage.

Look up, look

ahead

and enjoy the 2024-25 CMU Stages season!
