GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS Colegio Nueva Granada is a private, co-educational day school founded in 1938 to provide students (K4 - 12) with a U.S.oriented, college-preparator y education. CNG is accredited by Cognia/AdvancED and the Colombian Ministr y of Education. The school year begins in August then ends in June and this year’s enrollment was 1646. The student body is international consisting of 45% Colombian, 16% U.S., 15% dual (U.S.-Colombian), 15% dual (Other-Colombian) and 9% from other countries. There are a total of 49 nationalities at CNG. All classes are taught in English except Colombian social studies, Spanish, French, and Mandarin. The average class size in high school is 11, and the maximum class size is 23 by policy. CNG does not provide class rank. HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT BODY Currently, there are 419 students enrolled in the high school, the Sophomore class 100, and the Freshman class 104. Both the U.S. High School and the Colombian Bachillerato program School diploma. Additionally, eighty three percent (83%) of the Class of 2022 received a Colombian Bachillerato diploma.
