The two finalists to be Douglas County Schools’ next superintendent have held their first public interviews covering a range of topics, including hotly debated issues such as school

vouchers, arming teachers and political polarization in the community. The school board named charter school Executive Director Erin Kane from American Academy and a district Executive Director of Schools Danny Winsor as its two finalists for superin-

Citizens Academy program graduates 13 students Metro district hosts 7-week program STAFF REPORT

began recording work sessions, and the City of Lone Tree now records its regular meetings. In these meetings, city councils and county commissioners often make decisions about the use of tax dollars, policies and resolutions.

The Highlands Ranch Metro District had 13 Highlands Ranch Citizens Academy participants graduate from the community engagement program on Feb. 22. The graduation ceremony was held at the Highlands Ranch Mansion. The 13 graduates attended seven sessions throughout January and February 2022, learning about how Highlands Ranch operates, current local issues, and opportunities to get involved and engaged in the community.
