of this family behave as they do, and to accept the inevitability of their tragedy.32 As for the merits of the New York production, critic Emory Lewis of Cue magazine stated: The drama is in~nsely helped by the sensitive, subtle direction of Lloyd Richards, and by the sturdy performances of Raul Julia, Lucy Boscana, Jose Perez, Carla Pinza, and, most notably, Miriam Co16n.
