Bethany Beach to Frankford. Weather has already caused the cancellation of two Fire & Ice events – the beach bonfire, scheduled for Friday, Jan. 26 and the fireworks scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 27. Both events were canceled due to the condition of the beach in the wake of numerous recent storms.

“There’s a three-and-a-half-foot drop-off ” at the bottom of the dunes, said Lauren Weaver, executive director of the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the event. “A cliff and a river,” she said of the current conditions at See FESTIVAL page 4

event at the Ocean City Convention Center on Saturday, Jan. 20, with 300 constituents attending. The discussion about the impact of what Harris called “offshore wind industrialization,” was led by Rep. Harris, of the First Con-
