Big Cat works with a range of charities and organisations for expert perspectives on a range of themes.

The LimbBo Foundation

Jane Hewitt, Trustee of the LimbBo Foundation, reviewed the artwork depicting limb difference in both Dan Pats Nim and Bodies Can Do Anything! Jane’s guidance and input was invaluable to ensuring that limb different children can see themselves d we are very grateful to her

Down's Syndrome Research Foundation

It's so lovely for our limb different children to see themselves represented in a book and doing the same things as all the other children there We work hard to raise awareness of limb difference and we are grateful to Collins for helping us to normalise what it's like to live with a limb difference

Jane Hewitt, Trustee of the LimbBo Foundation

Elizabeth Corcoran, chair of the Down’s Syndrome Research Foundation UK, reviewed the character depiction of Stella in Stella and the Dragon. Her feedback, alongside insights from others at the Foundation who reviewed the book, was incredibly informative and enhanced our understanding.

It is exciting to read the unfolding story about Stella and the Dragon as the children enjoy and embrace their imagination. The fact that Stella also has Down's syndrome will also gently speak of the commonality that lies within all of our experiences Well done Big Cat books!

Elizabeth Corcoran, Chair of the Down's Syndrome Research Foundation

The Little Princess Trust

Wendy Tarplee-Morris, founder of The Little Princess Trust, provided invaluable feedback on Dreena’s Hair, which fed directly into the development of the book From commenting on the book’s early manuscript, to reviewing the final artwork, Wendy advised on various stages of development, helping to shape the final book

Support Dogs

Dreena's Hair addresses the sensitive issue of hair loss with great care while also showing the importance of our free wig provision and the support and kindness of friends It was a pleasure to be involved in this project and see the book take shape, and I am sure it is a great help to many young people who have lost their own hair or seen a friend or relative experience hair loss

Support Dogs were key to the development of Dogs that Help In addition to reviewing the book’s text and images, Support Dogs provided their own photographs to include in the book so that we could authentically show the variety of ways in which assistance dogs support people

We have also worked with...

We were delighted to work with HarperCollins and have the opportunity to help educate and increase some understanding of our cause to younger readers and their families It was a really enjoyable process
