The all so important Colorado Gives Day is just around the corner and folks are already signing up to donate to their chosen non-profits. Beginning in 2010, the event has become one of the most significant occasions across the entire state of Colorado. This program was created and is managed by the Community First Foundation to encourage charitable giving that impacts and hopefully improves the donor’s home community. The intention remains that residents are encouraged to support non-profits with one effort by visiting coloradogives.org. One can give to a single charity or many, and receive a single receipt in return for their generosity. After that, the money is put to good use as the individual non-profits utilize their gain.

The common goal here is to strengthen the local community by means of a convenient, yet powerful one-stop shopping experience. Although the official date is December 7th, there is no need to wait, as donors can begin scheduling gifts as early as November 1. Community First Foundation has been reaching
out to donors and the various pioneering Colorado non-profits since 1975. It is considered a community foundation which addresses needs of Jefferson County along with those of the rest of the state. The foundation is committed to pursuing ideas, people and their resources with the intention of helping Jeffco thrive. The bottom line is that donors with philanthropic efforts can make a huge difference with grants and resources, together building communities that can be resilient and connected. Community First believes that such doings are the backbone of a sturdy community, and that civic expression and social justice are imperative to strengthen the place we all consider home.
