It is going to an autumn/winter decidedly focused on cocooning, enveloped and wrapped in warm, soft, comfortable materials, from the yarns to fabrics, such as princely velvets, borrowed from the wardrobe of an English gentleman to reconfirm a typically British mood. Tweed, Prince of Wales check, tartan, herringbone in increasingly unexpected shapes and styles as dictated by the new wave of international fashion designers. Very interesting shades of green and purple appear in the colour palette alongside forest tones while in the air there is a hint of Victorian inspired romanticism, symbolic of the imminent arrival of a new chastity.
