Poem – Sixth Grade

The beautiful things

When a day is beautiful

the birds sing and the day twinkles,

so, I know I am grateful

because my eyes start to tinkle.

I smell the flowers

with a sweet smell,

and I fell the powers

that makes me feel well.

The sun and the moon bright

when I close my eyes,

I can always see a light

when a bird flies.

My blue eyes

By Nicolás Emanuel Hernández Arriaga –Second Place – Sixth Grade

My eyes are blue,

they look like the sky,

every time they look through

they remember how high I can fly.

My eyes are blue,

sometimes they cry,

remembering something that is true

that my diamonds always dignify.

Summer

By Valentina Dubón Corado – Third Place – Sixth Grade

Summer is beautiful

and is the time where you can be,

with your family enjoying the pool,

because I love to relax with a lot of heat.

I also like a bit of quiet

and also like my feet on sand,

hearing the waves come and go in disquiet

waching the sun going down like a planned.
