(hereinafter called the “Owner”) will receive sealed Bids for the Sterling Ranch – Providence Village Recreation Center (collectively the “Project”) at Redland located at 1500 West Canal Court, Littleton, CO 80120 until 12:30 P.M., March 1, 2019. Bids and Settlements

A description of the Work to be performed is: Sterling Ranch Providence Village Commercial Recreation Center Improvements located in Douglas County, Colorado. This work will consist of construction and erection of a 6000 SQ FT recreation center (4900 sq ft finished) and adjacent foundation excavation and backfill improvements within 5 feet of the building. The structure consists of 2 stories-heated, wood frame, elevator, warming kitchen only, and changing room. This contract will not include pool facilities, landscape, additional grading, or utility work. Bidders shall bid on all of this project scope as further defined in the construction documents. The contract will be awarded in whole for the areas of construction described above. Bid packages will be available for download the day of advertisement on February 7, 2019 at the following link: https://redland.box.com/s/lhtg8jo2vwvakc8kp3o hu6e7gbbsbxu0 Plan holders are required to notify Wade LePlatt and Alec Garbini via email and phone that they are plan holders, no later than four (4) days prior to bid submissions, in order to receive notification of bid addenda. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of bid addenda on the designated form with their bid submission or their bid will be automatically disqualified. A pre-bid conference will not be held. Bids shall be made on the bid forms furnished by the Owner and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope and endorsed with the name of the Bidder along with an electronic Excel copy on disk or thumb drive. A Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid amount will be required. The Bid Bond will be retained by Owner as liquidated damages should the Successful Bidder fail to enter into a Contract with the Owner in accordance with the Bid. Bidders must supply a list of Subcontractors. Attention is called to the fact that Bidders offer to assume the obligations and liabilities imposed by the Contract Documents. The Successful Bidder for the Project will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond and a Warranty Bond of the full amount (100%) of the Agreement Price, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. Bidders are hereby advised that the Owner reserves the right to not award a Contract until sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of the Bids, and Bidders expressly agree to keep their Bids open for the sixty (60) day time period. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality, technicality or irregularity in any Bid, to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, conditional or alternate Bids, to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder, to require statements or evidence of Bidders’ qualifications, including financial statements, and to accept the proposal that is in the opinion of the Owner in its best interest. Owner reserves the right to accept any combination of Bids which in Owner’s sole, and absolute judgment will, under all circumstances, best serve the Owner’s interests. The Town shall issue a written addendum if substantial changes which impact the technical submission of Bids are required. Plan Holders are responsible for either revisiting website prior to the due date or contacting the Public Works Department at (303.840.9546) to ensure that they have any addenda which may have been issued after the initial download. The Plan Holder shall certify its acknowledgment of the addendum by signing the addendum and returning it with its Bid. In the event of conflict with the original contract documents, addenda shall govern all other contract documents to the extent specified. Subsequent addenda shall govern over prior addenda only to the extent specified. The extent of the work is approximately as follows: This contract consists of but not limited to placing approximately 64,000 square yards of Type 1 cover coat material with fog seal, 489,000 square yards of Type II slurry seal, concrete removal and replacement including all associated traffic control and replacement pavement markings. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of fortyfive (45) days after the time fixed for closing them. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, to waive technical defects accordingly as the best interest of the Town may be served, may reject any and all bids, and shall award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the Owner.
