people and quickly befriended everyone he met. Pshhhh...he was the life of the party! Racing to the finish line a little earlier than anticipated, #78 - Daytona Dana - will no doubt race around heaven leaving rubber on the shiny white pearl roads as he takes the turns as fast as he can “around the outside”. The air may be a little thinner there, but that won’t stop him from tuning his carb and outrunning the best of the best. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Crocker Residence, 14121 Country Hills Drive, Brighton, CO on Sunday, July 18th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

He received several awards, published articles, and as an adjunct professor taught in the education departments of 4 different institutions of higher learning in Colorado, Illinois, and Florida.

Newton is survived by his wife, Suzanne. They were Greenville College sweethearts and married in 1960. Surviving are three children, Bryan of Stuttgart, Arkansas and wife Lucretia; Jeffrey Fink of Boerne, Texas and wife Jeanette; and Michelle Wright of San Luis Obispo, CA and husband, Eric, and 10 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Bryan Jr., Lauren, Theodore, Evan, Alex, Landon, Quinn, Jenson, and Jocelyn, and 3 great-grandchildren, Elowyn, Sage and Finley.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dana’s honor to his favorite non-profit, Sparkling Kindness that helps those in need and sheds light on any darkness with a motto of “We rise by lifting others” just as Dana has done all through his life. www.sparklingkindness.org Venmo: @sparkling-kindness
