...WHICH IS WHY THE UNIVERSITY OF MOUNT SAINT VINCENT IS DEDICATED TO HELPING YOU PLAN AND AFFORD A QUALITY EDUCATION.
We’re committed to student success, and that’s why we keep the cost of a first-rate college education within reach—so that you have nothing to worry about except your studies. We do this by offering substantial scholarships and aid. Plus, our university experience is vastly different from what’s offered at public institutions, but our cost—once you apply for and accept financial aid—is often similar.
No classes of 300 students—our classroom experience lets you forge real relationships with your professors. No graduate assistants teaching your classes—every class at the Mount is taught by a member of the faculty. No taking away your scholarship if you take less than 30 credits in a year—we don’t believe in penalizing students who are motivated to finish their degree.
We’ve been recognized nationally for offering highquality academic programs, making education accessible to everyone, regardless of their family’s financial situation, and leading the way in helping people improve their lives through education.
We
are partners in your success from day one to graduation.

With a commitment to both academic quality and affordability, the Mount is not just a leader in the region, but across the nation. After financial aid, our tuition, room and board, and fees are less than most private institutions, and we continually strive to keep costs low. There will never be any surprises and you’ll know exactly how much you owe—we know that’s what you deserve: an exceptional education with an authentic value.
And we’re proud to share that Mount grads don’t just get jobs—they launch careers, allowing them to gain recognition for having higher than average loan repayment rates. Their average debt is 10% less than students nationally.
LAST YEAR, MORE THAN $40 MILLION WAS OFFERED IN MOUNT SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS.
We know you want a good deal—and we have one. Our tip is to look at net price. Net price is what you will pay after you accept all of your financial aid offers, and this amount is always less than the published tuition and fees (sticker price).
Financial Aid is offered after you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and, if you are a New York State resident, the New York State TAP application (which can be done through the FAFSA). Financial aid offers may include institutional and/or federal and state grants and loans, in addition to merit scholarships.
Our merit scholarships range from $17,000-$30,000 annually. All qualified students are also encouraged to apply for our premier scholarship and award programs, which offer awards that may cover full tuition or full room and board. Remember to look beyond the published tuition or sticker price. When comparing net price, a top-notch private college education may be more affordable than you think.
Odds are you’re leaving money on the table—don’t forget to complete your FAFSA. Students who submit a FAFSA and a NYS TAP application may be eligible for up to $25,000 in additional financial aid offers.
File a FAFSA at studentaid.gov using school code 002703. File a NYS TAP application (if applying separate from FAFSA) at hesc.ny.gov using school code 0130.
