POLLACK FROM PAGE 16
A procession for Pollack began at the Douglas County Fairgrounds and then traveled to the church,
ments by local symphonic organizations: Littleton Symphony, Arapahoe Philharmonic, Lone Tree Symphony, Parker Symphony, Englewood Arts Presents, and for news of these organizations as they work with children ... I’d love to see more interchange among these organizations as we start a new year, with new rules ... all could benefit. Area colleges and universities add strength to the arts scene as well, and I hope more area folks will discover the really lovely Colorado Gallery of the Arts at Arapahoe Community College, and I hope, some music programming open again to the community, eventually ... Littleton’s newly-formed Arts and Culture Commission has completed a strategic
plan and connected with arts organizations. Lone Tree has an Arts Commission. Englewood Arts Presents connects with education projects in the schools especially well. Each community follows a different path. We hope to gain better understanding of other south area organizations with parallel functions and wonder about possibilities for exchange of ideas and services ... We are so fortunate to have the number of arts venues available in the area and hope readers access and enjoy them for visual and performing arts and educational opportunities.

ASSAULTS FROM PAGE 1
Long was arrested by sheriff’s deputies in September. He has ties in Colorado, Kansas, Wyoming and Montana, according to the release. Investigators believe he may have committed multiple sex-assault crimes in those states and possibly others, due to his access to families through his work, according to the release. His occupations included volunteer firefighter, tow truck driver, truck dispatcher and over-the-road truck driver, according to the news release and Deputy John Bartmann, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office. He allegedly committed some of the crimes within Arapahoe County, according to Bartmann. Investigators say their child sex assault cases with Long date back to 2001, but they believe his alleged crimes may have started before that, the release said. If you believe you may have been a victim of Long, know someone who may have been or have any information about him, the sheriff’s office asks you to contact Investigator Andrew Fehringer at 720-8744065 or afehringer@arapahoegov.com. Long was in the Arapahoe County jail being held in lieu of $1 million bond as of press time.
