Residents followed the ducks as they floated down Plum Creek on June 11. It was a hot day June 11 and close to 9,000 rubber duckies cooled off with a float down Plum Creek. The 20th annual Ducky Derby and Street Festival, hosted by the three Rotary clubs of Castle Rock and Castle Pines, raised funds for the Douglas/ Elbert Task Force, Castle Rock Senior Center, The Family Women’s Crisis Center and Wellspring. More than $50,000 was raised this year. Rotary will also fund student scholarships, youth leadership training and Boy Scouts of America projects.
