Engerman elected mayor in Castle Pines

After the final votes were tallied, Tracy Engerman emerged as the new mayor of Castle Pines, beating out incumbent Mayor Tera Radloff and challenger David McEntire. Residents were notified of the results on Nov. 12 after Douglas County finished counting all ballots. According to the announcement, voter turnout was over 55% in Castle Pines, with the state average being 36.6%. Overall Douglas County voter turnout was 40%. Engerman, who said she chose “courage of over comfort,” opted Engerman not to seek re-election in District 3, instead deciding to run for the city’s top seat. In her campaign, Engerman said, “We need a Castle Pines mayor and leader that will fight for the needs of our community, collaborate with local partners, and communicate the city’s plans and its successes to the residents.” In District 3, Engerman’s term has not expired.
