If mountain area art lovers will long remember last summer in lonesome shades of gray, they’ll be glad to see that the Evergreen Artists Association and Center for the Arts Evergreen are blending their talents to paint the Summer of 2021 in vivid colors of creativity, variety and community. A baker’s week of beauty begins on the weekend of Aug. 28 as the Evergreen Artists Association (EAA) hosts its 55th Annual Evergreen Fine Arts Festival. Nearly 100 artists from across the nation, the state, and our own pine-clad hills will display their best upon the green grass of Buchanan Field, many of them familiar faces returning to test their creative mettle in a juried event that’s gained impressive national ranking. The free, family-friendly fest will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 28 and 29, and feature peerless works in wood and watercolor, fabric and glass, metal and stone. Folks not yet acquainted with fine art’s infinite forms will find the festival a perfect opportunity
