Carpinteria Junior Warriors left their hearts on the field last Saturday, when the three youth football teams took on the Santa Barbara Saints in their inaugural match-up. Coastal View News photographer Bill Swing pointed his lens at the Mighty Might game—where the wee-est members of the program, the 5- to 8-yearolds, suited up in full pads and played their first ever competition tackle football. The next Junior Warrior home games will be held on Saturdays, Sept. 17 and 24, at 10 a.m. for Mighty Mights, noon for Sophomores and 2 p.m. for Seniors at Carpinteria Valley Memorial Stadium, Eli “Meat” Perez and Emma 4810 Foothill Road.
