About the Award:
The NTNU DD Awards is an annual exhibition organized by our department, where the key visual is created by student submissions and voted on by the students.
Concept
The key visual is inspired by the appearance of a diamond, with the theme centered around its radiant crystalline structure.
The ever-changing forms symbolize the adaptability of the students in design department, are like water, while the endless stream of creativity allows us to shine brightly in a crowd, just like a dazzling diamond.

FLowing Font
Flowing Font is an elegant yet sharp vintage serif typeface, inspired by the flowing rhythm of ribbons.
Each stroke is designed with a full-bodied, bold center, resembling the wide parts of a ribbon in motion. The ends are sharply curved upward, capturing the sensation of a ribbon’s tail flicking upward.
Inspirations and Sketches
When initially brainstorming, I focused on words like flow, ripple, and rhythm to shape the appearance of the typeface.
The goal was to make the font feel smooth, like a ribbon, providing a comfortable reading experience while still achieving an artistic effect. Therefore, during the sketching phase, the lines were drawn with a softer and fuller feel, featuring a wide middle section and sharp, airy ends.

CIS Design - Burger OOH
Burger ooh is an American-style burger brand known for its handcrafted buns, freshly baked daily. Their special recipe includes diced onions in the dough and grilled onion sauce on top, giving the burger a richer aroma and texture. One bite will leave you saying, "ooh! This burger is so delicious!"
Design Concept
The design inspiration comes from the combination of onions and burger buns. The round shape of the bun paired with the sharp symbol of the onion highlights the restaurant's signature "Onion Burger." After finishing the meal with a satisfying burp, it leaves you craving more.

Brand Mascot - Burger Buddy
Burger Buddy is a burger-loving young man and the head chef at Burger ooh. He’s responsible for making the freshest and most delicious onion burger buns every day. As the master of quality control and the store's lucky charm, he ensures every burger is perfect.

A and B are the primary and secondary logos.
C and D are the vertical versions.
E is the English version of the logo and the Chinese logotype.
逃 Escape
This is a story centered around the theme of "escape." From the moment the protagonist became conscious, he has been running, though he has long forgotten what he's fleeing from. Along the way, he encounters various characters, enters different worlds, and contemplates the meaning of existence.
Inspirations and Sketches
About the Character
The story is set in a hyper-futuristic universe where all species have transcended physical forms, living purely as souls. In designing the characters, I chose not to give the protagonist a distinct appearance. Instead, I depicted them as a simple white mass with melancholic eyes, symbolizing the essence of a soul.
The Meaning of Story
The story concludes with the protagonist finding a message in a bottle on the shore. The note inside, seemingly from a parallel universe, reads: "Are you running away too?"
The protagonist suddenly realizes that everything in the world is in a constant cycle of repetition and reincarnation. Everything is in a state of pursuit and escape, and through this process, experiences wounds and death.
Life is a barren wasteland; you might be forever running, you might never fully recover. However, when we accept that life involves wounds and failures, we can find moments relief and tranquility.
The moral of this story is that life is a constant cycle of chasing and fleeing. Whether we're pursuing hope or running from fear, the meaning we give to these pursuits is entirely our own.
This is a dystopian tale, serving as a metaphor for how people often spend their lives blindly chasing or escaping, only to end up with nothing in the end.

This is a A5 magazine introducing everthing about the color green. It delves into the history and stories behind this hue, further expanding into various color narratives associated with green.

Character - Rebel Star
Animation - Night Forest
Animation - My world
This character draws inspiration from my teenage years, showcasing a unique personality and rebellious spirit through tattoos, ear piercings, and dyed hair. Both the expressions and details reflect my memories and emotions from that period, aiming to evoke a sense of nostalgia and resonance with others' own youthful experiences.

Modeling Process
During the modeling process, due to the complexity of the model, I tried various methods to construct the main body. Eventually, I used a method of stacking basic shapes and then refining with sculpting.
For the clothing wrinkles, I initially used CLO for garment design but found the folds were not natural enough. I then switched to Blender’s built-in cloth simulator and manually added wrinkles to achieve a more realistic effect.
Night Forest
This animation depicts a forest party, focusing on a group of cute animals gathered for a mysterious plan. The modeling and rendering, done in Blender, combine characters, scenes, lighting, and rendering adjustments to create a tranquil yet warm nighttime forest atmosphere.
3D Trailor！
My World
This animation, inspired by "The Truman Show," is a dystopian piece. It follows three characters whose ordinary lives are disrupted by inexplicable events. They eventually discover their world is just a dollhouse, surrounded by a larger human world and a vast sky, yet they remain trapped in ignorance.
