Class Notes – 2013-2014 Class of 1944
Rosemary Mangini Fazio enjoys her retirement by playing Canasta at her senior group. Sylvia Repetto Larkin enjoys volunteering at the St. Vincent de Paul Society at her parish church. Mary Donlon Morrison enjoys gardening and reading. Helen Murphy, S.C. actively volunteers in Rockland County. Frances de Sales Paganelli, V.H.M. sings often at her church.
Class of 1949
Grace Keegan Bulger lives in Troy, N.Y., has four sons, one daughter, and eight grandchildren. She is retired, but still volunteers in a nursing home. Eileen McGrath Brennan is currently living in Pennsylvania. Dorothy Delaney, S.S.J. loves her religious life, and crochets baby blankets for “Bridge to Life.” Patricia Dugone Gambarelli lives in Sunset Beach, N.C. She wrote two cookbooks: Pasta for Men Only and The Four Seasons of Gourmet Entertaining. Frances Banzhaf Gerngross has moved to Nevada City, Calif. She owned a business in New York City until 2004 and spent time volunteering in an orphanage in Costa Rica. 46
Ann Taber Hassett lives in a continued care facility in Columbus, Ohio. She serves as a lector and altar server at daily mass. Dorothy Lucille Lupo lives in a continued care retirement community in Port Washington, N.Y., where she takes part in many social, physical, and intellectual activities. Doris Dillon McArdle lives in Clifton Park, N.Y. Her daughter, Anne Hoffman ’90, also graduated from the Mount. Mary Ann Bresnahan O’Leary lives in Plainfield, N.J. She is a retired high school teacher, and has 4 living children, 12 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Rosemary Lally Rinlow became a great grandmother to twins in October 2014. Mary Rose Dempsey Tobin happily lives in a continued care community in Southbury, Conn. Joan Klintworth Walsh and her husband are celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary. Joan and her husband travel extensively, and spend their winters in Vero Beach, Fla. Mary McGovern Warner has 5 children, 11 grandchildren, and a great grandchild. She worked for 22 years as a hospital nurse.
Edna Sandroni Ulasewicz lives in Pasadena, Calif. She has three children and six grandchildren. She also volunteers for the Pasadena Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers, is active in her parish, and serves as president of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society at Saint Bede’s Church. Ida Giella Zucca lives in Orlando, Fla. She tries to spend most of her time volunteering at her church.

Grace Polisse Byrne lives in Barnegat Light, N.J., and volunteers at her parish food pantry and other community organizations. Theresa Capria, S.C. lives in Yonkers, N.Y., volunteers in the Sisters of Charity archives, and serves on several committees. She remains the Sacristan for the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception at College liturgies for the Sisters of Charity. Barbara Leidinger Clark currently lives in Arizona and works with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. A. Joan Taylor Connor recently lost her husband and son. She spent last April in Vero Beach, Fla. Claire Smith Griswold lives in Florida and spends holidays in New Jersey.
Joan Boggi Ionata resides in Dunedin, Fla., and is fortunate to have her six children living close by. Beatrice Chao Lee writes for bilingual online papers on Bostonese.com and Shenghuonet.com. Suzanne Recca Ochoa and her husband have recently moved to Manhattan. Virginia (Ginny) Bianco Pappalardo is currently living in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and enjoys traveling. Patricia (Pat) Anderson Pittari resides in Amelia Island, Fla., and in North Carolina. Her family has reunions in the North Carolina Mountains each July. Priscilla Lamb Sassi lives in Manhasset, N.Y., and continues to volunteer at her parish and a nursing home. Marian Annette Segale enjoys living in Vermont. Loretta Theresa, F.H.M. attended the 2013 Silver Jubilee Celebration in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Last year she celebrated 65 years of religious life. Elma Pasquinelli Vescovi lives in Williamsburg, Va. She recently enjoyed a mini reunion with two former classmates, Angela O’Kane Maul ’54 and Marie Carr Dailey ’54.
Mary (Beth) Long Wainwright visits family, volunteers at her parish as a lector, is a member of a prayer group, and assists with Confirmation teaching.
Class of 1964
Margaret (Peg) Mackin Adamo is currently a science chairperson for the City School District of New Rochelle, supervising 52 teachers. She also enjoys taking care of her grandchildren. Janice Nielsen Allen and her husband Ronald live outside of Baltimore, Md., and spend summers in Wellfleet, Mass. She is a member of the fulltime faculty at the Community College of Baltimore County. Jane Schofield Angelastro is a sales associate with Weichert Realtor, and spends time assisting neighbors who are ill or need help. Eileen (Missy) Cunningham Bartley is currently running an eBay business, and is a partner of an antique store. She also volunteers in a soup kitchen. Lucy Birbiglia lives in Albuquerque, N.M. She is currently working as a counselor at Central New Mexico Community College. Patricia Christman Brehm resides in Florida and retired four years ago. She works with widows and widowers, facilitates a women’s group, and volunteers with her church.
