A Mayfield Crime Watch meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 6 p.m. (a new time) in the Mayfield Borough Building on Penn Avenue. Detective Vince Butkiewicz will be bringing along his partner “Riggs” for a demonstration. Riggs, a Labrador retriever, is the Lackawanna County drug dog who has recently helped the Drug Task Force on many of its successes.

Blood Drive

Valley Blood Council of the American Red Cross will host a blood drive on Thursday, Feb. 23, noon to 5 p.m. at WozniakPavloski Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7963, 284 Main St. in Eynon.
