COCA’s more than 200 teaching artists are highly qualified in their fields, having professional experience in their art forms and a depth of teaching expertise.
Live accompanists create a genuine connection for dancers between movement and music and add depth to the instructional experience. Live accompanists are used in many intermediate and advanced classes.
An Accrediting Commission for Community and Precollegiate Arts Schools (ACCPAS) and National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD) Accredited School. Students registering for three or more full-semester classes are eligible for a discount.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
COCA offers need-based financial assistance. The next application period will begin APR 1, 2019. This application period will cover 2019 Summer Arts Camps, 2019 Summer Classes, 2019 Fall semester and 2020 Winter/Spring semester. Visit cocastl.org for information.

4-WEEK CLASS KITCHEN IMPROV
21 & up Improvisation is the act of creating something unplanned—requiring imagination, spontaneity and creativity whether you’re on stage or in the kitchen. In this hands-on workshop, we practice theatre games and exercises with improv extraordinaire Ed Reggi. Then, under the direction of Chef Robin Wheeler, we apply the art of improv to culinary techniques and flavor profiles in order to expand our ability to create something amazing in the moment.
